As someone who isn't a fan of the former Deathadder all these shape changes just sound like positives to me. The change to separated buttons to avoid shell-clicks alone is a fantastic upgrade. I notice you said you naturally hold the mouse sideways, but later on you had an entirely different grip that must no longer have required the adjusted rotation so it just seem more like initial new mouse holding things before you figure out the right grip for it.
About 5 years ago when looking for my first mouse I hated the DA and instead went with the Mamba Elite. I've loved it but it's time for something new, I went in to a store to test out mice in my hand and picked this one up because why not? I was shocked at how natural it felt. I've noticed that the shape change almost perfectly matches the mamba, so for those of you who like that this is a magnificent replacement. Gonna pick one up this week.
It’s weird to me that people are concerned about the DPI buttons. If you remap them then sure I guess but I have literally never adjusted my dpi and can’t understand why anyone would feel the need to. You set to what is comfortable for all use and adjust specifics in games. I can’t see why you’d ever change that.
You answered your own question. Having two more customizable mouse buttons is very nice, and their location is convenient. I hate those MMO oriented mice with like 29302390 side buttons. The DAv2 pro is a great mouse, other than the buttons being apart from the shell, nothing about the DAv3 is objectively better than the v2.
i agree, i never touch dpi ever, i just set it up and leave it forever, ig its just people who are less than casuals who don't even know how to change sensitivity

My 2nd corsair sabre just went back to the shop through RMA and ive been trying like 5 different mice to replace the sabre since the Sabre was the *PERFECT* mouse for my large hand, absolute incredible shape and if corsair made a v2 with improved internals i'd buy one in a heartbeat but it seems this v3 pro has corrected some of the gripes i had with the previous deathadder i owned about 3 years ago. The only thing I like better about this mouse compared to my V2 is the usb-c charging... Who is asking for a shallower finger groove? Not me. That finger groove is why I liked the Deathadders...
Was expected a non-pro V3 one... The DeathAdder lineup is my favorite from Razer. I've been using the 2014's DA Chroma, the Elite and now the V2. I was really hoping for a DeathAdder v3 (non-pro so). Maybe later but kind of weird that they're releasing only the new Pro-model :/
For some reason this mouse causes a lot of wrist discomfort for me. I have pretty big hands but I think the ergo bump is not very compatible with my hands somehow
I had the Razer DeathAdder 3.5G for 15 years and now I am finally upgrading to the razer deathadder v3 pro faker edition (as it has better coating like the OG coating). I also had the razer deathadder v2 but the coating is bad and ended up selling it and using the Razer OG mouse. the razer deathadder v3 pro is exactly what I have been waiting for so many years the only issue is the coating. I wish they made the coating like Logitech g pro series. the Faker edition has a similar coating to the Logitech and some improvements to the razer deathadder v3 pro making it the ultimate option for someone who wants to have the ultimate mouse!
hey one question , can u run this mouse using the wire like for ever ? or are there any downsides of using the cable ? im rly not a big fan of wireless and loading in between but i like the shape and the changes.
If you like wired mouse wait for the deathadder v3 wired it also has the a top tier specs similar to the v3 pro, if you ask me i’m not going buy the v3 pro just to used it in wired mode forever when there is a wired version only that cost cheaper and perform the same as the wireless counterpart of it. And yeah i’m a fan of wired mouse
Wish they make this with less “pro” sensor and switch. Price it around $80-$90. Dont need it to be uber top of the line, just want the shape and even 75 grams im ok with.
tbh Razer after 2019 is all about cutting costs, if you compared the Deathadder Elite to Deathadder v2, the difference in materials and build quality is very noticeable I've used both of them for couple of years now and the DA v2 rubbers and skates weared way too quickly the body kept sqweeking 1 week after purchase...also comparing the kraken v2 7.1 to the kraken v3 specs wise the difference is night and day specially when i had to test both of them, in overall the products quality is declining way too much with nearly no changes in prices, probably it's finally the time to leave :/
I keep jumping back between the Deathadder V3 Pro and the Logitech G Pro. I do enjoy the Logitech for its symmetry, but the V3 Pro is just perfect for my hand. It feels like it blends perfectly with my hand, and with the lower weight it just feels absolutely right.
For me it’s more of a small thing but I don’t like that companies are taking the dpi button off the mouse and have to use software I prefer to switch it on my mouse .
randomfrankp what do you think is the alltime best gaming headset for comfortability and sound quality? Ive watched like all your vids and I cant figure out what to buy.
