Razer DeathAdder v3 Pro Review: The Best of the Best
Вставка
- Опубліковано 18 сер 2024
- my hands are 18 * 9cm for reference
The Razer DeathAdder v3 Pro truly stands above the competition. Its price tag is hard to swallow, especially when compared to a mouse like the Xlite v2, but the no-compromises approach to its design should be enough for you to consider it as your next mouse.
I might tweet sometimes, give me a follow :)

I loved every single review of yours, the way you break down the features and especially the shape of each mouse is simply unmatched.
Every time I'm interested in a mouse, you're the first one I look up.
I hope you're doing well man.
hes not uploaded in ages ):
i always feel like you kinda overhype your favorite mice. g303, za-13-, np-01(s) now the da v3. they always are the best mice on earth - until your next video. i would love some kind of ranking or "seal" to put your testing results in a better "frame", if you catch my drift. :) anyways, awesome and very detailled video as always. keep it up man!
I think that's just how peripherals work. What's going to feel the best for you is what you've put the most time on, so during the course of testing a product for a review, it's going to start to eclipse old favorites and get you excited.
Also, it seems like mice have been advancing quite quickly in the wake of the GPX's success. The new razer mice are leagues better than almost anything that was out a year, or even just a few months ago, which does lead me to want to hype them up for pushing the industry.
Plus I only pick up products that seem like they would be suitable for me, and even then I don't review everything that I try out since I'm far more motivated to put the time into covering what I actually enjoy, which does certainly skew my reviews positively.
However, I should include more talk in each video on how what I'm reviewing stacks up to other options currently. There is certainly a lot of context missing that could better illuminate how quickly things are advancing and how my tastes are changing over time. I'll release a top mice video soonish that'll function as a roundup of "approved" mice, then I'll try to speak more on the state of my best mice in each individual review.
Thank you for the great feedback.
His content is top notch regardless. Honestly, i really appreciate how in-depth he dives in especially with mousepads something many can't do nor bother to compare them to similar pads to give an idea where is belongs.
Tho, i still find it very hard to believe every reviewer has flawless and spectacular Razer mouse and i have 7 bloated with QC issues either out of the box or after a short period of use. Bad luck once - aight, twice - happens. 7 times makes me feel like the unluckiest person on Earth, but in that case my other mice would be flawed or develope flaws and they don't. Lowkey, at this point i am prejudiced against Razer, ngl. I want to try the VV2 Pro and Dave but at the same time i don't. At a quick look at most comment sections, many people have already RMA'ed their Daves 2 to 3 times which is quite concerning. Full props to Razer in the technical department, but for me there is so much more to be desired and refined. Sensors with motion sync - great, 4k hz (exclusive to their store - bruh) great, if you care about that one and have the hardware to even potentially spot the tinniest benefit or need the mental boost of using "best and latest".
@@KraftyCraftKraf so whats your main mouse? or at least top 3? g303se, xlite, dav3?
It’s his channel and his videos, he can do whatever he wants.
@@farawayranger8489 no fuckin shit sherlock - ever heard of the term "feedback"? i also started with the implication, that is about my own personal feelings. this should tell sb, that it's just an opinion, not a directive order. please think before you type, thank you.
been binging these reviews, most comprehensive breakdown of shape and use-case, hope you can return soon with those comparisons, godspeed

Bro where you at? you have been gone for 10 months
Hope you’re doing well Krafty. We hope to see you return.
@@Criticalmaze WTF really? He's quite young isn't he? Do you have a source on that? I've always loved his review and been waiting for him to come back for months.
@@Criticalmaze It's about his death is such a shame, especially he's at a really young age. He was a great person. But since you mentioned it I guess young people are indeed more likely to recover from covid. KraftyCraft got unlucky. I feel really bad for him. Do you remember which reviewer it might be? I'd like to see it myself. I actually watched almost all of KraftyCraft's video. Some more than once.
@@alyskyatsushiro4718 how do you go on believing him if he didn’t even bother to provide a source?

@@xBen_III That’s fine ignore what i said. Go about finding him. Good luck 👍
Cant wait for the x2 review and top mice video. Possibly the best reviews on youtube. keep it up
What an amazing review. You actually talk about the shape in great detail and explain why and how it works so well, which is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
we miss you man. hope to see you soon
If I was a deathadder guy I would give it a try. But never could get use to the chunky felling.
Good review man. Appreciate you taking out the time to edit, render, and publish. And the Esports WU XIANG was a nice back drop too. Really unique pad. I just couldn't main it because the pad feels like it's gonna cut ya on the edges.
Cheers Krafty
Will KraftyCraft ever be making a return? I miss his reviews
been binging your content lately, gotta say your channel is vastly underrated
Such underrated channel, had to scroll to far to find your review.
Keep doing reviews I love how detailed you do them.
