@Dom Mirra usually, but how much varies. Some people count Net carbs, not Total carbs, so they eat a lot more plants and less meat. Dr.'s Berry and Eades are advocating reversing that. Dr. Berry also advocates counting Total carbs not Net.

August 2021 I was well over 550 pounds ''at my worse I was over 650lbs". Since then I went strict carnivore for about 8 months and the last 8 I have been strict lion diet. I now weigh in around 225lbs, able to run/sprint do crossfit, walk however long I want with no pain. Eczema, lymphedema, hypertension, arthritis in my knee and ankles, leaky gut, fatty liver, chronic kidney failure, daily blood in my stool from internal hemorrhoids ARE COMPLETELY GONE!
My mental illnesses are a hell of a lot better than ever in my whole life. And I now know I was bloated my whole entire life and didn't know what it was to not be bloated.
Thank you Neisha, Ken, Dr. Baker, Dr. Ekberg, Dr Peterson/ daughter Mikhayla- for giving me the tools to save my life.
    Truly forever grateful-

I had a doctor tell me my fatty liver was normal, and he went on to say, "Lots of people have it and do just fine." OMG, this was years ago and freaked me out so much that it started me on the road to improving my diet and getting strong and healthy. Today, no more fatty liver. This video was amazing. What a wonderful revelation to support my decision to go no carb and 90-percent carnivore. Thank you so much. I hope more and more people wake up and get well. ❤️ BTW, I am 73 and got my first cavity ever at 72. I have all my teeth, even my wisdom teeth. On zero meds, no joint pain, and very active.

@S L I've never been much for bread, cereals, or sodas and sweets. I did eat them, but not regularly. I love veggies and those have been difficult to give up. My favorite meals used to be huge homemade salads, but I was not a vegetarian. I just liked veggies. Those were difficult to give up. However, due to severe food allergies, I cannot eat soy, nightshades, etc. I eat meat (grass-fed beef or bison, steaks), herring or wild salmon, eggs, and some dairy such as cheese, half and half in my coffee, grass-fed butter, and sour cream. I also occasionally have cauliflower or broccoli, but not often. Cannot eat pork or turkey because I'm allergic to the "broth" they add to them, but bacon seems to be OK. The food allergies result in serious pain, illness, and body sores. Not worth eating foods that trigger it.

My doctor back in 2003-2005 timeframe told me I had NAFLD confirmed with an ultrasound. After telling me what it was and what the long term prognosis was I asked, “What causes NAFLD and what could I DO to fix it rather than “treat” the symptoms?”
I explained that I was eating the “healthy” whole grain, low fat, low salt “recommended” diet and was running daily and lifting weights 3-4 days each week.
He popped out of the room and looked down the hallway left-right before pulling out Dr. Eades’ book, “The Protein Power Lifeplan,” which he has hidden under his lab coat and said, “Read this if you want to know how to reverse your fatty liver.”
That started me down the path from Atkins, South Beach, Paleo, Ketogenic, to … finally, Carnivore.
I actually had to eliminate cheese and heavy cream (butter is my only dairy product that I can consume) too. But now, I’m healthier at 60-yrs old than I was in my mid-30s!

Well, I can tell he’s on to something here! I tried vegetarian diet, because of high blood pressure, overweight, and it is actually worked for awhile.Lost a lots of weight and my blood pressure was improving, but my tooth was going south big time, also I progressively got weaker because I am doing hard manual labor so my calorie intake was far less than needed. I had to look at what I was missing,so I had to admit that my body used up all stored nutrients from meat,so I started eating meat again. I got stronger but my joints started hurting! Back to researching again! What I find out is,the meat causes inflammation but only because the animals had been eating GRAINS,not their natural grasses etc. since than I find a farmer who raises livestock naturally, and buying from him all my meat. I has been in this diet about a year now, since then blood work perfectly fine, joint pain gone! Turn out what was messed me up is sugars, grains, and mass produced meets.Hopefully it is helpful for someone.

Good you found what was ailing you. It’s very true that what your meat eats, you eat. That’s true for veggies as well, and most of them have little in the way of nutrition these days because the soil is devoid of minerals.
What the animals eat matters for many people. Some people may not be affected by it, but some people really are.

In ALL literature going back as far as written recorded history humans have been ketovores. Those who insist we were strict carnivores have zero written records and only go by some cave drawings of a hunt.😉 Those who insist that there were hominids and ancient beings who were strict carnivores that made up humanity are spouting pure THEORY. It is obvious from personal experience that ketovore/carnivore is healthier than heavy carb, sugar & chemical laden foods, but that in no way proves that humanity has always been strictly carnivorous. 😉

My blood glucose have been steady at 93 just waking up in the morning and then tapering down to 83 in a couple of hours. It remains in the 80s before and after meals all the way to bedtime. My fasting morning blood sugar was in the 140s back in December and triglycerides are now down to the 80s, they were 720 in Sept. last year! Yep, I call that a win! Thank you so much for this interview. Doctors Eades kicked off my low-carb journey when I bought a copy of the Protein Power Plan, back in the ''90s. I got sidetracked, but am trying to get back into the keto grove, much to the chagrin of my doctors. I'm so relieved to have actual, scientific evidence that being on the carnivore diet is actually the proper human diet. It's also a heck of a lot less expensive!

One of the "evolutionary" comparisons I always found compelling was the Khazak Eastern Asiatic people who live primarily on horse blood, horse meat, sheep/goats, & sheep's/goat's milk compared to the Chinese Western Asiatic people who live primarily on rice, sweet potatoes, and other vegetables. Khazaks are VERY TALL, large & robust people. Chinese people are some of the shortest, smallest people on the entire planet. This is the culmination of hundreds of thousands of years of epigenetic adaptation to differing foods within Asiatic people on the SAME continent.

A few years later I realized he was full of crap. I thought to myself "why can I eat chili peppers and Tabasco with no problems, yet a piece of toast and jam creates immediate acid reflux? Like hello how often does the average modern person eat spicy peppers or tomatoes just plain...99 percent of the time your eating then with grain of some sort ...
