I love the story about the sketches of the Curvy Girl he made on his Geography note book😍. 50 years ago things were probably different. It is true what he said. We are biased towards males who want to pursue a career in Cosmetology, Hair and Fashion. The background, the settings in the studio and the costumes are phenomenal. Kelum thank you from the bottom of my heart for bringing in a lovely humanbeing. I used to go to him during his Barnes place, Sumner place and then to his own place close to Sumner place salon in borella itself, until I left the country. I met him in Denmark too. He forgot to tell you he is an excellent ballroom dancer and he won the first place too in a huge competition. . Thank you Kelum he is so humble, kind and has a beautiful heart. Ramzi is one of the finest beauticians and talented make up n hair artistes in the island. If he was in Europe he would have worked with the likes of versace, dolce Gabbana and other greats. He can transform a woman into anything she desires to be.
Very interesting conversation with Rumzi Rahman. His singlish was awesome. I did like his soothing voice. Wow.....48 years in service as a hairdresser....marvellous. He had dressed noted men and women....and sharing his experience and memories with us is praiseworthy. Although he's an accomplished hairdresser....during this conversation what I liked most was his humbleness, generosity, kindness and humanity. Due to his commitment and passion he was able to make his mark in the fashion industry in Sri Lanka. As Rumzi mentioned today this industry is simply a money making venture...the true spirit of passion and commitment are not to be seen among the present generation of hairdressers. Very interesting conversation with Rumzi Rahman. His singlish was awesome. I did like his soothing voice. Wow.....48 years in service as a hairdresser....marvellous. He had dressed noted men and women....and sharing his experience and memories with us is praiseworthy. Although he's an accomplished hairdresser....during this conversation what I liked most was his humbleness, generosity, kindness and humanity. Due to his commitment and passion he was able to make his mark in the fashion industry in Sri Lanka. As Rumzi mentioned today this industry is simply a money making venture...the true spirit of passion and commitment are not to be seen among the present generation of hairdressers. Thanks Kalum ayya for having this productive conversation with this legend Rumzi Rahman.