Really miss your reviews. Hope all is well for you and you'll someday come back! All the best!
I have the DAV3 for a week now and the first thing i noticed is the extrem smoothness of the sensor. I switched from the GPX btw. and that mouse was crazy good but the DAV3 is on another level. It is so smooth and precise it feels like i can hit every pixel at every time. I never experienced something like this and i had high end mice for my entire gaming history(over 25 years of experience).
The skates are also really good. On my other mice i switched to skates from Tiger or Corepads because most stock skates are terrible especially Logitech skates. The GPX skates are one of the worst ptfe skates i ever had. I possibly will change to Tiger Ice on my DAV3 in the future but at first i will see how the Razer skates keep up in a couple of weeks. For now i see no need for a change. They work well with my Hayate Otsu mousepad.
This mouse is the exact opposite of what I like...but it just works. I prefer small ambi's but you're totally right about it being effortless to grip. You just put your hand on it and that's it.
Also just wanted to say you are straight up the most detailed mouse reviewer on YT. Others have pretty b roll and do funny memes but you give the best actual insight about mouse shapes.
(sorry for bad english i tried my best )
i have np-01 which is mix of ambi and ergo but i'm willing to buy a new one but i'm confused what to buy
the np-01 has a very big hump towards the back+ ergo shape makes the whole palm on contact with the and i don't like that
you said you prefer small ambi's and that mean we have some things in common , do you aim well with ergo mouse and how much time did you put to adapt to ergo
the thing that keep me away from ergo is the side buttons bc the are placed high so it's hard to reach them
my hand size : 18.5*9.5
grip : relaxed claw and i can play with agressive claw or claw palm hybird (i don't like resting my fingers on the M1 M2 , 100%palm grip is impossible to me )
Some of the mice I'm thinking of buying are : ninjutso sora , pulsar xlite (med or mini) , x2 , gpx (100€)
just don't recommend mice like RV V2 or DAV3 ...
i mainly play tac fps (valorant . cs go) and sometimes OW2 , apex
@@Nedjm_Eddine Dav3 or wait for the EC wireless line of Zowie.
Zowie U2 is going to be out soon. It's time to return! We all miss you and your insightful content😢
Are we to blame Razer for Kraftys absence or life?
Hope you're well and we hear of you soon, its been 9 months :(
10:33 just wanna add in here regarding about the XLite. I bought the FE version and in everything that was mentioned in the video, I agree with. Now for the add on, there were a lot of QC issues with the mouse that I got. The main buttons were double clicking, the scroll wheel was loose and the body shell was creaky. Luckily, I had the mouse warranty (if I'm not wrong, it covers for two years?) and got my mouse dealer to fix it. So far the only ones that are fixed are just the scroll wheel and the clicks. The body shell is still somewhat creaky but it is way less than the one that I had. So yeah, it is just warning for those who are interested in the mouse but if you do feel that you will enjoy the mouse and want to bet on the chance that you will not get similar issues to the one I had, definitely go for it. I really do enjoy using the mouse and is one of my most favourite mouses this year.
A creaky mouse shell is usually the side button plastic parts making contact with other plastic parts in the mouse or bending when squeezed.
I've worked on a couple of Xlite v1 and v2 and xlite mini copies to remove creaking and those are the biggest contributors to creaking. Open up the mouse, get some krytox or any lube, and touch up parts of the contact points for plastic parts.
@@ToStrideForFame that's very helpful, thanks a lot!
As an owner of the DAV3 Pro I notice that this and recent ergo mice is that they adjust the shape so you hold it at an almost slanted position but forget to adjust the sensor angle to compensate it. The hassle of swiping for a 180 and it's not perfectly horizontal.
Others would argue to just use rawaccel and adjust angle deviation but that shouldn't be the case when you're paying this much for a mouse. 😑
great video, i love your reviews very detailed, currently using this mouse myself and i agree with you on all parts. literally the perfect ergo mouse out rn!
This mouse actually is one of the few I ended up returning. Unlike the EC and all its clones they opted to leave an unrounded sharp straight edge on the top right. It probably is not an issue for most people. But with my larger hands my ring and pinky finger sit on that edge making the mouse uncomfortable and unusable for me. I would say for people with larger hands like mine (20x11) the pulsar mice would still be superior. I’m happy this mouse is working for so many people though.
Bro come back you're the best in detail reviewer 😭
I truly miss your mouse reviews, pls come back soon
Miss ur reviews man. Hope u are doing well :o
Nope. Not while the Xlite V2 exists at HALF the price. I see you addressed this. Very good video, I own both and will 100% be sending the DA V3 Pro back. Preference favours me in this instance - I just can't even grip the DA - feel like I'm getting an RSI just trying to grip it (This is day 2...............)
Really astute stuff I am subscribing.
very good review and comparison. i need this in my collection, such an honest review and the end comments.
