Apologies for a newby question. This may also be revealed later in the stream but which five swords are eligible? Silver sword was said to be first one and Sun sword presumably last. Long sword itself must be another (but assuming you’ve picked up four silver sword before Melmond I can’t see buying one) but not sure which other two qualify.
@@rahenson1 It is said a few times during the video but the swords are "long sword, silver, ice, Sun, and Excalibur." I start off with a single silver sword, go to melmond and buy some long swords next because I'm not grinding an extra 12,000 for 3 more silver swords until I have a better place to grind.
One of the things I chuckle about with this game is the lower case G. Because of the way the g is written in the game's font combined with my really old crappy TV, until I was about 7 or 8 and we got a better TV I thought that they wrote g as ō 😂
Gotcha, I wasn’t sure if he would be allowed to be unequipped as the fighters have to punch in the early game as well. But it doesn’t technically follow the challenge.
@teecap71 The fighters are still better anyways. Black belts can't even hurt chaos until level 32. They would also be 100% useless in the early and mid game. Unarmed at level 1 the red mage does more damage. They just don't do much until way too late, they are for people that like to way over level early and aren't for playing fast.
@@ryanomac27 When you hard power the game the first encounter is pulled from group number 3. Group #3 in the ocean is Kyzoko, you'll get into it after 14 steps on tiles that cause encounters. If you don't want to power the console that often you can also do the trick near Provoka. First fight in the ocean, second just south of the town to fight geist, third in the ocean again for more Kyzoko.
@@ryanomac27 Resetting the game isn't Manipulating RNG. RNG is what happens in battle, things that make the fights random. The encounters in the game happen in a set order...the game only has 1 seed. There is nothing random about what enemy you will fight next, it is always set. RNG has to do with how many monsters you see and what they do. Oh, I just realized this a fresh upload. Too used to binging the older runs, caught me by surprise xD
Damn that was close call after tiamat 2

I know you’ve done a damage-by-magic-only run, but what about magic-only but no “free” magic (like heal staff, zeus gauntlet, etc)?

Why not use a BB?

How do you get the Kyzoku battle every time in the early game?
He saves and resets. the kyzoku are the first monsters in the encounter table in the sea. Resetting makes it work.

@shanezell ahh, rng manipulation. I thought you were using the reset just to leave town fast
