I know this video is old and I’m very late to the party, but oh my god I feel so seen. I had no idea I wasn’t a dog person, UNTIL I moved in with my boyfriend who owns one. I grew up with small non shedding dogs and cats. This 100 boxer mastiff mix is a beast. Smells up the whole apartment if not bathed regularly. Drives me insane. We gotta put the trash up before leaving, pees all over the floor if not taken out 3 times a day, coughs all the time, because he’s “allergic to fragrances” and hair everywhere…my cats…just night at day. Non shedding breeds, I’m game, but THIS…never again.
There are definitely a range of dog experiences. I’ve met some chill dogs that really didn’t bother me. But the idea of living with a dog is… a lot. Even the cleanest sweetest dogs need to go outside to poop and require sooo much attention like the trash thing you mention. Dog people are a special breed… it’s an entirely different mindset. I have cats and they take care of themselves pretty much. If I died tomorrow theyd be fine, they’d eat mice and vibe.

Never liked dogs. I'm a plumber, so I'm obviously in different peoples' houses all day, every day. When people ask me if I like dogs, I just say "I like everyone", and I don't know why I say this. My girlfriend and I not knowingly of course, moved into a 4 story apartment building a few months ago. Everyone in this damn building has a damn loud barking annoying dog, and it drives us crazy. I have never in my life seen anything like it. We are literally the only ones in any of these buildings who does not have a damn dog. We can't even open our windows without constant dog pooping going on right outside of our window, stinking up the air. It's as if we have moved into a huge smelly loud kennel. We hear barking outside and in the hallways all the time, and it's inconsiderate how these dog owners just let them fight and bark viciously at each other. Also, these walls are super thin, and we can hear our very annoying neighbor's dog who continues to bark whenever it sees anything moving out in the parking lot. We can't wait to move. It's gross how apartments will let people have dogs. Some people do have allergies to them also. This new dog loving culture is beyond disturbing. They act as if these dogs are their kids. WTF! I miss the 80's.
Finally I know I'm not alone.They also cost a fortune to feed and take care of and CONSTANTLY require you to rearrange your life to take care of them.They contribute NOTHING and are an overated experience.Trust me I know.Than you for making this video.

I walk everyday and 9 times out of ten times a dog runs up to me barking. It gives me a fright. Of corse all owner say my dog is friendly and doesn't bite. 1st I don't know that and 2nd I only have ever been bit by a dog that was friendly and never has bitten anyone. So because the neighborhood doesn’t care for a crazy anxiety ridden pitbull at large he got his mom to try and babysit it. One day she was 10 min late, no shit 10 minutes the dog was left alone. The dog broke a window on a door and got out. Cats are so easy. Some dogs are like toddlers.

Hey! I know I am MANY years late with this comment, but, I just really wanted to let you know how much I appreciate this video. I was recently pushed by my father into owning a large dog breed (that I did not want), and my dad treated that dog exactly how you described and the dog began getting jealous of me, and it began attacking me. I'd come home to my mom's house with scratches and bruises and I'd live in constant fear of being at my dads house for school because I know I'd be left alone with the dog for hours while my dad was at work. I expressed these feelings to my dad and mom but so far, the dog is still on top and I'm getting blamed for trying to "play them against each other" or something. I used to have cynophobia, got over it, but this really opened it up again and I'm getting called a monster for expressing my feelings about dogs. I was in a really bad place in life and just felt really down all the time, and then I found this. You explain my frustration so calmly and very rationally, and I can't thank you enough for helping me through this 🙏 I know this is long, you may not have read it all, but thank you so much I deeply appreciate it, and Ive subscribed!

Here are my reasons: -Fishy oil secretions from their anal glands when excited or scared (my dog secretes a lot, it’s normal for her and not diet related) -butt hole residue all over house. Dogs poop and come right back in the house and sit on peoples couches and beds (not in our home) and leave feces residue everywhere. It’s invisible to the eye but if you wipe their butts you can sometimes see it, so you know it’s just getting everywhere. -smelly even if you bath it every week or two -gets hair everywhere, into literally every crevice of your house, even the air ducts. -constantly searching for food or begging -constantly staring at you. -needy. -scarfs down food like they’re starving, & sounds disgusting. -Worst of all is all the other people that worship their dogs so much that they refuse to train them, let them eat from their dishes 🤢 dogs have a slimy saliva residue that does not come off the dish even after many scrubs the dish will remain slimy. They’ll think it’s cute when their dog begs for your food or steals your kids food and they treat their dogs like kids and don’t seem to respect that children are humans and there is a difference between kids and dogs, they aren’t the same. -as you said, liking in the face. -they smell other dogs butts or dog shit or anything disgusting with their noses, but a dogs nose is wet, like your tongue, so it’s a mucosa, meaning whatever it sniffs can be absorbed into their nose and cause illness. Parasites for example. Me and my daughter have had giardia 2 times after our dog picked it up, that’s a parasite common in dogs that can be transferred to humans, usually in the dog it causes bloody stool, diarrhea, mucous filled stool and it’s extremely foul smelling. The symptoms are the same for humans except no blood, just tummy aches and foul mucus diarrhea. So dogs literally pick up nasty parasites and bring them into your home. -I also dislike that people have bred them to be so changed, it’s not how God made them to be. I no longer think dogs should be in the house if they are kept as pets. Maybe to sleep, in one particular spot, but not to roam around and live in. I do love our dog and I know if someone or something tried to harm her I’d go hard to protect her (maybe not against a bear or lion though unless I had a gun or bear mace lol) But I realize now how unsanitary dogs are and that there place just isn’t in a home unless you don’t mind that home being kind of gross and if you don’t mind be stared at constantly and all the other things I’ve mentioned. Lastly, the Egyptians used to worship cats and other animals, we have become like them in the idol worship of dogs and cats. It’s not right.