Love how detailed you are with your descriptions. I would love to hear about how these new top mice fare against your old favorite mice so I know if it’s worth upgrading.
That is a sick mousepad btw. What pad is that?
EspTiger Wuxiang - Tiger of the North/South/East/West (don’t remember)
this could very well be the perfect mosue review.
spending a minute to talk about the tech, which cannot be changed and cannot be adapted to.
and the going into who can take advantage of that tech or what the mosue does to potentially make up for bad tech
@kraftycraft are you planning to make more reviews? best reviewer
Cool review. Will be w8ing for 1 month ergo experiment results.
Still main the G303? I feel like it’s my favorite based on weight alone. I like how solid it feels
fair warning for those of us with hands that are unusually wide compared to their length~ ive got 19x12 cm hands and picked this up, been using it for a few days and my hand still feels confused when trying to find some way to grip the thing. how i end up settling ends up being an awkward kind of claw thats closer to fingertip, where a tiny bit of my palm by the base of my thumb makes contact to anchor it. the sensor positioning also just makes aiming feel odd somehow despite it seeming like the right spot on paper. since i can never find a consistent grip its as if the sensors angle is constantly jumping around throughout matches, i think id have preferred it just a tad lower as well. looking like im gonna return it and keep looking, which is a shame since so much about it is perfect! thinking ill check out that xlite v2 or the g303 shroud
(i hate the scroll wheel though, its so light that i get occasional random scrolls when placing it down after lifting to reposition it. quick scrolls for bhopping end up taking less time as well due to how light it is, making the timing for that much tighter than other mice)
I literally have the same hand size,19x12. I went to best buy to get the V3 pro, I already had the box in my hands and looked up and saw they had it on display so I put my hands on it and knew the shape wasn't for me right away because of dip. So I put it back and ordered the the g303 of amazon which comes in tomorrow. Which mice have worked for you?
@@JohnSmith-lk9fv the cm spawn (older version of the mm720 with the same shape) and intellimouse pro both felt the most natural to me as far as shape itself and how the sensor positioning aligned with my grip. ime pro is a bit of a brick though and my spawn is quite old/worn down so i only use them once in a while when im feeling like switching it up. g604 with the back cover off is my go to for mobas and games where i want the extra mouse buttons. cover on its horrible for me but taking it off is shockingly comfortable.
right now im just dealing with the dav3 shape despite still not feeling at home with it even after 3 months. i missed my return window hoping it would eventually click but it never really has. ive adapted alright but i still have to consciously compensate for the awkward shape and sensor positioning when i aim. the natural way i want to move to aim left or right gives me some weird slight up and down swoops/curves that i either have to consciously adjust for in my shots or use a very awkward grip to mitigate. i shelved it for a while but when i got a 360hz monitor i grabbed a 4khz dongle just to try figuring it wouldnt be that different but even before opening a game i was like holy shit at just moving my mouse around on the desk top. at high refresh it feels much snappier, enough for me do say fuck it and deal with it's flaws.
theres supposedly a wiresless 4khz mm720 coming along soon that im switching right as soon as it comes out but until then im dealing with the dav3.
gl with the g303. i actually tried that one and it felt very natural performance and aim wise. i thought it might be the one when i first tried it, but i got pretty bad hand pains after a couple hours with it so i returned it. was bummed since ive heard a lot off ppl in 19x12 gang seem to really click with it without having any issues. hopefully you enjoy it!
What’s your thoughts on the zowie ec3-c? My hand size is 17 cm long and 10 cm wide and my gripstyle is relax claw all fingers are slightly curl
4:15 interesting take to say the gpx is grippy, i use it and the finish is awful for me. i sweat a lot so it gets incredibly slippery, and the slipperiness is annoying even with just a little sweat that can happen from mundane stuff like web browsing. i have to use grips for it, but my razer orochi was totally fine and i never noticed sweat impacting the grip enough to actually slip.
i have a black gpx and this was the biggest reason i couldnt main it, i literally needed to have a cloth on my desk while i played to wipe it down mid game
@@tides8463 in a way im kind of glad its ultra slippery, first mouse to force me to buy griptape and find out i prefer corepad grips to any mouse texture
09:55 If you like that your fingers are further extended, why not use the EC1-C?
great review!!! thank you a lot for that. im considering to go for the deathadder v3 pro (coming from a deathadder v2 right now). is the transition hard, because the shape changed a lot in my opinion (more modern, more fps like)?
Hi! Thanks for the good content
Are there any plans on a Vaxee XE review?
Does anyone know what happened to him? His videos were so detailed and nice
Besutiful review as always, also i wanted to ask, which anime is your youtube profile picture from?
Miss the videos. Hope u come back one day
Do you have any plans to review the Zowie EC2-CW?
