My loadout for the plas punisher on helldive is: Stratagems Commando - Deals with every automaton base in the game, none have more than 4 fabricators and allows you to take them out from extreme range. Also 1 shots hulks and gunships and 2 shots factory striders. Need I mention the insanely quick cooldown? Supply pack - Ammo for all my guns cuz this loadout is very ammo hungry. HMG - Obliterates devastators, hulks, striders and factory striders. Best anti vehicle armor support weapon for bots. Eagle airstrike - You know it and you love it. Great horde clear and great for bringing down tanks. Also fabricators if your commando is on cooldown but it's very very quick so that shouldn't happen Loadout Plasma punisher (ofc) - Staggering hordes of beserkers to death and stopping rocket and heavy devastators from completely destroying me and my team. Also strong fodder clear. Senator - Its the senator, need more be said? Stun grenade - I have the commando for fabricators, this is great for stopping annoying devastators, hulks or beserkers from killing you so you can kill them. Plus you have a supply pack so you can just spam these. Armor BO-1 TACTICAL - Patriotic, and broken as fuck. It has heavy armour (150) with medium armor speed and stamina regen (100). Also looks sick as fuck with the supply pack and HMG on your back.
I will say, if you dont know how to handle recoil (Aim with the circle not the crosshair), you may want to bring recoil reducing armor like fortified or engineering kit.
Not used medium armour since the tutorial. That said main build sounds interesting. Eagle strike is indeed an easy auto-pick for times when you aren’t sure what you will need to kill moment to moment. I just wish that AH would fox the dammed HMG red-dot sight, it’s been upside down fir 3+ months now.

If you're using AMR, I recommend using Rocket/Autocannon Sentry instead of EMS Mortar simply because using the AMR against Gunships will take 3/4 of your mag.
If you’re accurate and can focus down one engine, it only takes 3 AMR shots to down a gunship which isn’t too bad. Otherwise, I think you should still take an EMS mortar and lean on your squad to take care of the gunships. HD2 is a co-op game; you don’t need to be able to do everything and cover all your bases by yourself
My footage probably wasn't the best to showcase the AMR against the Gunships 😅 But as mentioned above, it can take out Gunships with 3 well placed shots to their engine exhausts 🫡
As a plasma punisher main, I like the Airstrike, Orbital Airburst, Precision strike/Orbital gattling, and the MG43. I run stun grenades along with it as well. A nice mix for crowd control and heavier enemies. Any stronger enemies like factory strider, that's what your teammates are for.
Been loving the PlasPunisher, especially when paired with the HMG, stuns, supply pack, grenade pistol for bases, and a couple airstrikes. Works really well for those cramped forest maps like X-45
My favorite weapon in the game for months now. So satisfying and fun, and while it’s probably the best primary against bots, I like it a lot against bugs as well. Great for dealing with bile spewers, hive guards, etc, great for dealing with crowds of small enemies, and one of the few primaries that can damage a Charger!
I cannot express how much I love the PP. It is basically a portable mortar allowing you to shoot from behind cover by lobbing shots over cover. My record for kills with a single pull of the PP trigger is 14. Caught bots all bunched up with some having jet packs on and it chain reaction killed them all. 14 kills per trigger pull is nice but rare. 3 to 5 kills for trigger pull is common. Very common. And it kills everything up to hulks. Efficacy goes down (though ironically less the more there are as the splash damage is great) on the bigger medium armor bots but it still gets the job done. I love the PP so much I have tried hard to make it work against bugs and it can....but you have to bring stalwart or machine gun for it not to suck.
The plasma punisher is my favorite weapon to use against the bots I mean it hits hard and it's staggers the bots and outright kills the small fodder, the only thing that it doesn't really handle well is the big hulks but everything else it takes care of no problem and it's the weapon I'll be using a lot if I had to fight bots
Instead of AMR, if you know how to use it well bring HMG, at medium and close range it does everything the AMR does but stronger and faster. Especially against gunships, extremely quick kill.
Started using punisher plasma and it's the best for bots. Because no other primary clears bot bases faster than this when you need to go in. Stratagem jammer for example. IMO if you need to fight a range battle then you've already lost or are wasting time unless you're extracting. Even then, you should be relying on a support weapon for long engagements. That's where the AC comes in. Because the bots will swarm you at some point. Whether it's you defending or you needing to clear a secondary. There is no better primary than the punisher for that. I'll have a solo no stim no death full map clear level 9 bot mission to prove that soon. Not a biggest fan off the build you mention, but I get everyone has their own opinion. My favourite loadout is the following. Bots is all about positioning, if you need more armour, then you need better cover and nothing beats the trailblazer armour which decreases detection range and gives you mini radar ping to spot enemy patrols up ahead. Autocannon sentry can shoot down gunships like crazy, missile sentry is meh compared to it against gunships.

