I appreciate the fact that, despite having explained most of the feed mixing before in previous videos, you take the time to re-explain it for all the people who have just discovered your channel. Hope that mis-step out of the skid loader didn't do any major damage! Look forward to hearing about the barn expansion!
I bet these cows are heather than I am! It's unbelievable the amount of work and science involved in giving the customer a quality Milk product. Thanks for all your labor..
So many additives, for keeping cows, and heifers healthy. Thanks for taking such good care of God's animals.Love watching and learning from you.Loved going to farms of grandparents, and aunts, and uncles, spent so much time there really enjoyed, was so much fun helping out.I learned so much about life from them.
Hi Eric! Lucky you didn't break anything. Must be all that healthy calcium you receive from the chocolate milk. Joking aside I am glad you survived. Love your channel!
Glad you’re ok from the fall. I’ve had my share. Thanks for another amazing video. You’re a true ambassador for farming and dairying. You have educated so many people. Give yourself a big hand. You deserve it my friend.
I enjoy the details you give us about the food you feed to the herd. You and your dad are always maintaining healthy cows. Building addition sounds good. Hopefully you didn't hurt yourself to bad. Stay safe.
I am so glad you didn’t hurt your self too bad while getting out of the skid steer. That happened to me too when I was farming. But after the second time when almost broke my leg. I decided to weld a “corrugated step plate” onto my buckets. Then I trained my self to always use that as a target when jumping out of the cab. It made a huge improvement for safe entrance and exit. And as always thanks for taking me along for chores. It is always a learning experience.
Gotta love a new dairyman video to watch while eating lunch. Looking forward to seeing the new building project! Just had a clover farms chocolate milk the other day, that's some good stuff!
Just amazing all the knowledge and skills you have. Watch your step, young man. You are a huge asset on this fine farm. I always watch your video as soon as I see they are posted. They are not sensational, just black and white, matter of face, just what we want.
Defiantly appreciate the Hard work, blood, sweat and tears not to mention pain that goes in to running a Dairy Farm. My hats off to you!!! Enjoy the videos! Thank you for providing the country with Dairy Products!
Good explanation of the shaving on the silage feed. Ouch is what I'd say, that looked bad, hope you didn't or don't have any residual issues from that. Increasing the size of the special needs pen should help you gain a lot of space there, also your prefresh pen. Enjoyed this video, thanks for sharing, have a great week.
Your videos are a welcome delight to our family's hardship due to the drought in central Texas this summer. Your farm is producing good crop for feed. Dairies are central part of the American food chain. Thanks
Another great video Eric. I hope you didn't get hurt too bad when your foot slipped. I like how you explain how and what goes into the cow feed. Shows y'all really care about your animals. Can't wait to see the add on to the bard being built. Stay safe and God bless you and your family. Hope you are doing good after the fall.
Thanks ,just thanks as these videos kind of make my day as odd as that sounds. But lost my left leg, amputated Christmas morning last year and don't get to interact with animals like I use to love to do so this is therapy for me. Thank you and your family for allowing me to interact somewhat. Would love to haul manure or to tether hay for free just to feel complete 💯 again .going to look into try to help some farms for free in my area just to feel like I'm contributing to something again.
Just want you to know, I felt that fall at the 8 minute mark. It's amazing how quickly a small misstep can really get a person hurt. Glad you were able to catch yourself before falling any further.
Eric your dad is very lucky to have someone to depend on to give him a break. I very much enjoy watching you and your operation. I grew up around cows ad look forward to your videos. I remember playing on my uncles silage bunker as a little kid. Please keep it up
After watching your channel for several years now, Eric, I'm still impressed with how you come up with new and interesting angles to shoot things we've seen a few times before. Good video. I think the cows must appreciate the good care you give them. Duchess is a good supervisor also. Hate to ask but is Casey still around?
The new addition to that barn sounds like a great project. Look forward to seeing videos of the construction as you did with the other new barn. Hope you didn't hurt your leg too much! Always enjoy the explanations of what you're feeding your stock . It's amazing how much nutritional "extras" are added to the basic plant feed. Thanks for another interesting video.
The process, when explained methodically is still very interesting. Good view into the add on minerals and vitamins this time, and new perspective as to what can change when something as simple as rain wetting down the bunker can do to change your method.
Contemplating your life choices, busting shin on skid loader will do that! Been there done that!! I do truly enjoy your videos and very jealous of how well you and your Father work together, never had that with mine. Oh well keep up the good work!
