The study was carried out by researchers at University of Michigan, and is the first to show that an individual’s personality traits can actually determine how one reacts to typos and grammatical errors.
“This is the first study to show that the personality traits of listeners/readers have an effect on the interpretation of language,” says the study’s lead author, Julie Boland, in a news release. “In this experiment, we examined the social judgments that readers made about the writers.”

@@Alan_Watkin How do you know they were liars? Because Belfield told you so? He lied to his followers to obtain money for his defence. The sentences were concurrent because there were 4 separate victims and the crimes were not related. The judge wanted to ensure that each victim got justice individually and not collectively. You are letting your dislike of Jeremy Vine cloud your judgement of the facts.
@@emmal7920 no i think think they are liars because read and listened to news reports and i thought it sounded like they had blown it outa all proportion because that was their chance to get rid of a thorn in their sides, and so with the sentence when a (lets say) prolific burglars goes to court for numerous burglary's why don't they get consecutive sentences because im telling now MOST dont most are aloud to serve all sentences at the same time, i myself have been to prison and im telling you from first hand experience for a first offence (jail offence) this is unusual, and as for my dislike of vine i will say the same to you about belfield
@@emmal7920 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
I am just wondering if they didn’t work for the BBC would Alex still get a 5.5 year sentence. Personally I don’t think he would. He’s reported of sending thousands of emails to my knowledge that wasn’t proven and anyone can say they had suicidal tendencies this also can’t be proven. In my opinion it was a complete stitch up.
I don't really know the facts but I did think that his sentence was a tad too severe, shorter sentences for far worse crimes than stalking. The police have lost a lot of respect, most of them are really young and a bit woke. To handcuff an irate motorist who pushed a JSOil protestor out of the way is outrageous.
You do not know the facts, but you do know the sentence was too long.......
I think we all know the difference between differing opinions and harassment. Harassment is continual bothering of someone who doesn't want attention from you. If people don't know when to back off, probably police and/ or a judge will let you know soon enough!

Hi Sam hope your having a great week it’s nice to see you and Stephen again remember seeing your previous vlog about this case last year thank you for the update as always I you provide a really give a really excellent educational prospective and I really appreciate everything you do
He isn’t my favourite person but he ruffled establishment feathers. Hence his ott sentence. The whole affair stinks.
Sam. Alex Bellfield raised £135,000 through youtube for his court appearance . but he went on Holiday with most of it scammed a lot of people , He thought he would win and he lost .
Here here
He didn't scam them he only asked for 1 pound so if they gave more thst was their fault
@@christinequennell5855 get what your saying it's only £1. But weather it's £1 or £1000 he got it by false claims that it was for court. He represented himself
He even naming the law firm he was meant to be using. Just more proof he was deluded
It was a lot more than £135k. Nearer £200k.
5.5 years 🤡 judgment.
Very very well said and brilliantly explained. Agree with everything you said my mate and that doesn’t happen every day. You’ve got a new subscriber. Glad this was recommended to me. 👍👍
What you said about the old bill is spot on
Look at how many Woke Women Police Commissioner's and Assistant Commissioners there are.
In my opinion they are chosen because they tick boxes and not on merit.
Just Stop Oil were committing at least a Breach Of The Peace. The police are finished and they are certainly not policing by consent anymore. I know because I did 30 years in the Met.
I messaged Alex about going up against BBC & MET police. Jill Dando R.I.P. 🕊
Police and government hide the truth over Dando.
I like Alex belfield
I don't dislike him used to watch him very odd charge and going back years Why I realy don't know and why prison what stood out to me was Alex if guilty .Then some kind of uptake of therapeutic intervention and an oder to do so soon as possible. Maybe that is all this would have took but the sentence of prison is a very very harsh resort. I cannot see that it has resolved anything in any positive way .🌹
@@Rose-zw2oe Prison has prevented him from stalking. I would call that a positive resolution.
Just stop oil are a far left group who the police side with, they should be completely neutral
We living in 🤡 world
Stitched up.
Absolute stitch up! Should have been no more than hundred or so hours or community service not 5+ years in jail.
They should just leave Alex belfield alone that is all I have to say
Ironically, if he had left other people alone he wouldn’t be in this mess 😂
Not a fan of Belfield but I think the sentence was crazy. He wasn't targeting vulnerable private citizens - they were experienced public broadcasters who were flamboyant extraverts. Professionals who need attention and are often controversial to stay employed - being invisible with no audience means no career. They must receive tons of negative feedback every day and have media training too.
You obviously know nothing about the case. One victim was a videographer with his own business and another was a little known theatre blogger. They were ordinary people, not public broadcasters.
5 years for hurting some woke clowns 🤡 feelings is a disgrace there was a drug dealer last week sentenced to 6 years for being caught with 500 thousand pounds worth of drugs and a hand gun. There is something seriously wrong with the British legal system
Bellfield was a bellend, however they sent him to prison for next to nothing. If what he did is indeed an offense that you can end up in prison for then most of our media channels should also be in prison too.
What a sad state, 5 and half years, what do these judges think when they impose such manifestly excessive sentences, he should appeal this, injustice it really is