I completely agree if you look at the actual cost to make the mice. It’s cheap. They take mice that were wireless 20k sensor, rgb, same quality switches were 70-80 bucks. They remove features and sell it for more. But hey if ppl want to pay so be it.
Same internals, different shapes. Viper V2 Pro is amazing. I'm sure for those with larger hands wanting an Ergo, the DeathAdder V3 Pro will be amazing as well. Synapse is completely garbage and like a virus. Onboard memory doesn't store all user settings if you have another PC to install it on because you don't want it hogging your resources which is a bit annoying.
I just picked this up after using the Viper Ultimate for the past 3 years and I am really loving it. I always loved the DA back in the day but developed preference for smaller, lightweight mice. The shape is great because my hand size is a bit in between, length it's large, but width I'm right on the border of small/med. With my hybrid claw/palm grip this mouse fits my hand perfectly. The dock was one of the biggest selling points for me in getting the Viper ultimate over the g pro, but after about a year it started to get really finicky, not wanting to charge and I'd have to finesse it everyime I placed it on the dock. Initially cleaning the contacts with a toothbrush would restore functionality but that has really stopped working and half the time I just end up plugging it in because I can't get it to charge on the dock consistently anymore.
thanks for this Eric, I'm also using Viper Ultimate for 2-3 years now but I originally came from the original DA. I was thinking of going back to DA with this version and your comment just made me finalize my decision. will get this within the week. thanks again!
@@shooks20 the best mice I've ever used bro. hands down. perfect balance between weight and ergonomics. also lasts me about 3 days of more than 12 hours use per day. def recommend. you'll feel a huge difference in weight at first but after 2 days of use, it's perfect.
Bought the DA V2 and gave it away to my BF. Couldnt stand the shape. Tried the Diamondback, first one the scroll wheel failed, got a replacement one, again the scroll wheel failed. Been running cheap Logitech B100 for a year now. Been wondering whether to try this but my experience with Razer has been negative. Also wondering about Steelseries.
Why they change legendary shape? Now DA V3 Pro looks like Superlight, but anyway,I hope they gona make v3pro,without cutting specifications like they did with sensor and other specifications in DA mini
Maybe ill try this after my g pro x superlight dies. I really liked model d but it had some kind of debounce delay which made it unusable in one specific game for me.
This is twice as much as the WMO was in 2001. You got dragged in the comments for telling people to unsub other reviewers. Look, if they lower the price to match brands like Pulsar, then 💥 there goes the whole market. Everyone will just buy Razer and kill all of the competition. That's something you have to understand about pricing within the free market. It's highly unethical for larger brands to undercut the competition. Also, if this was designed to last an entire tech cycle, this is a one-time purchase. Use this everyday for 2-3 years vs a Pulsar or Pwnage mouse I'd say it's no contest. Not everyone is buying a new mouse everytime one comes out. $150 in 2022 for an "industry leading" mouse is entirely reasonable given the market. This is not a casual gamer's mouse.
why nobody talks about battery life on wireless mice?? I can't find any info on that. I have viper ultimate and it barely gets through the day of playing apex legends..

@@Chains377 Razer is actually being fair to the market, just matching what others are selling. Not to say they always do that, but they sell at a premium for what they value there gear. No argument about the tech. Logitech has been cheaping out on there customers for years now, and they just bat an eye to it.
Mashed up viper ultimate and g pro wireless
Reminds me of the G403, 124.0 x 43.0 x 68.0 mm
The only thing I like better about this mouse compared to my V2 is the usb-c charging... Who is asking for a shallower finger groove? Not me. That finger groove is why I liked the Deathadders...
Wow this is the best review ever i seen. You're did so detail bro. 👏
Why not just go pro?
@@northwestclasspnw7974 I don’t want to spend that much :/
@@virtual9003 it's razer that just comes with the territory
i dont get why you would get the white version cause the black one is slightly lighter and it doesnt get dirty that easily
6.47 on which game he playing?
For some reason this mouse causes a lot of wrist discomfort for me. I have pretty big hands but I think the ergo bump is not very compatible with my hands somehow
The only thing I see that is probably a no go for me is losing the ability to use the razer charging dock. You have to plug the v3 in to charge?
