I have a Kyosho USA 1 VE, and i put the 4 wheel steering kit on it with 20mm axle extenders.. it handles and turns so much better
That is such a nice looking truck and it performs well for what it’s intended for. Might be a must buy for me
I have the original release (the nitro version with a .21) sitting in my garage. I bought it new in the 90s. It’s been a fun truck.

I did a DIY steering mod, and the truck drives so much better after getting out the slop. Good vid, glad to see a proper demonstration!
What did you do to remove slop pal😉
You can use the digital hobbywing esc card for tuning. The brakes are on the lowest setting from factory.
yeah. 25% is not enough. I want at least 50%
Hobby Wing Programming card works on the older ones with the Orion electronics. I hope it still works on these new ones. Nice video.
We were just gifted one of these from the infamous RC elf. This thing is nuts on 4s. Too much power 😁

I'm passing on both 😞, nitro & electric ! I due have both O.G's....neither compares to the new releases, in the durability & performance department. I have the mad crushers, I'm copping 2 bodies for my vintage. The new USA 1's are beast 💪 & everytime I see it run, make me want to drop that $$$. I would be afraid to bash it & would wind up collecting dust being my shelf queen, beside the O.Gs. Appreciate the cool vid Salute 😎 👍
Kyosho is awesome, still love my Bigfoot though, this is tempting for sure.

I enjoy my Traxxas Bigfoot as well. Super simple and good looking. Lacks in the stunt department but my kids love just driving it around.

That was great bash tony!!! 🔥 🔥 usa1 is a great basher. I’m very happy with it. The nitro version has been very interesting. I do prefer electric over nitro tho. Kyosho has done a great job with this. Thanks for video. I can’t wait to see more!! 🤟
Nitro definitely has a different pull for people that crave the sound and smell. I like the simplicity of electric
@@CCxRC Nitro makes it feel more real for me, real engine, carb, air filter, disk brakes

Man this is so nice! I think it does those flips and stuff very well because I am thinking it's much lighter than the LMT and especially the ones you have with the metal axles... should do a weight comparison see what the difference is between them. Nice bash, for a monster I think 3s is good enough..wait until you use 2 good 2s lipos it does those flips without a ramp probably this chassis has gobs of power.
Seems like it will have gobs of power on 4s. The flips will get harder to control and it will push the corners even more.
@@CCxRC For that stunt driving you do I think the 3s will be perfect maybe you can get a good shorty type 3s pack and somehow mount it in the center of the chassis?
@@ShenRC 3s felt good. I have a second battery to balance the weight. THen just switch over the power as the first battery dies
@@CCxRC Run the 2 3s batteries in Parallel wiring, then you won't have to switch. Would stay 3s and have the combination of the 2 batteries in capacity.
@@CCxRC Yeah I was just thinking if you can mount it in the center of the chassis some how it may handle even better. How are those wheels and tires on it are they pretty light or do they feel heavy?
Yeah this looks like a pretty awesome truck Tony. Have to admit really like that body. Other than some typical Stock issues. Seems to run Great!!
If u use a hobby wing esc card u can turn up the brakes and punch control
I think the Kyosho Foxx paddle tires fit this if you ever want to hit the beach.

Totally get that. I’m never worried about scratching bodies. I get them to run
@@CCxRC all my bodies I have I'm scared to scratch in a sorta way. But I'm really trying to not be worried about it much. That's why I changed my lmt to an escalade
You think you'll start seeing this in some competitions?
Not with the current rules. It is wider than a lot of clubs allow.

I know I'm bumping an old vid but I'm at a complete loss for decision making between the lmt and this USA 1... I'm afraid of not having the best parts support if I go with the usa1
LMT is my favorite of the two.

The videos I have seen of it looked pretty good. As far as the links popping...I wonder if they stretch after use and that happens more frequently over time. I only ran it on 3s, and didn't really open it up. I have more fun freestyling it than going big.
@@CCxRC You have the right of it Tony. This is a great trail rig, or the 3s freestyle you are doing, open it up and go big jumping and it will have issues. It has way too much power on 4s for the ancient solid axle design, becomes really hard to control at high speeds, especially with stock steering setup.

Metro Detroit here. I got mine on Saturday and 4s is crazy, wheelie monster. Was not prepared for how much punch it has.

Love the truck but she sure isnt up to par with the LMT. Just my 2 cents.
It doesn’t handle the same. The axles on this look strong out of the box

Brakes only set to 25% out of the box.

@@salmenda the LMT handles more scale than anything Else I’ve run. It’s my favorite soldi axle rtr and basher. For racing, I love my freestyle RC trucks

Isn't this a 7.2V car? Doesn't a 3s Lipo battery exceed 7.2 v by a lot, or do I misunderstand how that all works? (or is this car not stock?)
