Usa1 is not monster jam, nor was it ever. USA 1 was part of the tnt monster truck series. Evrett Jasmer got out of it when they wanted the trucks to start doing trucks and flips and it all became coordinated. He was in it for the racing and for the show truck scene.

The USA-1 is in a class of its own. The only true monster truck you see today. And that’s what makes it special. I wouldn’t mind having one of these around. They are sick!

I like the Kyosho USA-1 especially the solid axle design with the 5-link suspension system. Very rare nitro truck has this kind of setup. I wish Kyosho will relaunch the nitro Foxx 2.0 rock racer.

I am currently deciding between this and a Savage X 4.6 GT-6. A Savage will obviously be a better basher, but the looks of the USA-1 is just incredible and something special with the solid axles.
hey my dude! I got some useful advice for you, regarding the USA-1 it looks like it's totally discontinued at this point. I have not seen them in stock anywhere. I'd highly recommend you get this HPI Savage XL (in stock now). It's a 3-speed, comes with roto-start and is super durable and fast - alnk.to/esWkoMT
@@hybrid32494 Are you sure its discontinued? Its seems readily avaible at least here in Germany and its still on their websites. But nontheless I think the Savage might be the better choice for me anyway. I like the format of the X more then the Xl, but the XL has so many more features (aluminium pipe, alu clutch shoes, 5.9 engine, 3 speed tranny, Rotostart) for just 100€ more.
@@hybrid32494 Weird, here in Germany its readily avaible at alot of stores and Kyosho still has it on their websites. I have been playing with the thought of Savage for a while; it will surely be a better basher, but the looks of the USA 1 and the solid axle design is unique.

These are special trucks. Getting the 3 speed shifting right was tricky for me but hearing it come up through the gears is magic.

I think the runaway could be related to a dead throttle servo. I have experienced a couple of Kyosho stock servos failed during the engine break-in process.
The Kyosho radio system has built-in low-voltage throttle cutoff protection, so the extra led lights would not be the cause of the runaway.
hey my dude! I'm thinking you're right about the likelihood of it being a near death throttle servo. This is also not the first time I've had a kyosho servo try to kill the nitro. I was sure to run a fresh set of batteries for this video too bro, so could not have been low battery related. I'll need to swap the servo out and hit the 3-speed baby!!!
I’m quite unhappy about Kyosho nowadays, they really need to upgrade couple things instead of giving us bad quality stuffs, and it’s not safe…their stock servo is not even better than a 20$ servo, but Kyosho it’s not cheap

Hey dude, thanks for checking out this video as usual. I am thinking it could have been a run away due to the fact that I had the camera on the car at the same time, my only other run away also happened with a similar kyosho servo while the camera was also mounted. There could have been some kind of interference due to the Wi-Fi and GPS signal from the camera.

Back in 10th scale gas truck days had a crystal pop out on in a regional race Amain in like Losi NXT. Was about 40min in to the hour main 3 laps on 3rd place and was sitting about 10 seconds behind the leader... the zip tie around the airtronics Fm receiver slipped over just enough to let that damn crystal pop out coming over a big triple that I over shot and missed the down slope landing on flat track that fired that crystal out of there and that NXT/Nova .12 took off like a bat out of hell... running across the dirt oval track and over in to a big field turn marshals finally got it when it flipped ran over to my pit grabbed about crystal set threw one in the Rx taped it down and popped the module out the Airtronics Caliber 3PS, ran up the drivers stand pit guy bump boxed it and I was back in the race with about 17 mins left. Was 2 laps down on 2nd at that point sitting 3rd. Ended up getting one the same lap as 2nd and running him down with about 3 mins left to go. I set a nitro stadium truck lap record while trying to chase down 2nd breaking the old record by .2 sec. I finished the race second but what a race it was! One I'll never forget because of that run away. That race also happened to be truly huge to me because that was my first big race with Team losi as a sponsor as well as Trinity/EPIC and Novak. After that race I ended up picking up Picco as a engine sponsor as well! I was the only female sponsored by Losi, Trinity or Novak at the time. Ended up running for them for 4 years! Meeting Pops Losi and Gill as well as the Big Earnie P really was high lights of my youth!

Ive had an esc act up on a 4s kraton and it ran away and smacked a curb at top speed and blew into pieces. It can happen to electrics too though not as likely. 😂
its the AA batteries for some reason they run hours with a hump pack and only like 25min on 4 AA batts

hey buddy! The lights I used are not Kyosho parts and did not come with the truck. To be honest they are like the cheapest EBAY style lights you could get, I must have paid 5 bucks for the whole set. You could get the on ebay or amazon easily..
Man.. I really want a USA-1 but I thought about getting the electric verison, since I already have 2 nitros. But that 3 speed is very tempting.
Only way we'll ever bring back nitros is to keep buying them man

hey bro! I got nothing bad to say about the electric VE version, but it lacks the 3-speed trans as you already know. I'd say you still have alot of cool features on the electric though, so not terrible in my opinion. I would get the electric too if it was much cheaper, but at this point they cost the same, you know.

