Thank you for the review. You re spot on! I bought this as soon as the sale started on Wednesday and I've been playing it ever since. 19.9 hrs so far and I can't put it down. It's so immersive. All I know how to do is make tools and sell them so far. I'm getting rich crafting rock hoes.
It's a bit like Skyrim, but you don't have to fight everything you see. it's a quiet, relaxing game.
Kingdom come was one of the best games I have ever played. I might give this a look

Mack, just FYI, the game is published by Toplitz, which seems to have a track record of getting unfinished, yet promising games to early access and when people buy it in bulk, they start a new project and drop that one and leave the old customers with an unfinished product. So don't be holding your breath that this game will be any different. Few examples: Farmer's Dynasty and Lumberjack's Dynasty.

This looks so good. Has so much potential. I can imagine what Mack said about days bring too short. I suspect both days and seasons rotate too fast and I hope the developers take that on board. But yes, it looks very immersive.

Hi, I am actually a SimRacer fan (I only play iRacing and ACC- yes, I am that snobby cunt), so I will never play any of the games you review, but I love your reviews. The lack of bullshit is very refreshing, and that even though you are clearly ill, you got out of bed from a sense of responsibility basically sums up why I watch you review games I don't 2 shits about. Honesty and integrity are rare, thank you for having both.

This is a great game, the immersion is awesome. 54 hours play time for me so far. Google 'Medieval Dynasty letsplay' to see some depth of the game from other players. it is definitely 'worth a buy' so thanks Mack for agreeing to that. Very surprised at the 'nay sayers' suspicious of devs'. This game, even if never updated further has been a great value for money fun time for me. Frankly I think some people lose perspective. Night out on the town to have a beer and see a movie = $50 easy where I live in Australia. That's tops 5-6 hours of entertainment. This game has given me over 50 hours of bliss and fun and still going. I love indy games, some are a punt, agreed. But if I get over 6-8 hours of fun, i'm a happy lad. The weirdest thing to me is reading bad reviews on steam where you can plainly see the reviewer has play over 100 hours etc. My brain just goes 'WTF'! ... lololol >idiot reviewer< 'Doctor, my brother thinks he is a chicken'. >Doctor< 'well bring him in so I can help him out'. > idiot reviewer> ' ahh not this week, we need the eggs.' ............

I started playing this last week. Having a good time with it and they have several updates coming in the next few months.
I love this game, was not expecting a "non combat" type of game to be so immersive... when I started I thought its to simple, but the more I played the deeper it gets. Its just fun and satisfying to get by and love the fact u can hire villagers to do the work. Great graphics and setting. Its a love child of kingdom Come and life is fuedal with a uncle who is dayz

Yeah tacking that on at the end really hurt them. I mean I get why it was the way it was, and I think having workers do it for Henry makes lore sense. I think integrating its mechanics into the game would make a big difference so you could a) customize positioning, and B) have the base not be in the middle of the woods far from the rest of the game because you had to crowbar it in after the fact.
I bought this a few of days ago based on this video (it was on special).
They've definitely improved on it.
I have a couple of minor gripes, but the emphasis is on minor.

If you die it's game over if you have no heir, happened to me but not natural causes. Still a young man in my game with 2 days of playing
At least 500 years (for tractors to be invented)
If you play enough, you will probably reach Cyberpunk 2077 one day

Right now you need about 100h to 120 hours of gameplay time to pass to grow your son to 20y old so he can take over your farm. So everybody who talk about you need longer days do not get the point of the game. Rome was not built in a day. You do not need all your village built and questline done in a single game year. Just let the days flow. If you get into year 10 or later you have nothing to do any more.
So.. kingdom come, farming simulator and crusader kings put together
The developers are constantly improving this game. They posted a schedule and they stick to it. Its well worth the price.
In a few years I will buy it.

i played it quite abit, the game is far from finished but hence early access, the devs are extremely quick to reply on facebook to any questions or suggestions, i for one am very excited to see what the game becomes in the next year

This looks like it has incredible potential. I'm Vegan, but I love hunting/survival games. If they get the hunting combat on point and make the days longer and food more balanced I'm sure it will be a 5/5!

Game has fully released today and have heard great things!
Played around 15 hours so far really enjoying it. You can add up to 30 days for seasons, too long a wait I say so I set it for every 12 days. Got high hopes, can't wait for the next review for it Mack.

I didn't find the food and water that bad once I got the perk. Game does rlly need like horse carts, wheelbarrows, or something though. It feels like a mix of an unfinished banished and a KDC UI and feel. especially when you run like 30 feet and your guy is alrdy out of breath, defo makes it feel like KDC

Yay Mack! I was waiting for you to review this game. Been playing it a month, can't wait for new content. It has a ceiling of about 20 hours currently, after that gets very repetitive and dull. So much potential and the engine runs great. Devs say they plan to add bandits and things. Should be fun
you need to go back to Endzone: A world Apart; they have added a ton more stuff to it including a leadership style system
