Spanberger is talking about pre-existing conditions, so we need to set the record straight.
The Republican replacement plan protected people with pre-existing conditions. It lowered costs for everyone else, while specifically underwriting costs for people with pre-existing conditions.
My opponent knows this. Abigail Spanberger was in the front row at the town hall meeting where I read the pre-existing conditions protection directly from the bill (the American Health Care Act HR 1628). The bill specifically says, "Nothing in this Act shall be construed as permitting health insurance issuers to limit access to health coverage for individuals with preexisting conditions."
This is nothing more than an intentional attempt by Abigail Spanberger to mislead voters.