Hey Dimitri, I want your opinion on something. I built up a rc8b3.2 pretty good and have only drive. It like 4 times for breakin before breaking the starter box(the compression is sickening). I found a sweet rs4 3 with a cvec and a 2 speed. I already have a losi ten t(amazing car) that kinda does what the buggy does, o think I should sell the buggy and get the rs4 since if I sell the buggy for 450(worth more but whatever) I could buy the rs4, and have money left over to fix some of my older trucks since I don’t have a job(younger nitro gang member). Anyways what do you think I should do?
hey dude! Let me see if I could give you some good advice here on this issue. The RS4-3 needs to be in good shape for it to be a good purchase, that's the priority. I'd say if your goal is to pick up a nice 1/10 nitro touring car then sell the associated buggy and make a vintage nitro Great Again! Also there is a possibility you could sell on the HPI or some of your other vintage nitros, so it's not really a waste of cash. Down the line why don't you find a nice used 1/8 buggy to run on the cheap. It does not have to be the sickening kit buggy, they are all very similar.

And yeah the rs4 is in great shape, and like I said, with the money I could fix some of my others, like my rs4 2, savage, 8ight t, ten t, tmaxx, jato. They are all working but I can use the money to finally build up some of them to how I have always wanted them!

I switched the gearing with the inferno gt3. You have to use tube on the gear shaft as spacers. It works better than factory.
The 1st gear on these is literally just for wheelies, you still get them with the gr3 gears.

Was it a high idle with a rich low speed nearly out running out of fuel.
It happened to me once yesterday and I have a new battery fully charged.
The only thing I can see is possibly a loss of signal from all those transformers and electrical devices.
The spot at my local mall where the big light pole is somehow caused a loss of signal and could make a runaway happen easily.
Hey man, it was for sure a weird servo glitching in full throttle position runaway I had no steering and no throttle when it happened and then all of a sudden I just returned back to normal. The battery was fully charged and that area is not known to have interference I think it’s just a bad throttle servo. At this point no other conclusions have been reached so far.

I always wondered in the back of my mind if that was happening to me to.
I swore loosing the tip of my antenna may have been it so I made it exactly like stock again sticking out just the right amount and hopefully I do not have myself a glitchy servo 😂👊☺️

@@hybrid32494 I bought a second mgt 8.0 as a parts car cuz it was sold as is. Ended up not needing parts so I started fixing it up, turns out it had no head gasket/shim so it starts up and runs fine until it's warm then it spits fuel everywhere. Can't find a shim anywhere....

Hey man, I just bought this thing and I’m having the same issue with it turning into a “run away” I also suspected low batteries at first but then realized they were fresh. What did you find was the cause of the problem?

hey bro! No updates so far. I know for a fact my batteries were new, there there could have been 2 reasons why I happened. It's possible the LED lights drained the battery faster than I expected, or/and the on-board camera caused some sort of interference to happen while recording. So far I'm at a 100% kyosho throttle servo failure on all Kyosho's I've ever tested.

@@nomusicrc Well there is the mystery bro! The servo seems fine now. It's possible that a couple factors lead to it, but that was a brand new truck with fresh AA batteries. Well I will likely remove the LED lights and swap out the servo then send t back to the owner.

@@rcsendandblast1579 i cleaned the transmission of the original lube, greased the ball and springs, seems to be doing just fine...you gotta mess with the adjustment screws for the gears! Thanks for checking in.

Great video, but doesn't sickening mean bad and horrible? The Kyosho USA 1 aint sickening. Its quite a powerful handful and a high piwered beast capable of 60+ mph , thats damn fast. I dont thick its sickening. Sickening is like shit , and bad this is freaking AWESOMENESS. I was going to get myself one but stupid hobby shop i use talked me out of it and trued to convince me to go electric power. So i didnt buy it at all. They probably wanted it themselves or for their friends. Im in Australia, and parts backup plus RC cars and trucks, in fact anything RC takes a damned fu#king long time to get over here and always very very limited supply. So i missed out. But this shop i go to is really annoying me and are about to be abandoned and i will take my business elsewhere. Like for instance ive been waiting over 1 year for a Traxxas Ford F150 high trail TRX 4 1/10 scale. I pre ordered it in may last year. Still hasnt arrived. But other sgops in Melbourne Australia are stocking it. Time for me to get a refund and shop elsewhere. Great video my man. Im subscribed.👍💪