I own a dog and I've surely realized how unsanitary dogs really are (and all animals in general, honestly lol). As dog owners and sanitary humans, we just have to put a little more time and effort into bathing, grooming and cleaning up after them, keeping those tongues far away from our faces, off the couch, bed and carpet. Sometimes, I do wanna throw my dog outside because of the extra sanitary precautions taken when keeping him in the house. Trust me! Ahahaha lol! I decided it wasn't worth my home being clean or me or my daughter getting ill, and I also believe the Lord was leading me in this decision. May sound strange bc so many Christians love dogs, but, I have a strong feeling this is not Father's intention. Biblically speaking dogs are not clean animals and not good moral creatures either. I hope you follow those feelings that led you to this video. Our life has been so much more peaceful, clean, less chaotic, and less restricted since we re-homed the dog. I have not regretted it. I think it's very hard for ppl to overcome the desire to have pets, I've noticed it's HIGHLY promoted in movies, music and radio and humans are highly suggestible. He rated one athlete a 0/10 because he was on his phone and claimed, "he was pretending to be on the phone". That man doesn't have to acknowledge your damn dog if he doesn't want to and the comments of that video were worse, people saying "you can tell a lot about a person on how they treat dogs" and mocking the athletes career at that, it's so disgusting. I know this video is old and I’m very late to the party, but oh my god I feel so seen. I had no idea I wasn’t a dog person, UNTIL I moved in with my boyfriend who owns one. I grew up with small non shedding dogs and cats. This 100 boxer mastiff mix is a beast. Smells up the whole apartment if not bathed regularly. Drives me insane. We gotta put the trash up before leaving, pees all over the floor if not taken out 3 times a day, coughs all the time, because he’s “allergic to fragrances” and hair everywhere…my cats…just night at day. Non shedding breeds, I’m game, but THIS…never again.

There are definitely a range of dog experiences. I’ve met some chill dogs that really didn’t bother me. But the idea of living with a dog is… a lot. Even the cleanest sweetest dogs need to go outside to poop and require sooo much attention like the trash thing you mention. Dog people are a special breed… it’s an entirely different mindset. My girlfriend and I not knowingly of course, moved into a 4 story apartment building a few months ago. Everyone in this damn building has a damn loud barking annoying dog, and it drives us crazy. I have never in my life seen anything like it. We are literally the only ones in any of these buildings who does not have a damn dog. We can't even open our windows without constant dog pooping going on right outside of our window, stinking up the air. It's as if we have moved into a huge smelly loud kennel.
We hear barking outside and in the hallways all the time, and it's inconsiderate how these dog owners just let them fight and bark viciously at each other. Also, these walls are super thin, and we can hear our very annoying neighbor's dog who continues to bark whenever it sees anything moving out in the parking lot. We can't wait to move. It's gross how apartments will let people have dogs. Some people do have allergies to them also. This new dog loving culture is beyond disturbing. They act as if these dogs are their kids. WTF! I miss the 80's.
Finally I know I'm not alone.They also cost a fortune to feed and take care of and CONSTANTLY require you to rearrange your life to take care of them.They contribute NOTHING and are an overated experience.Trust me I know.Than you for making this video.

Hey! I know I am MANY years late with this comment, but, I just really wanted to let you know how much I appreciate this video. I was recently pushed by my father into owning a large dog breed (that I did not want), and my dad treated that dog exactly how you described and the dog began getting jealous of me, and it began attacking me. I'd come home to my mom's house with scratches and bruises and I'd live in constant fear of being at my dads house for school because I know I'd be left alone with the dog for hours while my dad was at work. I expressed these feelings to my dad and mom but so far, the dog is still on top and I'm getting blamed for trying to "play them against each other" or something. I used to have cynophobia, got over it, but this really opened it up again and I'm getting called a monster for expressing my feelings about dogs. I was in a really bad place in life and just felt really down all the time, and then I found this. You explain my frustration so calmly and very rationally, and I can't thank you enough for helping me through this 🙏 I know this is long, you may not have read it all, but thank you so much I deeply appreciate it, and Ive subscribed!

