Not hating tho. I'm playing Tears of the Kingdom rn @1080p 30fps, and it still looks pretty good to me! Played Boodborne, Ghost of Tsushima, and Last of Us pt2 all at 30fps and had a great time!

Its a cozy Console and TV Machine but its simply not the most brutal Powerhouse (XSX and PS5 aren't either to be honest but it is what it is)
I tried this game on both my series x and my ps5 and its pretty much the same. performance mode is shit on both consoles. that river part with the 25fps drop is the same drop on my series x. some serious issues with optimization on consoles (current patches too)

I finished the game on xbs x with quality turned on, i felt a lot of lagging. Why does it do that!? I cant remember if i played a smoothly rendering game after far cry 6😅
must be the frame pace. The game can run at 30 frames per second, but if the pace is messed up, you get a small window between frames that gives you that sensation of lagging...

Sometimes capped means it won't dip below the 30fps but will go slightly above it,that what I have noticed with my SX , it is going slightly above 30fps ....maybe it's the optimization

how is it possible that you have more than 30 fps in quality mode? Does the game have a fps lock at 30? I have not read anywhere that game has support VRR or unlock fps.
Ps5 allows you to turn on vrr even if not supported
@@marwanamr5941 NO.if the game has fps lock, you will never have more fps. Only if FPS unlock or VRR mods are supported. VRR will not help you in this case with an unsupported game. The only plus of VRR for an unsupported game is that the TV runs at 120hz even if there is 60 or less FPS. FPS is still the same though! Then VRR helps when the fps fluctuates below a given value. The difference is not so noticeable. I have tried it in practice with several games.

@@meedfried1434 there are some differences but not a lot, in fact performance go up by only ~15%. Probably the VRAM usage Is the only reason One would chose low over High or ultra.
But ps5 probably isn't medium, but something like High/ultra ( with Shadow and draw distance probably lower).
But as Eurogamer said, it's not native 1440p, but an internal resolution between 648p and 864p upscaled with FSR to 1440p (probably tested in the open world), and It can't even maintain 60 Fps.
In closed areas Is probably a something like 970p/1080p so a bit Better (source elanalistadebits).
So this game sucks, even on console.
Probably low textures and other things that use a lot of RAM, with the other settings High or medium.
This game run poorly on every platform and has some of the worst optimized textures in the last years.

Game developers are just lazy when it comes to optimization, and they are running too intense engines because they are trying to make the current hardware look outdated so you have to constantly upgrade which in turn allows them to charge more money for the same repetitive garbage they call games today. The game industry is over saturated and everything feels the same anymore
I miss the days where we weren’t so fixated on what p games ran at and just enjoyed them for what they were.

I feel like the Series X is a modern PS3, has "more power" yet more FPS drops.
Ps3 had a lot of power but due to the complexity of the Cell processor, developers couldn't use all of the resources the ps3 could offer, resulting in poor framerate. You can observe this in games like Call of Duty Black Ops. Game apparenlty runs at 640p on ps3 with framedrops down to 30-40fps on certain maps while on XB360 it runs and even looks better. Explanation for this is that on PS3 the game is only running on one CPU core. Yep.
Series X is really powerful. The fps drops really just depend on how terrible the game optimization is.

Even going from ultra to low settings don't bring much performance (at best +20%), so i think it will be hard.
The best would be something between like a 40 Fps with unlocked Fps and a resolution upscaled from like 720p or even lower.
But It Will be hard, especially in the open world sections.
I would bet on a more stable 30fps After some patch.

The ps5 seems to be a little more stable with this game from what I’ve seen, I’m on series x and the frame rate is consistently inconsistent. Hopefully won’t be long before it’s running smoothly
