    Hi Pete, that's not a bad gun for the price as it put the primer down quite flat, it's unusual to get a full size primer gun that uses so little air but it does put out a nice wet fan👌as you said I can't see Sagola actually making a gun like this as most of their guns seem to be made far better than this one. It would be interesting to see if you can get it to work with clearcoat using the 1.4 it would then be a great allrounder for the home user🤔
    A very interesting video as always, cheers mate👍

      Hi John, It surprised me how it layed the primer down. As you say, it was nice and wet and only used the air that a Pro Lite S (Sri Pro Lite) with the TE5 cap, which is amazing for a full-size gun.
      Cheers, mate, appreciated as always 👍

    Nice tool for the job Pete. Primer guns dont get alot of attention. Good on you for sharing your take on them. I use my rongpeng r500 in 2.0 and my FLG5 in 1.8 for high build. Not really looking for superior atomization just good even build and a reliable easy to use tool. If it's cheap and uses little air then that's even better. Cheers👍

      Hi Marc, This surprised me. To be honest, I wasn't expecting much, but it does ok and genuinely is very low air consumption, so a good value tool for people with a small compressor, cheers mate, I appreciate it 👍

    How would you compare it to your GF3+drill experiment?

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  18 днів тому +1

      The GF3 is physically much smaller. This is full-size, so if you need a smaller form, then drilling the GF3 will give you that, if you don't mind full size then, for the money, this is OK, the main benefit is low air consumption

    LVLP really does exist. They have fewer holes on the cap as well as on the nozzle behind the cap. They are LV simply because fewer holes would restrict the amount of air that can go through. LV reduces the rate of material laid down. They are slower to paint than HVLP, and suits the DIY'er where the speed of getting things done is less critical. For industrial scale application, it has to be HVxP all day long.

      Hi buddy, I think I've said before to an extent I agree with you.
      I get what you are saying. It's just pure physics. The problem I have is many people, including companies, saying their guns are LVLP but are not.
      HVLP is the most efficient from a materials point of view but uses the most air, the best for speed is the Trans Tech, MP, RP, HTE type guns as they deliver the most materials with reasonable air consumption, cheers 👍

    For me informative video. Thanks. Thinking on when i go to my local paint shop do i ask for virgin thinners for 2k paints.

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  4 місяці тому

      Hi Buddy, Yes, if you are mixing thinners with base coats, clear coats, or primers, then you want virgin thinners, commonly known as 2k thinners, cheers 👍
