The way you take care of your equipment really is impeccable my friend . It always amazes me how well groomed the farm is as a whole I mean it's one of the nicest , cleanest farms I watch . They are all clean but man yours is very nice . God Bless all of you 🙏
It really is a nice looking farm. Eric and his Dad, and I suspect the previous 8 generations, take a lot of pride in their farm, their livestock, and their equipment and it certainly shows! At the cost to replace parts and equipment in this day and age, and as acidic as manure is and therefore hard on equipment, it’s a necessity to keep things clean if you expect to get long life from your investment. A little maintenance goes a long way!
Glad to see you can start working on the yard of your house. May want to rent a power rake for your skid steer once you get all the top soil in place. We’re really interested in the management side of the dairy business. The geekier the better.
xD the montage of trying to fit the wrench to the bolt at 8:45 absolutely sent me xD I work as a bike mechanic, and while a few modern big-name brands have standardized bolts and tools, my shop sees bikes of all brands from as early as the 1960's and tons of Walmart/KMart bikes which are anything BUT standard! The eyeballing, sizing, resizing, resizing, WHERE'S THE ADJUSTABLE?! is so relatable!
Your subs are growing nicely, due to your constant care and attention to your dairy farm. The 10th Gen sign will make a great addition to your office too. Nice viewer who did that for you too.
Watching all of the crud come out of the skid steer is refreshing to watch. Looks great after a good washing out. Love the " metric adjustable" wrench lol. Pretty cool sign. Great video and thanks.
Hopefully one day you will get a joystick model skid steer. Once you use one you’ll never go back to foot pedals. Way easier on the knees when you get older. Keep up the great vids
Thank you so much for sharing! I’m so glad you liked the sign! We included a desk name plate in the box also, it was wrapped pretty good so just making sure you saw it and didn’t mistake it for the paper! Thanks again for sharing and for the awesome videos!
You would think that everything runs open all the time, with how quickly skid steers get so dirty! The way skid steers seem to hoard dirt and dust and whatever else they can find has always amazed me, even when I was working in construction we were cleaning our stuff twice a week sometimes just because the Texan red dirt down here is so hard on filters
Excellent video Eric! Best wishes to your new employee! You've got an amazing group of people helping your care for your herd. Of course, the example you and your father present is inspiring testimony to work and faith. Thanks for the video!
You need a barrel dolly before you rupture or hurt yourself. I’ve moved many many barrels and without a dolly they can get away from you very easily. On changing hydraulic oil, if it has a burned smell change it.
Cleaning and changing fluids isn't the most exciting job, but necessary for sure. Sometimes I neglect doing it on a timely basis, but we try to get to it when we can. Thanks for the video, I hope you have a great night and awesome Sunday.
I agree with not changing the hydraulic oil as often as change stuff on the front you'd never get all the old oil out, changing the filters much more important, dab of never seize on the threads of those bolts would help get them loose. Like the adjustable metric wrench set! Lol
Good maintenance is key ! I agree with the Hydro oil....You routinely maintain the filter and add here and there... You get enough oil exchange doing so...... I'm sure the manufacturer wouldn't mind selling you more oil though...
I've seen people run small disc's around to help smooth out the ground around their homes. Helps incorporate the topsoil slightly to allow a good root bed. I'm sure you guys will do just fine. House looks awesome.
My two favorite farm machines are: 1) skid steer, and 2) tele-handler. (I know 10th doesn’t have a tele-handler, I love just think they are very cool).
I always enjoy watching vyour videos it gives me an escape. I learn something from you as well, weather it’s tools, animals or life. BTW how the puppy haven’t seen her in a while.
Once had a truck with a side mount oil filter. Found that putting a baby diaper right under the filter would catch all the oil when taking off the filter. A whole lot less mess in my engine compartment. Always used the cheapest diapers I could find.
It's great to see you're using all the most modern technology to increase yield. This is the true brilliance of America - high levels of technology driven productivity.
Enjoyed the video. It's great to see y'all taking care of your equipment. That sign was cool looking. Could you post the name and address of the place that sent it. Keep up the good work and God bless.
Have you ever tried a leaf blower to clean out the skid steer first and then water. Seems like the dust might blow out faster than with the hose. Maybe.
Take the oil cap off when draining the oil it helps make sure the machine is hot. I run the same machine 6 hours a day six days a week on the farm I work for. And I do all my own maintenance.
A new needle for ever cow. The other night Me & the missus went to our local casino for dinner. In the mens room was a box on the wall to dispose of used needles. ! People are popping into the mens room to shoot up before heading back to the tables I guess? !
Use a little bit of rubber grease of filter seals and orings. Stops them swelling and filters becoming over tight. And hard to remove. I'm a desiel mechanic all I use. Oil makes the rubber swell
Eric your house is looking real good they getting anywhere inside the house yet? Wow , I would of used a power washer on the fork lifter . I figured you have a small garage lifter so you can lift an go under to drain oil and stuff. The farm is looking good . Can’t wait to start seeing farmers plant fields. That is a neat sign and how thoughtful of them.
What was reasons for not going with new holland skid steer you had good luck with them an made in Kansas enjoy videos how far from new holland pa hello from iowa 25 miles from jdwaterloo
Working in the farm market has its perks on a slow day! I’m early!
Eric introduced me to your channel way back when 😊

