Krimh sound so good even out of the box. Your mix was huge too
Krimh drums is certainly better in this mix and raw the drums have way more ring and less cardboard quality. I think a better comparison though would be vs the invasion kit. The modern and massive suits slower songs and for rock.
Definitely agree with you. Invasion is pretty death metal oriented. I find invasion to sound to sound pretty boxy as well with no processing. But it is one of my favorites once it's mixed!
As someone who used Invasion for a whole now on most of my music, Krimh Drums sound better.
@@grimzee thanks that's great to know
@@omramoryth dammit just got ggd and the krimh free sounds eway better outt of the box in the same mix
Great riff man. Idk if you'd be willing to share your secrets, but how did you mix those drums? They both sound amazing mixed!
Cool riff!
Thanks man, Drop F is way to much fun haha
4:34 Round 4: fatality
"Finish him" 😈🔥 Love this plugin guys! It's my new go to drum plugin. Keep up the great work!
i own krimh and i own 4 drum plugins and krimh is my #1 now lol nice job jens!
@@ruddmedia Cheers! 🙌
i have the free version, i didn't even mix it, just adjusted the velocity to make it sound real. and it sounds so good with little plate reverb from sound toys.
Yea it sounds great out of the box! Also that reverb is one of my favs for snare
I’m using invasion to play my ekit this does sound very close. Great mix.
Thanks Ganesh!
Dude, i want to know how you mix the krimh drums? it sounds so good.
FUCK YES! Me too
Me three!!!
+1
Krimh cymbals and kick sounds huge
Krimh Drums definitely wins!! I don't use Invasion or Modern and Massive now.
Krimh 💯
Great comparison man! How did you edit your video?
I use Davinci Resolve for editing! It is 100% free
Krimh 🤘🏻
I'm with you on that!
Brand of sacrifice influence?
Nice comparison! Did you use the onboard mixer on krimh drums or external on DAW?
Thanks man! I did a tiny bit of leveling within the onboard mixer. Most of the big moves were done in my daw though
@@grimzee can I use khrim with cakewalk by band lab?
@@JeffSmith-pj7rmYou should. My advice is to buy a better DAW like Logic or Cubase. Your life will be a lot easier and fun.
can I download the template?
I own both and I prefer krimh, more user friendly and more options, specially for electronic drums. GGD need to add more instruments to modern and massive, my own opinion
I prefer krimh too! M&M has a really nice "pillowy" feeling to it but krimh is a lot more mix ready. And the cymbals sound amazing
The added EQ, saturation and transient designer and especially the way you can do all the parallel compression makes better too. You can obviously do all that within your daw but the option to do it all to one track in your daw is nice. One suggestion with the Krimh though is to have the option to send each individual track to both the master channel and to a separate out, not just one or the other. I’m sure that would be really easy to implement
Make a Krimh Drums vs GGD Invasion comparison. I think that'd be fairer.
Krimh ftw sounded so good
Both sound better out the box than after you mixed. To me at least. Thanks for the very cool comparison
Nice man! Love Krimh on this! What’s the guitar tuning?
Thanks man! I am in Drop F in this Demo
Why are there so few toms?
My be Bogren Digital "Krimh Drums" vs Polarity Audio "The Origin" It will be a very interesting comparison
I haven't heard of those samples, I should check those out! Do you have them?
Before I go with your patreon, plz tell me if your mixing course can be achieve with free plugins? I use reaper with only free plugins.
Yea it can definitely be achieved with stock plugins. As long as you have access to eq, compression, clipper, limiter :) if you don’t have a clipper there is a great free one called G-clip
@@grimzee I usually use diavlo but I own the g clipper too
Krim VST display is not moving the left kick pedal ... I can't sleep now ...
Haha yea I programmed all the kicks on the "right kick"
Krimh, no doubt
Krimh slams. even the out of the box comparison GGD sound papery compared to krimh. but it might only work for this particular situation
I'm with you on that. Krimh over all has a more processed sound which lends its self more to this style of metal
I have both and I think krimh is the winner
Khrim
People may wanna hunt me down after this comment and hurt me but I like the M&M snare better. Def don’t like the raw snare better but the way you mixed it I like better and lets be real…. The snare is really all that matters lol
Something magical about those GGD snares! Really huge room sounds
@@grimzee yea to me, the room is most important
Krimh WIN!
Definitely agree!
Krimh all the way
I'm with you on that!
Krimh wins this one hands down. I found the kick on the ggd to be especially awful. Sounds like rain drops on a wet cardboard box, absolutely dead and lifeless. I was surprised by the outcome, I thought it'd be a close contest but the krimh drums won every scenario.
Now put the krimh drums up against ez drummer three 🤘😜🤘
That would be a good comparison aswell! I dont have EZ Drummer but i could compare it to Superior Drummer 3!
SD3 Death and Darkness SDX wins :)
Thats one of my all time favorites! Love the cymbals in that pack 🤘
Krimh sounds more natural with kicks and cymbals
Je préfère le son plus naturel du GGD qui conviendra à tous les styles rock...krimh c'est bien pour le métal
M&M is more hard rock oriented, though.
That's a fair point. However I've noticed its become a staple in the metalcore world as well
Can you share the preset for the krimh drums, maybe? I'll trade you a subscribe and a like! ;)
Do you use cubase? I have the project file available on my patreon 🤘
@@grimzee I don`t use Cubase but also interested
@@grimzee Nah, using reaper. But one can save krimh presets through the VST itself. It should be stored as a seperate file somewhere. Would really appreciate.
lol M&M sounds shit in comparison. we need an invasion - krimh comp! none on the internet yet!
Great Idea! Invasion is one of my all time favs, would be a great comparison
GGD Metal sounds better than these two. I liked Krimh's better tho.
I haven't tried that one yet! Is that your go to kit?
@@grimzee For metal so far yes, haven't found anything better not even in Addictive Drums 2 all kits in there out of the box don't sound as good as GGD Metal but probably AD2 needs a lot more eq for the sound I like cause the snares are awful
I agree I prefer the shells on OKW Metal over Krimh but Krimh's cymbals crush Metal's imo..that shimmer you can't dial out on Metal's china drives me insane
the raw/natural of GGD is a mixers dream tbf, but I don't think Modern and Massive was a fair comparison. For this type of mix, krimh wins.
I don't like the type of snare sound that you get with Krimh. It's this woofy, boomy snare with no crack. I prefer the ML Drums to both of these.
I like my old BFD2 and BFD3 Better, so no one of drummkits on this video.
Both sounds great , GGD MM a little better
