A traditional watch dial will always be more visually interesting and pleasing to tell the time on due to the changes in depth and texture that a slab screen will never be able to replicate! How long will I have the AWU1? who knows, its a good bit of fun though.

A bit of mental strain guesswork there with mechanical watches. It’s time to upgrade from my Apple Watch 7. I was looking at either the Hermes Ultra 2, or the gold Apple Watch 10 on the bracelet. Honestly it made me realize that I’d rather finally put the money into a Rolex that I’ll keep forever instead of spending another $1000+ on a piece of consumer electronics that I’ll replace in 2 years. Sure it’ll take me 15yrs for it to make sense financially, but it makes sense with some other changes I’m making right now. I’m just done buying cheap crap that I have to replace constantly. I’m done needing to be connected all the time. I’m done with everything that the Apple Watch represents.
Congratulations! That’s the right mindset! Try to buy food local or regional, clothes and devices from your country or continent, think of quality over quantity and invest in long lasting products.. and avoid items from russia and china, they‘re system opponents!

watch market will see at least a 25% Percent dip just like Automobiles . The Auto market is already in crisis mode especially the LUXURY auto market place .
I love the Reversos. I have two. The blue dial Small Seconds Tribute (I think that's what it's called), which I bought new in 2019. Christian from Theo & Harris called it a "mall watch," LOL, but I love it. It looks like the model you featured, but a wee bit larger, I think, and with a seconds subdial. And then I have a WG duo face from about 2006, which I bought used at a local shop in Boston, and has the neat day-night complication on one side.

I think there's less hype with Tudor watches. i sold all mine with no regrets other than the pink dial chronograph. the bubble has burst! im currently expecting the new Christopher ward trident. there's a lot of interest recently in cw watches. they're on the way up. great to see an underdog doing well.
By watch market being up or down you mean prices of specific models on the secondary market. Because I can assure everyone that all new watches on the primary market have only gone up. And most watches on the secondary market follow, too. It's just the very few ones that have been trading over retail on the secondary that might go down. So basically Rolex, some ROs, Nautilus', some other Pateks, others that make up a small proportion, combined. I watch a dozen watches from 10 brands, with value between 1500 and 35000. None have gone down.

I sold my more expensive watches just in time. Bought gold and bitcoin with the money. Not intending on going back to the absurdity of expensive watches and their servicing costs. I'd rather spend it on driving my classic car over the Stelvio pass.
I’m not a big cw fan so maybe my judgement is clouded but the desk diver smacks of trying to jump on the “fun” trend when they’re not a fun brand. Mr. Jones, studio underdog, etc. yes sure. Cw not so much. Saying that, it’s quite a nice looking watch. I’d love to see them do a similar design but less “hip!”

The desk diver is like the Alanis Morissettes Ironic single. An ironic watch that has no irony in it. It just comes across as naff. People who wear it are trying to be playful, really? Just wear a dive watch to work and be done with it.. Its bad enough with those who wear those silly ties to work..
NEWS FLASH - All debt-based nations are in serious decline due to prolonged deficit spending, printing worthless paper called money and the US Dollar/Banking System no longer being required for international trade. The governments' printing of paper money not backed by anything is why inflation is running rampant. So called, "corporate greed" has nothing to do with this dilemma. It's not just the "Watch Market," pretty much EVERY market is going down the toilet save for certain commodities. Wait for a few months, it'll be a great time to buy a luxury watch at an amazing discount... that is, if you have the money. :))