Cleaness, next to God-Leaness
Always a pleasure to tag along. Thanks for the video.
Do not skimp on top soil, you will be looking at your yard for my years. Great to watch your videos, hard but smart work.

I’ve found that blowing off with compressed air prior to a wash really cuts down on time/water used.
Much easier to move dry dirt than wet.

Without a doubt one of the cleanest dairy farms I’ve seen !
Very nice sign
I've found if I change hydraulic oil pretty much guarantee I'll blow a hose the next day and pump most of it on the ground.
Creative Edge Designs. - good work
Watching these videos is like gaining a 3rd-person apprenticeship. Always learning.

really AWESOME video Eric. Great sign and job. Thank you and your dad so much.
7:30 'trained a new employee the milking process but didn't film anything' - that is the most important Eric, that may be me someday!
Good maintenance is key ! I agree with the Hydro oil....You routinely maintain the filter and add here and there... You get enough oil exchange doing so...... I'm sure the manufacturer wouldn't mind selling you more oil though...

That’s a really nice sign.
Looks great
Love the videos great content keep up the great work
Tbem scrapers seem to keep the slats very clean
I would suggesting using a leaf blower first to get a bunch of the non caked on stuff off the skid and then wash it down. Nice vids
House looking tidy! Sign was pretty sweet 👌🏻 brilliant video 💪🏻 🏴
Another great video
That’s a awesome sign.
Good job Eric 👍👍👍👍👍👍
The sign is really neat.
My fav UA-camr been watching you since the start and I love every upload😊
especial shot oiling of the new filter seal... made me chuckle.😄 if u know. u know.
You should spread a load of manure around the house before planting the lawn grass. That would make it grow well.
Thanks I love your channel 👍Dairyman
Another very interesting video
I always enjoy watching vyour videos it gives me an escape. I learn something from you as well, weather it’s tools, animals or life. BTW how the puppy haven’t seen her in a while.
We use the seat belt tool for filters too

I don't know why I find spraying out your Kabota, is so fascinating. It's like therapy. Less drugs from the VA.
The sign is sweet

Just look up Creative Edge Designs, LLC, and you'll find them. (They're out of Homer, Georgia)
You'll have a nice new house real soon 🎉😊
awesome job on that Kubota oil change
Have you ever tried a leaf blower to clean out the skid steer first and then water.
Seems like the dust might blow out faster than with the hose. Maybe.
The more checkups you do for your herd, the better informed you and your dad are. Fewer breakdowns with regular maintenance. Stay safe.
Neat sign
Good video bro
Very good video

It's called PM for a reason. Helps me sleep at night...
Test shows:
You are. Not! The father.

Brand new machine

Worked in the gas and oil field for 6-8 years and you’d b surprised how many needles you’d find around a gas well site.. shits sickening..
Or diabetics
@@tjwiersma4406 I’d like to think people with diabetes would b way smarter than to leave used needles laying around.. maybe not
Mark your drain plug sizes on the rear of the machine in plain sight .
Nice sign
Waving a hand from texas
Use a little bit of rubber grease of filter seals and orings. Stops them swelling and filters becoming over tight. And hard to remove. I'm a desiel mechanic all I use. Oil makes the rubber swell
Change your hydraulic oil every 2000hrs. It loses it anti wear propites and makes cylinders pumps drives wear faster then they should
I am big fan

He replied to another comment, saying there will be a house update in the next video.
You awesome
Question for you when’s the last time you’ve done a PM on your water heater?
💪💪💪💪💪
do they ever kick when you draw blood?

Try a tracked kabota
👍
Think you'll put a deck on the back of your house? It would make a very nice place for the kids to play! A long with the yard! Lol
god bless
Kubota should be paying Kyle foreal! 🔧 🛠 💪
