While it is true that Obama has been lily-livered and even sycophantic in his approach to islam, Trump himself is not without fault: for he was the first president to give a ramadan dinner, and he is firm in his support of Saudi Arabia, which persecutes Christianity relentlessly. The fact remains that Obama has publicly declared his faith in Jesus Christ. Today, I cry, missing a man, a leader who took responsibilty and gave comfort.
This was the greatest moment in Barack Obama's presidency. After such a terrible and senseless crime he reminded us of the grandeur of the human spirit that lives in us all when given the chance.
Barbara Elovic You’re absolutely right that was the greatest moment for Barack Obama because he did nothing else

This, along with him holding and silencing a crying baby much to Michelle’s chagrin, and his address after Bin Laden got clipped.
OMG, I've only just seen this ... Obama speaks of "a reservoir of goodness" and then leads the singing of Amazing Grace ... brought tears to my eyes.... step up and choose kindness, love not hate and Obama keep up the amazing work xx
Who on earth would dislike this video? I literally cannot understand this. He embodies such light, sincerity and truth. Like him or not, he spoke and sung from the heart! God bless him!!!!
+paulmecelroy81
Believe me, there are detractors, for example those who believe that Obama is a 'secret muslim'.
Not only did he show his support for this congregation in a time of tragedy, but following his presidency he also attended celebrations in Germany of the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation.
Compared with the leader of my country, who is openly pro-islam and contemptuous of evangelicals, Obama looks like a model of reasonableness.
But I think Barack would agree with me, that it is not he who embodies grace and light, sincerity and truth, but Jesus.
@@jesusislord4135 so what if he IS Muslim?

I never thought i’d see a president that breaks into song.
Clinton played a sax solo...
The story behind this is that his speechwriter didn't actually expect him to sing. He improvised it.
@Robert RobertsonI agree. He's a good man, wouldn't do anything I wouldn't do.
President Reagan sang hymns on camera too.
Obama spent billions on universal Healthcare when all he had to do was expand the current Medicaid programs already established for poor people.
Be careful who you follow and support.

How will that be achieved? What sort of 'greatness' are you after? Jesus told his disciples, 'whoever wants to be great among you must be your servant.' Then the president should serve the people, not be their boss, and the nation should serve other nations. Sounds good, eh?

Neither. Why must I do as others do? Everyone seems so preoccupied with the galaxy of human 'stars'. Let's not forget that 'Amazing Grace' is a Christian hymn, focused upon God's salvation and not man's glory.

Just because someone sings amazing grace doesn’t make him humble.. words are very cheap if they aren’t backed by your life.. dude was a good faker.. I choose trump..Jesus was a Jewish man. Jesus said that no one is good but God alone. As God in human flesh, He had the right to say it, and I'll take Him at His word. So let us not speculate about Mr. Obama's motives. But somehow the moment 'worked'. And it may have provided ammunition against detractors who imagine him as a 'secret muslim'.
Likewise his attendance, after he left office, of the 500th anniversary Reformation celebrations in Germany (2017).
(Interesting point: not only is Mr. Trump great friends with the Saudi government, which persecutes Christianity very severely, but he was the first president to hold a ramadan breakfast.)

You got that right, it's just sad to see that we are truly a divided nation. Hopefully the next four years will reveal some truth to those hates and make them rethink about what it means to be elected president.

Trump says he brought prayer back to the Whitehouse, it was evident that it was still there during the Obama years. It left when Trump prayed for ratings.
Don't worry. Our Lord and Savior doesn't even "hear" prayers like Trump's. It just goes to show us that Trump doesn't even "Know" the Lord! However, One Day he will Wish he did!
