After watching this video I felt... Mr. Harris Wijesinghe is a true Buddhist... a true Sinhalese. Although I'm a Muslim.. I felt he is a genuine Buddhist. I was privileged to be a bride dressed by Harris I wore my mother’s homecoming saree to my homecoming as well. love Mr Harris’s style and his vision for brides. On my wedding day, I refused to wear bangles coz i really dislike them and Harris told his assistants not to force me to wear them and let me be me. 💕I really like and value the traditional wedding customs. I really wish my daughter will be lucky enough to get dressed by him on her wedding.

Such a lovely interview. So nice to see Harris. I was dressed by Harris for my wedding in 1987. Elegance is his keynote. He makes the bride feel beautiful without excessive makeup which certainly brings out the best in her on her special day.

So nice to see Mr Harris after 20 years. He looks the same. I was dressed by him as a bride. I went to him with wild ideas and he gently changed my perspective from budget to styles. He and his sisters dressed me gave my mother and I homemade lunch and finally put makeup on my husband too.treated us so well. Experienced first hand everything he said today- 20 years ago. I really enjoyed watching this programme with uncle Harris. Very loving , humble and down to earth person. I was so blessed to get dressed as a lovely bride in 2007 because of him . Same time I'm so proud to say that I got dressed by uncle Harris. He's the best person I've ever seen who keeps your natural beauty as it is. So sad that I couldn't give him one of my photos even he asked for one, because few weeks after my wedding I had to leave SL. I must mention this too , he not only dressed me but also choose my husband's attire too taking off so much stress out of our shoulders, when even we didn't want to be a pain to him.

No one can do makeup like Harris. He is the best. I was one of his favourite brides, I don’t think he remember.
He did a very unique hairstyle for me. When I went to meet him first time, he said he had a vision. Those days it was Lady Diana’s styles. I had long hair, but he did a hairstyle like Diana’s hair cut. Donald’s use my photos for advertisements. Magazines etc.

I have immense respect for Mr. Wijesinghe. When uncle Harris was talking about the traditional Sri Lankan Kandyan Osariaya I had tears in my eyes. The confidence and charisma a woman gets when wearing an osariya is inexplicable! One looks very smart and dignified in an osariya. I absolutely love the Osariya. Regardless of politics, I'm sure everyone remembers our former President, Chandrika Kumaratunga in osariya. She looked stunning every single time she walked into an event wearing an osariya. That's one example out of many. I agree with uncle Harris, people should never try to modify traditional clothes like the Osariya!

One of the best interviews watched in the recent past, Harris Wijesinghe a well known most senior personality in the Bridal Dressing industry, he is such a gentle & calm personality with any subject, being lucky to meet him few occasions there I felt much peace & calm atmosphere within myself. Part of his beautiful house is a little Buddhist Temple & other areas being occupied for his professional work & living area bring much serene to the house.
I must highlight that his profession is up to much perfection maintaining Sri Lankan traditions at all times, as he said some of the latest styles are not in his books, however, I believe he's an expert to mix the latest fashion with traditional fashion such professionals are valuable to maintain Sri Lankan cultural standards.
Proud of Harris, being an Old Nalandian, a humble gentleman you have been associating Kalum, the final minutes of this interview brought tears to my eyes the show of respect you both have for each other. Sri Lanka needs such people to expose their qualities & values where the new generation could learn.