A very good build when playing with a squad that communicate with each other 👍 I couldn't imagine bringing the mortar with me nowadays when playing with randoms who don't communicate 🫡
I always find a reason to take orbital rail cannon, especially if playing longer distance of AMR. Need a get of jail free card against that one heavy that somehow dropped 10 feet from you.
@thearchivist250 That's fair enough, I normally find a stun grenade and the AMR enough, especially against Hulks, but the railcannon strike is handy against tanks 🫡
best passive against the automatons is the Fortified passive (or the peak physique for certain weapons) since it stops deaths from rocket devastator/raider attacks and the AOE damage of cannon turret, tank, and strider blasts.
+1 i'd say that you need to get B-24 Enforcer (medium-heavy armor) or FS-34 Exterminator (medium armor) instead of heavy armor for extra mobility. B-24 helps with headshots, but less mobile.
For me its p. Plsm , nade pistol, cannon, rocket and m.g sentry. And Eagle cluster bmb. Try it you wont be disappointed. Mg recharges every 1.2 min. Keeping bots busy giving you to run away from trouble times. Cannon and rocket sentry are real heroes for me. Take outs hordes of bots , even tanks and hulks. If combine with eagle can take down strider also. You just need to place them right and left side. Its not only distracts bots but makes your team to take out objectives while your sentries take out them. This loadout is been helping me out from last half month. I need a secondary weapon I just ask my mates for it or take it from a corpse on the map.
Sentry & Shield is a combo I like by never use often enough. Mostly just the shield, I can never fit enough boom in my builds and standing still is often worse for me that dropping a turret then GTFO while the never ending spawn waves decide what they are going to chase around. I really wish I could drop the booster for a 5th stratagem while solo, even if it was “not red” that little bit of extra utility would be massive vs the extra stamina I usually bring now (I don’t have to share supplies so the package spade isn’t needed so If I’m not running around it’s vitality I take)
I use the yeet to clear distance sometimes but tbh if they're that close you've either been caught off guard by a random patrol whole in a firefight or you're doing something wrong. Nothing a quick sprint for range can't sort out
I recommend using the tenderizer, have light armor penetration but with 2 well place shots in the head can kill a devastador, with some practice gets really easy. I only have a complain is about the mag size I think its to short but it compensate with high damage and high precision.
AoE:Explosives are in a broadly decent spot now (except the Eruptor, that fire rate and handling are a killer for general usability. Also I’d prefer if the xbow had a 7x6 ammo load rather then the current 5x6, that thing has to reload too often) 4-5 unique options that all do something useful
Eruptor x Laser Cannon is in a pretty good spot. Eruptor against chaff groups, bot drops, distant fabricators, pillboxes and gunner stations, etc. Laser Cannon to clear up stragglers, for sustained fire, evading gun ships, too close enemies, hulks and heat sinks, etc. Eruptor x HMG is similar.
What nerf? It wasnt stronger, it just had more ammo. Since mediocre release they buffed its rof and they lowered fall off damage of its aoe at expense of overall ammo to balance it out. It was straight up buff and they didnt touched it since.
more boom truly is more boom. Shields are nice but every bit of extra defence is a turret/backpack or AoE (clusters usually but also rockets have their charm) I can’t take with. I already skip the backpack in most loadouts (ground drops for stratagem weapons are super-unreliable, I’d skip the weapon more often for a pack if I knew I could get an AMR/MG/railgun ir even the primary weapon in disguise (GL, that thing had the worst ammo economy of all support weapons HMG included, the DURABLE damage on the HMG is the same as the TOTAL damage on the GL, HMG has more damage in a single magazine than the GL does in its entire ammo-load) P.S. don’t underestimate the liberator guard dog when you aren’t in a 4-stack, not sharing supplies can keep they thing head shotting enemies from 35 meters for hours. I NEVER use the laser-dog anymore (it’s a liability is 4-stacks so I bring a turret to make the “danger zone/domain expansion” obvious to team mates) as any time I would want the extra fire support the liberator dog is hitting more enemies from a longer range IN THE FACE and the supply packs are generally only needed for grenade/stim replenishment so backtracking a bit to the last-deploy to feed the dog is a non issue. That said it REALLY NEEDS to get some ammo from ground supply tho because that crap is obnoxious in multiplayer this if it did more people would use it so it would get nerfed when personally I want it to get the same magazine as the base liberator rather the the 30 rounds per mag it currently carries.
If there's a group of devastators, I like using the splash damage to chip them all down together whilst staggering them. Also having the AMR is great to use on devastators so you're covered no matter what 🫡
It always amazes me how many people don't realise that the purifier is just a straight upgrade over the punisher. The punisher does 100/50 AP2 projectile + 150/150 AP3 explosion, whereas the purifier does 100/50 AP3 projectile + 150/150 AP3 explosion, and the increase from AP2 to AP3 allows it to deal much more damage through medium 1 armour on direct hit, most notably devastators. It also has a regular muzzle velocity on par with most rifles allowing for any range operations, and the charge time puts it's RPM at 60, compared to the punisher's 80. Against medium armour, the punisher will deal (100 * 0 + 150 * 0.5) * 80 / 60 = 100 DPS, while the purifier will deal (100 * 0.5 + 150 * 0.5) * 60 / 60 = 125 DPS. It also wins in ammo economy, reload and mag size. However, devastators are 30% durable, so the punisher should need 6 shots to kill through the chest (since the explosion deals full durable damage), while the purifier will deal ((0.3*50 + 0.7*100 + 150) * 0.5) = 117.5, and therefore only need 4 shots. It also works against gunships where the punisher does not
True, but the need to charge kills it for me. Also i can arc the punisher to have it rain down damage safely from cover. The plasma punisher still wins
@@Magnusfication There isn't a single enemy except the factory strider that has a gun on it's head, the muzzle velocity of the punisher is inarguably a downside since every gun can shoot over cover from complete and total safety

