I can't figure out how a 25 year old, in Liverpool, in the mid eighties, could write a song about how it feels to be 63 in San Francisco in 2021. Plus he has the best voice in rock since Eric Burdon. ( that will verify my age!)
Unbelievable, ,,,,,,,,,l've always loved this track so much , soo good to see it live here, When I was growing up in Brazil, discovered this track it was the first English song I translated , I kept singing the song with no idea what it's about. Yes I speak English fluent now but even without understanding the lyrics this song sounds wonderful,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, And look at the drummer , Pete De Freitas, very much still alive.
idgaf what anyone, including and especially the Bunnymen themselves, says about this s/t LP, it's still my fav Echo & The Bunnymen LP to listen to front to back.
The grey album is like the unloved kid no one wanted.... the truth was personal stuff between the band was causing problems.....laurie Latham polished the bunnymen and as a producer was trying to make them a little more mainstream than leftist and at times to weird for some.....I still think it's a great collection of good songs....
Actually Ocean Rain was the completely different Bunnymen ...Killing Moon was the one and only support on that effort, the gray album recovered... somewhat... but nothing like the intensity of the first three.
hey ian why dont you come to play in brasil the last time you came i couldnt go tô the show and everybody and press said was fantastic your music is soo special for me 😙
They didn't really fit into the late 80s and of course they , the Smiths and the Chameleons all split up within the same few months. The three best bands of the 80s for me.
one of the best songs they ever wrote
one of the best songs anyone ever wrote
Such a great song and such a shame they never play it anymore.
Echo and the Bunnymen were untouchable at this time...brilliant !!!
One of the last times you would see this assemblage of the band-the classic run was almost over.
Favorite song by them, one of the best of the 80's!!! awesome

Ik ook, later dat jaar op Torhout.
Ik ook! En Ian zei toen: 'A big cloud follows us everywhere we go'

É nois na fita !
1987, 20 years after Sgt Pepper, they opened their act with that song, and the words 'It was 20 years ago'
So perfect was this Band ...
One of my favorites songs ...
Thanks for posting !
The classic line-up of Echo and the Bunnymen, which no longer exists, lasted ten years
Yeah, before Pete lost the plot.
@@arricammarques1955 Pete de Freitas great early drummer Echo and the Bunnymen

Agreed! My favorite is Ocean Rain but this one comes second, it's a wonderful album, I don't understand why everyone hates it so much.

The grey album is criminally under appreciated. A different bunnymen, but always amazing.
Actually Ocean Rain was the completely different Bunnymen ...Killing Moon was the one and only support on that effort, the gray album recovered... somewhat... but nothing like the intensity of the first three.
@@c.anderson3444 Great songs. The production was overdone. The live versions are much better.

Absolutely underated song!!
Les has a very tired look in this footage, I think he knows the end of the band is near.
Awesome❤️👏
Great band great song but the bass is mixed way too low
Drummer was killed in a car accident 2 years after this performance
