The only reason I can see why these things are so cheap is because the Turkish economy is in the tank. I picked the same gun up almost two years ago just on a whim, and the only issue I had was that the extractor was a bit tight, and causing some battery issues. I tweaked it, and I haven't had an issue since in the last 2500 rounds or so. Oh, and the grips cracked around the screw holes at about 700 rounds, but big whoop. Those are easily replaced, obviously.

I have a question for you. I am looking to get my first handgun and I’d like to go with a Tisas 1911. I have a decent bit of experience shooting as I’ve been shooting on and off since I was 7. Most of my handgun experience is with glocks. And while I like glocks I want something a bit cooler and that stands out more. If I get a Glock I’d like to get a Glock 17C as I have never seen one and it’s cooler than a regular 17 in my opinion. So my question, should I get a 1911 in 9mm or 45 as my first handgun? Or should I just go with something like a Glock for it’s simplicity and reliability?
