Ladies and gentlemen, technically, this game is the father of the Red Dead franchise, the turn of events happened during the development of "Red.Dead Revolver", it had been originally being developed by Capcom as Gun.Smoke's successor, but the game was cancelled in 2002 for management issues, then Rockstar games acquired the rights and continued the development to release the game later as their own in 2004, and this is how we have Red Dead franchise Today.
Wow, this game was quite the challenge! I played it back in 2009 using Capcom Arcade software, which featured a collection of 2000 games from the '80s and '90s. The software allowed me to save my progress wherever I wanted, so I could load my game whenever I died. You'd think that would make it easy, but oh boy, it was still tough! Even with the ability to save, I found myself dying and feeling frustrated. To this day, it remains one of the toughest games I've ever played! Mad respect to the people you lost coins playing this game and still beat it!
Mi hermano y yo nos dimos vuelta este juego; toda una hazaña... mi hermano mucho mayor que yo, mi persona siendo solo un niño pudo batir este juego. Juegazo.
You had to have crazy skills to get through this game, i remember when CAPCOM classic was on the PS2system,and the following day for me i was off work, stayed up till the dawn playing this omg
I think this unplayable on a gamepad, the three button five dimension shooting would require button for each finger instead of trying to manipulate the system on a single thumb. Probably easier on a PC keyboard, haven't tried because I only have this in the Super Retrocade console.
This game inspired sunset riders team for sure. The main character is one of the main characters in sunset riders and many of the bosses also are very similar. Similar themes and attacks.

joe shmo I believe Red Dead Revolver(and I had the game) was more inspired by the spaghetti westerns as well as the old American-made western movies about the orphaned kids who grow into gunslingers and seek revenge.
True. After Originally developed by Capcom, Red Dead Revolver borrowed elements from their 1985 arcade title Gun.Smoke, to which it was intended to be a spiritual successor, but the game was cancelled in 2002.

Great playing. Great to see another legit playthrough of the game. Did you do this in 1 CC or was it edited? It took me around 25 hours just to complete this game, checkpoint to checkpoint. Brutal game.
Great channel, Im familiar with your work. What makes you think this was another fake run? Would not be surprised. Hard to find any legit runs of the game. This was so long ago I forgot what this video even was. ha ha
It was. And unbelievable hard. You have to remember enemy positions on evry stage just for possibility to stay alive. Remember, every try cost u some money.
@@tomislavgrzunov2242 I bet it was hard. The video alone seemed difficult so I can only imagine how I'd perform. The only arcade game I've gotten to play is paperboy and that one was hard. Totally something I wish I had gotten to experience.
The one I played had Wolf Chief Shotgun 3rd and Ninja Darts 6th.. Got to final round a few times but could never finish. 1 cc high score was over 1,000,000
You played the U.S. set 2 ROM. There were 4 roms: world, japan, us set 1 & 2. The other 3 were normal order, indian 6 ninja 3. Us set 2 had 3 & 6 swapped. Made it harder. Indian level is prolly the hardest level

I had this on NES it was a bit different, I remember you had to find the wanted posters and such to fight the boss if you didn’t find them the level repeated over till you did
The NES port was good, but it could have been REALLY good on the Genesis. 3 buttons to fire each direction and the FM synth would match the music really close as well

it's my first time to ever know that there's a game before Red dead redemption 1 released for the ps2 😅😂 dumb as my name i guess 😂😂
Wow!! This makes red dead redemption II (my very best game) actually have a history!!
@@thedumb-symb6011 LMAO! nah man you're fine, the game is a hidden rusty gem anyway, not a lotta people know about it.
This game was very hard, designed to swallow your coins super fast.
@DiscoGym arcade has more bosses, but nes doesn’t.
That’s all I have!
Swallow them harder than an OnlyFans THOT?
Edward Gaines 🤣
I have it on the multi game arcade case that is in my parents vacation home in the Smokey Mountains. It's ridiculous hard.
Yeah, is hardest to complete!
no 3d, no ray tracing, so simple , so playable, yet so difficult. good stuff.
Once again I have to say mad skills! This is one tough game from memory.
He's got a cheat enabled.
I played it on NES I think and it was very hard. I don’t think I made it to the end of the second stage
Very tough. As a kid I could never get past the first stage. Wasn’t an expert but damn man

Every enemy bullet looks like just another quarter in the machine to me
I had this game on the Commodore 64. Yes I'm old and on my first "games console" the games came on cassette lol
Me too lol
Craig that is amazing!

The ancestor of read dead redemption!
Forefather of Call of Duty and Battlefield.
I must have missed the episode of Gunsmoke where Matt Dillon had to defeat a throwing star wielding ninja.
Agreed. I never saw the one where he faced a fatass that threw sticks of dynamite 🧨and flaming frisbees either!
Una secuela de este juego pero al estilo Sunset Riders y lanzada a fines de los 80 hubiera sido un ÉXITO mas de Capcom.
The amount of bullets and enemies that are on screen are driving my ADHD to overdrive. I could never handle a game like this.
My adhd is why im good at it
Amazing game... I remember that when you ran into Roy Knife on a horse, it would resurrect with an infinite number of lives.
Kinda/sorta. Wasn't infinite. 256 to be exact. He will die a 2nd time.

Loved this game in the arcade, but it is very hard.
Definitely designed to get the player off or deposit another quarter ASAP

This game is so hard! Fantastic skills!
They didn't count on his Colt 3000, which fires automatically, never has to be reloaded and has infinite amunition.
First time I see the third boss. Even in the Wild West, Japanese will put ninjas. Never passed the second boss with one coin. The game was very hard.
There were tons of ninjas in the "Wild West." They were just so good at their jobs that nobody every noticed.
Good going! Nice blast from the arcade past. You didn’t miss a beat!
That's because he edited out the deaths.

The sin of the gun smoke!!!
Capcom sure got a lot of good mileage out of the 1942 formula.

A ninja on the oldwest? Barry did it again.
Barry?

It's basically "1942" (Capcom) in the wild west :D
More 'Commando' (still Capcom)

I am guessing they reused a lot of the code from 1943, changed the sprites to gunfighters and remarketed it. Clever.