I got my daughter a dog. I thought it’d be good for her bc as a child my best friend for some time was a dog, but I hadn’t had a dog for 14yrs after that and wasn’t aware of my change of feelings. Now that I got one for my daughter, I feel like I hate dogs. Here are my reasons:
-Fishy oil secretions from their anal glands when excited or scared (my dog secretes a lot, it’s normal for her and not diet related)
-butt hole residue all over house. Dogs poop and come right back in the house and sit on peoples couches and beds (not in our home) and leave feces residue everywhere. It’s invisible to the eye but if you wipe their butts you can sometimes see it, so you know it’s just getting everywhere.
-smelly even if you bath it every week or two
-gets hair everywhere, into literally every crevice of your house, even the air ducts.
-constantly searching for food or begging
-constantly staring at you.
-needy.
-scarfs down food like they’re starving, & sounds disgusting.

They’ll think it’s cute when their dog begs for your food or steals your kids food and they treat their dogs like kids and don’t seem to respect that children are humans and there is a difference between kids and dogs, they aren’t the same.

-they smell other dogs butts or dog shit or anything disgusting with their noses, but a dogs nose is wet, like your tongue, so it’s a mucosa, meaning whatever it sniffs can be absorbed into their nose and cause illness. Parasites for example. Me and my daughter have had giardia 2 times after our dog picked it up, that’s a parasite common in dogs that can be transferred to humans, usually in the dog it causes bloody stool, diarrhea, mucous filled stool and it’s extremely foul smelling. The symptoms are the same for humans except no blood, just tummy aches and foul mucus diarrhea. So dogs literally pick up nasty parasites and bring them into your home.
-I also dislike that people have bred them to be so changed, it’s not how God made them to be.
I no longer think dogs should be in the house if they are kept as pets. Maybe to sleep, in one particular spot, but not to roam around and live in.
I do love our dog and I know if someone or something tried to harm her I’d go hard to protect her (maybe not against a bear or lion though unless I had a gun or bear mace lol)
But I realize now how unsanitary dogs are and that there place just isn’t in a home unless you don’t mind that home being kind of gross and if you don’t mind be stared at constantly and all the other things I’ve mentioned.
Lastly, the Egyptians used to worship cats and other animals, we have become like them in the idol worship of dogs and cats. It’s not right.

I own a dog and I've surely realized how unsanitary dogs really are (and all animals in general, honestly lol). As dog owners and sanitary humans, we just have to put a little more time and effort into bathing, grooming and cleaning up after them, keeping those tongues far away from our faces, off the couch, bed and carpet. Sometimes, I do wanna throw my dog outside because of the extra sanitary precautions taken when keeping him in the house. Trust me! Ahahaha lol! It's annoying as hell, but it's either we deal with it, keep them outside, or get rid of them lol.

@@CrissyRayaASMR Sorry it took so long for me to reply, I've been off youtube for a while. I actually re-homed the dog not long after posting this. I decided it wasn't worth my home being clean or me or my daughter getting ill, and I also believe the Lord was leading me in this decision. May sound strange bc so many Christians love dogs, but, I have a strong feeling this is not Father's intention. Biblically speaking dogs are not clean animals and not good moral creatures either. I hope you follow those feelings that led you to this video. Our life has been so much more peaceful, clean, less chaotic, and less restricted since we re-homed the dog. I have not regretted it. I think it's very hard for ppl to overcome the desire to have pets, I've noticed it's HIGHLY promoted in movies, music and radio and humans are highly suggestible. Also modern society treats you as if you're evil if you don't feel the same. I hope you follow your instincts on this one, you'll be happy you did!

I'm not a fan of dogs either because I don't like it when they jump up on me and I really dislike being licked by them. As a kid dogs would always come up to me on the street always me. I don't hate dogs by any means I just don't feel comfortable around them. I much prefer cats.

I feel you. I came to this video from a UA-cam Shorts video of "rating pro athletes friendliness towards my dog". He rated one athlete a 0/10 because he was on his phone and claimed, "he was pretending to be on the phone". That man doesn't have to acknowledge your damn dog if he doesn't want to and the comments of that video were worse, people saying "you can tell a lot about a person on how they treat dogs" and mocking the athletes career at that, it's so disgusting. I love animals but some of these dog owners are pieces of crap.

You are allowed to hate dogs all you want. I HATE when people tell me their dog likes me, especially if it's a really really ugly one. There are some dogs worth having around but the majority of them are not worth my time. Rabbits are cute. Dogs are ugly. Cats understand a lot of things. Dogs don't.
My dog can talk to me with yes and no and learned to open the trash which sucks for us but means he is smart because it opens with touch or sensing if it’s there

I hate dogs I never liked them at all
1. Dog owners don't want people to protect themselves
2. If a child or person is attacked by their dog the victim is at fault according to the dog owner
3. If a dog barks at someone they have to suck it up because they have mental issues and are afraid or bothered by the dog
4. Dogs barking at people doesn't mean anything like the dog is being protective
5. If a dog runs around and jumps up on someone with dirty feet it's funny to the dog owner
6. People don't let their kids run around acting like dogs because if they did the kid would be considered mentally ill.
7. If a dog causes someone who's relaxing outdoors to be disrupted its just too bad because the dog is premier.
8. If a dog is on the road and you're driving then you hit it you're not at fault which is actually good.
