Simon's parcel did not disappoint. What a magnificent haul that was!. Many of those cacti would fetch a premium if sold online. Needless to say, in your hands they will live on well under expert care.
My favourites were that Ariocarpus and Strombocactus Disciformis!. I have several of the latter but nowhere near that size. Just a beautiful, beautiful plant and one of Mexico's very best!.
S. Disciformis is also an extremely rare cactus known from only one or two small regions of Mexico, and is vulnerable to extinction in the wild if land use encroaches on to their habitats.
The Lophophora's were lovely too, nice polished sheen and well developed taproot. Simon is indeed a well accomplished grower as can be clearly seen by the quality of the plants here.
It is surely an honour for you and Hans to be chosen as the next caretakers of these nurtured specimens. They will definately add tremendous value to your already fabulous collection.

Absolutely fan-tas-tic specimen !!!! What a wonderful grower Simon is and so generous. I am sure he is having as much pleasure in giving those cacti to you as you are having receiving them. They were grown with love, that is obvious and the care he took in packing them up. Everyone of those little boxes must have been made on purpose to fit in so well. They are lucky cacti too because they came to the best of homes !!!!

@@desertplantsofavalon I have a small collection that is steadily growing. I have one unknown Lophophora Clump with lots of little pups. I am growing some cacti from seed including, Astrophytum Tulense, golden barrel, Echinopsis Schickendantzii and Trich. Scopulicola x Old Teds seeds all growing well. They are all very tiny though. I have a nice mammillaria flowering know. I should do a quick video.

Some lovely specimens there, congratulations, how generous! I was lucky enough to be given a few uncommon varieties a couple of years ago including a Tricho Terscheckii, a three headed Strombocactus Disciformis and Pelecyphora Aselliformis. It always excites me whenever I add a new variety to my collection!

I got several Epithelantha micromeris (Button Cactus) on Etsy and also picked up seeds. I’m unable to garden outside any more, so am working on an indoor garden of cacti and succulents. I won’t have a lot of space, so need small cactus, especially for my dish gardens. I’m pretty excited, myself! I also got moss rose seeds for an 8-10” flat cactus pot, so I can have flowers all winter. We have a deck and can put those and a few others outside in summer. I live in Minnesota. Many of the plants I’ve bought so far are *blooming!* Good sellers on Etsy, eBay and Amazon. Try UnusualSeeds on Etsy!

I would cry tears of joy too if I got a haul of Lophophora williamsii...for some reason I can’t buy these in Orlando,Florida. I was blocked from ordering the seeds by online seller due to Florida customs usually destroying them.