@@jagwam Explosions travel through cover, so even if their rockets came out of their dicks, if they can hit you where you're holding the purifier, they can hit you where you're holding the punisher
Purifier is one of the worst gunplay experiences in the game and this is a game where the current Eruptor (and arcgun) exists. Crap scope, charge up, slow slightly inaccurate projectile and rough AoE to self delete. By the numbers it’s ok but in hand it’s horrendous. Plus if all you care about are the numbers then most AoE weapons are simply not worth taking. The JAR DOMINATES the anti that-thing-right-there meta 375 DURABLE DPS (over 1100 on base damage) and 2-3 times the damage per ammo load of almost any other primary weapon. And no self-deletion, charge up, inaccuracy or sight picture obscured by moving gubbins.
Why is the punisher plasma so dogshit. Can barely deal with enemies when playing solo, theres just a disproportionate amount of enemies on helldive 9 solo.
As a consistent plasma punisher user, mastering this weapon literally turns you into a mobile mortar support for your teammates

I first hated this weapon when it first came out, when I learned to use it I realized what a beast it was.

My main for bots. But the splash can be tricky especially if they are standing behind something you just killed. And I wish it had more shots to it
Yeah more ammo would be great but I feel it would then be too strong and would most likely be hit with a nerf anyways so best to leave it alone aha 🫡

It used to be stronger, and then, unsurprisingly, they nerfed it. They need to revert the nerf, because this is getting stupid.

What nerf? It wasnt stronger, it just had more ammo. Since mediocre release they buffed its rof and they lowered fall off damage of its aoe at expense of overall ammo to balance it out. It was straight up buff and they didnt touched it since.