All wireless mice can be used with the wire given in their respectable boxes forever. So it’s completely safe 👍
@@JEntertainment06 thanks for the answer :)
@@failix4936 Np! You could probably also wait for a normal, wired V3 that would probably be way cheaper and still very useful
@@JEntertainment06 yeah sure, maybe it will show up soon :) atm im running the deathadder v2 , so far so good ;)
If you like wired mouse wait for the deathadder v3 wired it also has the a top tier specs similar to the v3 pro, if you ask me i’m not going buy the v3 pro just to used it in wired mode forever when there is a wired version only that cost cheaper and perform the same as the wireless counterpart of it. And yeah i’m a fan of wired mouse
Wish they make this with less “pro” sensor and switch. Price it around $80-$90. Dont need it to be uber top of the line, just want the shape and even 75 grams im ok with.
I like the older version more.
tbh Razer after 2019 is all about cutting costs, if you compared the Deathadder Elite to Deathadder v2, the difference in materials and build quality is very noticeable I've used both of them for couple of years now and the DA v2 rubbers and skates weared way too quickly the body kept sqweeking 1 week after purchase...also comparing the kraken v2 7.1 to the kraken v3 specs wise the difference is night and day specially when i had to test both of them, in overall the products quality is declining way too much with nearly no changes in prices, probably it's finally the time to leave :/
Just bought this mouse today. Love every aspect of it, lightweight, Feels great in the hand, and I don’t think I will ever go back!
2 years later and the mouse has kept it's quality and sound. I can't praise this mouse more!
For me it’s more of a small thing but I don’t like that companies are taking the dpi button off the mouse and have to use software I prefer to switch it on my mouse .
Having mongo hands the V2 as well as the Naga fit my hand better than just about any other mouse in the market. It's a shame they're making it smaller
randomfrankp what do you think is the alltime best gaming headset for comfortability and sound quality? Ive watched like all your vids and I cant figure out what to buy.
Is it Razer's EC2?
Damn and blast, I tried the Model D and it just didn't work with my hand. Hoped this could replace my G703, but I guess not :(
When is the normal Deathadder v3 coming out?
You mean the deathadder v3 wired? If you mean by that you just have to wait or ask razer
How did you get those superglides to fit on the Viper V2 Pro? Did you remove the stock feet on there or did you put it on top?
Thanks Frank!
Nice clean video as always.
Cheers
Ive used 2 Deathadders and im here specifically to see if its worth the price increase this gen
4:14 Isn't the Viper V2 Pro shared the same sensor as the DA V3 Pro? You meant The Viper Ultimate right?
I’m going to be looking at the death adder v2 pro, more features, and I want to try the shape of the v2.
what I love about razer is that their price always come down a couple months after the product released, sometimes to almost half the original price
Amen
I was waiting, it has been 7 months, the price hasn't dropped yet in Canada BestBuy.
It would be cool to get another button on the side under the 2 side buttoms for the deathadder
did the paint wear off more in the long term, I dont know if to take the black or white version.
Frank, will this be your main mouse from now on? Instead of the viper pro
Okay, but how good is it for Butterfly Clicking?
Where from can i download the Roxo Software? Thank you for your video and the detailed review!
Is it just for me that the link for the mouse on amazon is wrong?
Awesome review, Would you mind to review also Fantech Aria XD7? its my target for a tight budget
Is the mousewheel supposed to be that bad? Its really easy to park the wheel between clicks. and then it activates randomly...
4:17 The Viper V2 Pro also has 30k DPI, did you meant the Viper Ultimate?
I love the clicks on my prime wireless but the dongle is huge and it takes too long to wake up from sleep.
I completely agree if you look at the actual cost to make the mice. It’s cheap. They take mice that were wireless 20k sensor, rgb, same quality switches were 70-80 bucks. They remove features and sell it for more. But hey if ppl want to pay so be it.
how small is your hand if you prefer the x2 mini?
Which game is it that you are playing
Battlefield 5
Hi!
Which are the differences between deathadder and viper?
I'm between viper v2 pro and deathadder v3 pro
Same internals, different shapes. Viper V2 Pro is amazing. I'm sure for those with larger hands wanting an Ergo, the DeathAdder V3 Pro will be amazing as well. Synapse is completely garbage and like a virus. Onboard memory doesn't store all user settings if you have another PC to install it on because you don't want it hogging your resources which is a bit annoying.
Agreed. Gaming Mice are getting ridiculously expensive.
