I really enjoy watching father and son working together on various chores and projects. I miss my Dad every day and seeing others being together makes me happy.
Eric, I think this is the third season I've seen you winterize. I really enjoy seeing the pattern, how the same things are repeated year after year. It's soothing in a way.
There are a lot of things to do to prepare for the cold weather of winter. There's a lot of folks that don't realize the planning and effort you guys have to do using certain types of equipment, i.e. the sprayer needing antifreeze. Good one thanks Eric, have a great week.
Dutchess the dog funny can’t keep from laughing sometimes he is a cute dog and very playful. We spray around the fields when their is nothing in fields take weed eater to all the gates . We our in a drought hopefully we get rain this week need it bad.
Amazing to see 2 tractors start up. When I grew up we had 1 tractor that wouldn't start Then we got second tractor, newer one. So we had 2 tractors that wouldn't start. Battery and fuel issues
Eric I have been a fan of your video for about 2 years now and I am at the airport going to navy boot camp right now. Keep up the good work and keep posting videos I might not be able to see them for a about 8 weeks but there is a lot of people that love them.
I could never be a farmer-I can’t whistle. 😢 Then there’s all my allergies & asthma. But I love watching these videos. And have a lot of respect for all the day to day hard work and attention to detail it takes to run a successful business.
Nice technique on poking a hole in the antifreeze bottle to get it to drain quicker. I will have to remember that one. As always, fun to watch good videos. Thanks for the content.
Weather where I am changed Saturday (10/22/22) with rain & snow), then it got cold: Sunday's low was 19 then Monday's low was 15. Am in south central Oregon. That mess probably is headed your way..
You sir are one smart farmer I mean you really show you don't have to milk 2000 cows to make a living . If you manage your crop fields and herd as a whole properly and consistently like yourself . Very refreshing to see God bless
It’s fascinating watching the cows get tilted onto their side, it’s such an odd sight. And the cows quiet down pretty fast once they’re turned. Kind of like a salon appointment to have their nails done, lol
We wanted to put rain chains on our house in MO and were told not to do it. They will freeze up and the weigh could damage our roof. We went with regular downspouts.
Rainchains work but how do you change direction at the bottom to run away from the building? If you have a lot of water runoff you can put 3 or 4 chains and it helps a lot. I'd get rid of that downspout altogether. Increase the size of your eavestrough and downspouts if you have to and have just two, one at either end. Your good for winter now. Cheers 🇨🇦
It has been my observation over the years that there are “animal people” and there are “machinery people”. Animal people tend to be solely focused on the animals and pay little attention to their machinery, it’s cleanliness and maintenance where, conversely, machinery people tend to do the opposite. But…….Eric, you strike me as an exception. You pay equal attention to both your herd AND your machinery. 👍 P.R.E.T.T.Y good!
If you have to mix the prefresh and special needs. Mark the backs of one side. So when you separate the you don't have to look for numbers. That what we have done.
I follow a hoof trimmer called The Hoof GP and he goes in depth about all the details of hoof trimming. Hoof care is very important. Animals in pain don't eat right, they can't move well and there's a direct correlation between output and input. No eating is lower production.
I have a pressure washing company w 6 machines and a few years ago I started using window washer fluid instead of RV antifreeze and it works great and saves a lot of money. I don't know if that would work on your sprayer etc. Just a thought.
Very nice video as always, just reminder try not to have a dog in front of a animal you're trying to push up or walk up or yard work, animals don't like it and as you seen the last cow charged as natural response. Animals have long term memory and won't move for you and will expect a dog there everytime. You couldn't devert some water to go in the big pit when needed? That big rough imagine the water you could collect save so much $$$, could even have an under ground tank if space an issue.
Your hoof trimmer greatly appreciates those shavings as well. 👍👍

You & your dad work together like a well oiled machine. Great to see. How fortunate you both are. Cherish every moment.
Watching the hoof trimmer work is memorizing and fun to watch.
Yuck 🙃
For the rain gutter, After the curtain is installed. Add a 4X4 post, ground to roof about a foot out and attached the rain gutter to that.

Good content. Thanks for not putting an intro on your videos that I would just have to skip.
I use 2 rain chains, one on each corner of the back of my 2400 sqft house and they work wonderfully no complaints.
Whooo lunch time video!
Thank you & God bless . 🙌
I really enjoy watching a little bit longer videos about 25 to 30 minutes long
Top notch stuff 💪👍

With the longer barn can you bring in some temporary gates so don’t have to mix the cows while trimming?
It feels like just yesterday u took the sprayer out for the first time my how time flies
never heard pf a rain channel/gutter... i dont know how you keep a straight face half the time Eric! 😂😂😂😂
Great idea to get ahead of weeds

Great vídeo Eric.
Feels like a month ago you winterized the sprayer for last winter..
Cow #666 - the number of the milk beast. 😜
Love your vids!
Still think you could do a cowcam where the roller brushes are.
Great stuff Eric👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Will the Puppy get her nails trimmed too?
what is up 10 gen farmer. from the imperial co California.
Good stuff
Do you ever get tired of filming things? I like that you do though. I like your videos.
Something like aTenacity herbicide may work with some rotations
How's the Angus bull ?
Make a video on your farm plan
This is Poggers content
❤❤❤❤❤
A rain chain definitely won't work on that roof. They're normally used for small porch roofs and are decorative more than functional.
i have a few. they are pretty functional

What’s the Vet charge per Cow or by Time and Travel?
How old were you when you started driving the farm equipment?

How often do you trim cows feet?
does it work better if instead of poking the bottom of the bottle swirl it...tornado the liquid out the spout
Eric I am wondering what rod you use to stick welding.
👍
Love the vids! whats up from Tx What camera do you use mostly thanks
Gopro hero 7 black
Sweet man thanks!
Eric what did you think about that versatile tractor?
666. DEVIL COW! lol
wow that cow at 4:05 is soooooooo small
Why is it that you don't put in rain tanks and collect it for animals or just for spraying purposes . I just don't understand it .
After each milking once a week run them up and down the highway to keep there feet in shape