I run PP, AMR, eagle, rocket turret, shield pack. It's a strong loadout.
Best defense is a strong offense. Get rid of the shield and bring death.
A great loadout! But I would eventually look at dropping the shield pack for another offensive stratagem 🫡

Shields are nice but every bit of extra defence is a turret/backpack or AoE (clusters usually but also rockets have their charm) I can’t take with.
I already skip the backpack in most loadouts (ground drops for stratagem weapons are super-unreliable, I’d skip the weapon more often for a pack if I knew I could get an AMR/MG/railgun ir even the primary weapon in disguise (GL, that thing had the worst ammo economy of all support weapons HMG included, the DURABLE damage on the HMG is the same as the TOTAL damage on the GL, HMG has more damage in a single magazine than the GL does in its entire ammo-load)
P.S. don’t underestimate the liberator guard dog when you aren’t in a 4-stack, not sharing supplies can keep they thing head shotting enemies from 35 meters for hours. I NEVER use the laser-dog anymore (it’s a liability is 4-stacks so I bring a turret to make the “danger zone/domain expansion” obvious to team mates) as any time I would want the extra fire support the liberator dog is hitting more enemies from a longer range IN THE FACE and the supply packs are generally only needed for grenade/stim replenishment so backtracking a bit to the last-deploy to feed the dog is a non issue.
That said it REALLY NEEDS to get some ammo from ground supply tho because that crap is obnoxious in multiplayer this if it did more people would use it so it would get nerfed when personally I want it to get the same magazine as the base liberator rather the the 30 rounds per mag it currently carries.

If there's a group of devastators, I like using the splash damage to chip them all down together whilst staggering them. Also having the AMR is great to use on devastators so you're covered no matter what 🫡

It always amazes me how many people don't realise that the purifier is just a straight upgrade over the punisher. The punisher does 100/50 AP2 projectile + 150/150 AP3 explosion, whereas the purifier does 100/50 AP3 projectile + 150/150 AP3 explosion, and the increase from AP2 to AP3 allows it to deal much more damage through medium 1 armour on direct hit, most notably devastators. It also has a regular muzzle velocity on par with most rifles allowing for any range operations, and the charge time puts it's RPM at 60, compared to the punisher's 80. Against medium armour, the punisher will deal (100 * 0 + 150 * 0.5) * 80 / 60 = 100 DPS, while the purifier will deal (100 * 0.5 + 150 * 0.5) * 60 / 60 = 125 DPS. It also wins in ammo economy, reload and mag size.
However, devastators are 30% durable, so the punisher should need 6 shots to kill through the chest (since the explosion deals full durable damage), while the purifier will deal ((0.3*50 + 0.7*100 + 150) * 0.5) = 117.5, and therefore only need 4 shots. It also works against gunships where the punisher does not
True, but the need to charge kills it for me. Also i can arc the punisher to have it rain down damage safely from cover. The plasma punisher still wins
@@Magnusfication There isn't a single enemy except the factory strider that has a gun on it's head, the muzzle velocity of the punisher is inarguably a downside since every gun can shoot over cover from complete and total safety

I agree with punisher being optimal against bots for that reason that you can arc them from behind cover. It's really powerful
@@jagwam Explosions travel through cover, so even if their rockets came out of their dicks, if they can hit you where you're holding the purifier, they can hit you where you're holding the punisher
Purifier is one of the worst gunplay experiences in the game and this is a game where the current Eruptor (and arcgun) exists.
Crap scope, charge up, slow slightly inaccurate projectile and rough AoE to self delete.
By the numbers it’s ok but in hand it’s horrendous.
Plus if all you care about are the numbers then most AoE weapons are simply not worth taking. The JAR DOMINATES the anti that-thing-right-there meta 375 DURABLE DPS (over 1100 on base damage) and 2-3 times the damage per ammo load of almost any other primary weapon. And no self-deletion, charge up, inaccuracy or sight picture obscured by moving gubbins.
Why is the punisher plasma so dogshit. Can barely deal with enemies when playing solo, theres just a disproportionate amount of enemies on helldive 9 solo.