@@GUkraine was gonna say the same thing, it’s just Razer being Razer
Is this a good mouse for someone with large hands?
3:30 might be cuz of the dead skin or somthing like when you rub both hand together it starts burning and u see black stuff
The dirt on your mouse is your own dead skin and skin oil.
you can clean your mouse or wear gloves
This is just an alternative or maybe even better option to the gpx superlight for the same price
How does the shape compare to the old DA? Same?
@@gooseman025 almost same but less aggressive
@@kimPTRN Wondering how have you been liking the DA V3? I've also been using the Ultimate for quite a while and looking for a replacement.
@@shooks20 the best mice I've ever used bro. hands down. perfect balance between weight and ergonomics. also lasts me about 3 days of more than 12 hours use per day. def recommend. you'll feel a huge difference in weight at first but after 2 days of use, it's perfect.
How do people see a G pro X in this? It is a ergo shape based on the EC shape unlike the g pro X being a symmetrical shape.
What are your hand size
Why they change legendary shape? Now DA V3 Pro looks like Superlight, but anyway,I hope they gona make v3pro,without cutting specifications like they did with sensor and other specifications in DA mini
What you mean on paper is the faster mouse ?
If you run a deathadder atm do you think going to this will feel fine?
Frank. Can you compare the performance of the Gigabyte GeForce RTX™ 3080 Turbo LHR 10G and the ASRock Radeon RX 6800 XT Taichi X OC 16G?
Guys i cant decide v2 pro or v3 pro is it a big difference because the price difference is huge i have rather large hands to
Maybe ill try this after my g pro x superlight dies. I really liked model d but it had some kind of debounce delay which made it unusable in one specific game for me.
Is the 4K dongle adapter included with the mouse or is that something you have to buy separately?
you have to buy seperately
Will a back to school tech video be coming out?
Saturday 😉
The battery life for mine is absolutely insane. About 90~ hours between charges on wireless, I'll vouch for it I love this mouse
Ill switch to corsiar if razer keeps removing rgb.
1:42 Pointer finger? Is this a new modern word for Index finger? Or is it just PK speak?
I like the Razer DeathAdder V2 special edition and the only thing i don't like is the left clicker. After using it for 5 months the click feels like crap, but this is the 2nd replacement so I'm looking for a new mouse but Thies days there making over price mouses on the market. Wish there was a store by me that I can test all the mouses.
What’s DPI and what does it do in a mouse?
I hope they release a mini ver.
Deathadder v3 mini wired version and wireless version, shape of the new da v3 but dimensions of the da v2 mini
Is... Is this the intellimouse replacement?
I picked up a DA V2 Pro this spring. I can't believe I've gone this long using inferior mice. I love it! The lack of DPI buttons on the top of the V3 is a deal breaker for sure, though.
I would suggest that if you truly need to change your dpi that often, you're using the mouse incorrectly. that's just my opinion though.
@@scLsn Well for me it's not changing the DPI, it's remapping two very conveniently placed buttons.
Les goooooo, watching a video by rfp after school just hits different.
i dont like how the shell is now to sperate things it looks better with the right click and left click conected to the shell
Is it only in white? this is before the video idk if you said it later
I am crying right now, just bought the superlight the other day and was looking for a bigger g pro because I am very tall with BIG hands. was using the deatadder essential the last 6 years and now today I see all these videos about the V3 and I am shook.........
It was leaked weeks ago.
this is nearly an exact copy of the benq zowie ec2-b mouse down to the dpi button on the bottom
but it's wireless and I love it
most comfortable mouse ever
Razer Viper V3 Pro or Razer Deathadder V3 Pro? I can't decide at all. 19.5cm x 10.2cm hand. Claw grip variation.
What did you go with?
what did u go with?
The discoloration could be because of the alcohol in hand saniters.
The death adder elite was my first real mouse, it was great! Lasted about a year and a half for me
Then I went to the Corsair knight sword, which was better for my hand, but I think I still preferred the death adder, I liked the palm rest though.
I have since moved onto the Logitech G503 light speed and it has been the best of both worlds for me.
I have gone from a razer man o war headset to the Logitech Pro X, so far Logitech is taking the cake for me.
Love my razer deathADDER ELITE
@@_Snapper same. been using mine for almost 5 years
Disappointed it doesn't work with Razors new magnetic dock. Seems like a big miss, especially since they removed the function for their docks that was working.