I JUST BOUGHT IT AFTER GPX SL. ONLY THING I DISLIKE BESIDES MB SHAPE NOT BEING THE BEST FOR ME BUT ITS STILL FINE IS LESS SURFACE AREA OF GLIDES. SL GLIDES MORE SMOOTHLY
This is incredible. Thanks.
I was under the impression that zowie mice can come in different sizes tho. Is this DAV3 bigger than the zowie large? I have huge mitts and even the DA is just a tad small.
Congratulations for the detailed review.
1 thing no one says is that when you click the scroll wheel it doesn’t activate so well. You get a click but doesn’t activate unless you click harder. I play tarkov and you need to click the scroll to look left and right and it does not allow you to click it very smoothly.
I totally agree the ec2 shape is a kovaaks/valorant demon I've mained the xlite v2 since it dropped and it's still secretly my main, DAv3 is too small for me to palm and too big to claw so I am sad that we didn't get a wireless 1 for 1 old deathadder shape.
I own this mouse as well as the Zowie EC2C and prefer the shape of Zowie EC2 over every other mouse ever made.
EC2-C is incredible.
Never had any muscle memory, got all the vaxee mice (they are trassh), and instantly played very well with it.
hello @KraftyCraft I have the ZOWIE FK1-C and love the shape. Do u think the Razer DeathAdder v3 or the Razer Viper V2 Pro is most similar in shape?
Is there a difference in the shell material/coating between the black and white versions? I've heard that the white one can look dirty after sometime. I was really hoping that they would adopt the Superlight's soft touch rubberized shell for this one, but alas. Thanks!
I did have the opportunity to use one of these for a few hours, but personally I don't intend to buy one til the price comes down. Imo the HyperSpeed Dongle really should've just been included by default.
Would love to see your take on ergo vs flat mouse. I had an ergo changed to flat and recently tryed to go ergo again because of my wrist. but even after a while i still performe better with flat mice also they dont feel as good as ergo.
What would you pick if the EC-2 was wireless and the same weight?
I know this might sound like a weird question, but how would you say it compares to the G Pro X Superlight in terms of how much force to click?
Asking because I have a disability that makes me very weak, so stuff like that matters a lot to me. I got the G Pro X Superlight right now, but I've had so many issues with this model (double click, coating etc.) I already ordered the DA V3 Pro, but I can still cancel it depending on your answer.
Any updates on your thoughts against the viper v2 pro?
Which mouse do you feel most comfortable with?
do you notice any side wobble on the left and right clicks? (mostly on the right)
maybe im a little late but the g303 shroud, may u know any fixes for the dongle firmware update error?
Ive got the Xlite but mouse 1 feels like it sits a bit too high up - is the deathadder mouse 1 slightly lower than the xlite? (closer to the pad) Plz answed no youtuber has answered me yet and i dont know if to buy this mouse
any updates on how the Deathadder v3 feels?
Hello bro , i have the same grip as you and my hand is 19.5cm/10.5 which mouse that would be perfect with my hand ? They told me ax outset or np-01
off topic but I wonder which version of the za13-b vaxxe corresponds to it??
is the ninjutso sora review coming in?
would be go for medium hand 17cm and 9 width? palm grip player thank you!
How do you compare this with the Vaxee Outset AX?
can you recomend me some mice that are good for claw grip where you have contact at the heel
miss the videos
what's your handsize?
can you review the kin60? its a $60 kinzu clone that comes with a paracorded cable, ptfe feet, and even a lubed scroll wheel. what im curious is about the shape, which is a 1:1 clone of the steelseries kinzu shape
I’ve heard many people buying from them have got scammed
idk if i should get the lamzu atlantis or this
@@beegest_yoshi ye was thinkin about the xm1 when it was yet not so popular, my hand is 19x10.5 more or less and i play claw grip (not very aggressive but neither relaxed) and the deathadder v3 pro is because i liked my xtrfy m4 "comfortness" but had a trash build quality and was wired, i dont know what i should, its now 1 year that im maining the g304 its good but the sensor is not as good as new once i think cause sometimes it flicker on my strider, and the shape maybe its not for me, its not as comfortable as the m4 on the back palm cause its kinda narrow
What’s ur hand size?
VIPER ULTIMATE MINI WHEN
just saying I’m not spending another $150 I think I’ll stick with my superlight for now lol
Do V2 Pro aftermarket skates fit on this?
No
Just skip dining out for a day and get the DAV3.
Ive been through 3 of these on Amazon, great build quality for a few weeks then where you rest your thumb on the side starts to flex and creak pretty noticeably. So i just got a refund.
u can glue it thats what i did
Battery life probably much better on DeathAdder.
I love you
glad we dont have a cheaper wired version, great wireless trend
173 euros in germany...
Uh oh. This channel die?
Wow! im surprised your hands are 18, and you like it, gives me hope since mine at 1.5cm more