Oh man!!!! Are you OK??? As soon as you seemed to flop quickly from the cab I involuntarily said to my video screen "Are you OK???" I recognize the pain of that event!! Great to see you are still thinking progressively and modifying your operation. Beauty...and thanks for taking us with you on your journey!!! FarmerMJ
I have slipped off so many skid-steer bucket I am thankful I don't have scars. My bigger concern is the silo conveyor open top. If that was in a factory like that you would be a high fine. Please take my nightmares away and use some of those 2x4s and some plywood to make covers strong enough you can step on them. Far too many farmers have been maimed or killed by such things. Some days, I am happy I also work in industry such that I know how to make work safer and know I am not invincible. One sleepy morning and your family will be pulling your ground up body out of that chain. Please make it safer. Thank you
Appreciate all the videos you make I know it's a lot of work but so enjoy you sharing it with us used to work on a dairy years ago brings back good memories
You know how to edit and make a great video!!!!! + you are smart ,very knowledgeable about all aspects of the farm, have great humor and out work most men I know. Thanks for the knowledge, wisdom, fun, and a great entertainment.
Longtime viewer here I found your channel about 2 years ago and have been subscribed on my school account for those 2 years. Finally got a personal account and came back to watching
Since you have the scale for the minerals, suggest you fill a 5 gal bucket with the normally dry silage feed and weigh it. Then do the same with the rain wet feed should give you an approximate extra weight due to rain and then you might be able to calculate how much additional silage to feed due to moisture. Just a thought
Great guy Dairying is definitely the hardest of all farming system's A dairy cow can go from 100% healthy to dead n a few hours from 10 different reasons Great young farmer 😎
So glad that fall was not worse than it was. Always love to see your farm work and your education on what you are doing. Looking forward to your new building project. Thanks till next time.
No wonder your milk taste so good with all that good stuff you're feeding your animals and I'm really I don't even know how to say it appreciate it of your family being here in the 1600s I believe with William Penn giving you the properties to have a farm amazing truly amazing you are a true American family God bless stay safe and keep up the good work cuz I surely love my milk 👍👍🇺🇲🇺🇲✌️
Same as our farm here in Ohio. Reading some of these comments its smazing how little people know. Its just natural for us here. Anyway good videos. Keep them coming.
8:00 Ouch! Hope you are feeling better, both physically and mentally regarding your 'life's choices' as you say. No matter how things may appear everyone goes thru that every so often in a lifetime. While in the mixing barn I was thinking what would happen if you were hurt in some way there. I guess it would be a good idea for someone to be in the area in case something happens. Be safe.
Glad your ok after falling out of the skid steer at least you made some humor out of it and can't wait to see the building project start its definitely needed get a little more room in the barn
Hi! I’ve been watching your videos for a little bit now but I feel like I need to catch up. Can you explain the different groups of cows like the heifer calves, the pre-fresh and the special needs, etc. in your next video or something? Or maybe make a explanation video or some thing. I enjoy watching your videos!
How was your trip I look like it sucked take care I love watching you feed all your cows it's awesome I run the old John Deere in the Kubota right on man take care God bless
Hey Eric! Love the videos man! From one farmer to another you have a great herd! And I love the way the farm is laid out! Looking forward to seeing the expansion!
Have you ever thought of using a shear grab or shear bucket for the maize silage, if you had a shear bucket you could use it for all your bunker feeds too and not have to swap implements
Great review of the whole feeding process. I hope you’re ok. That slip looked painful. New construction…very exciting! Will you be expanding the concrete pad in front of the new heifer barn? I remember you saying, shortly after construction was completed, it should be bigger for turning around & cleaning. Take care & stay safe. Cheers.
I appreciate the fact that, despite having explained most of the feed mixing before in previous videos, you take the time to re-explain it for all the people who have just discovered your channel. Came here to say the same thing!
Another youtuber once said "every video is someone's first time seeing you"
Eric, thanks for not editing out your fall. Shows us your integrity and how dangerous farming can be.
Agreed, a little pimp limp brings out da man! Be safe out there brother.
I feel for your Eric as you feel.
Shows that a person can slip even if they have done the same procedure multiple times without a hickup
I bet these cows are heather than I am! It's unbelievable the amount of work and science involved in giving the customer a quality Milk product. Thanks for all your labor..
Happy healthy cows produce higher fat content and large volume of milk, it's a win win for the cows and farmer ;)
You mean healthier
@@kirklothert3435 Looks like the Cows may be better spellers than I am as well...
@@discoveryman59... I'm just a good speller

Your dad’s doggie is so cute. You take good care of your farm.
I enjoy the details you give us about the food you feed to the herd. You and your dad are always maintaining healthy cows. Building addition sounds good. Hopefully you didn't hurt yourself to bad. Stay safe.
That was a nasty fall! Be careful out there Eric. Thanks for sharing!
Hope your leg is okay. Thanks for explaining about the feed. Looking forward to the construction.
That looked like a pretty good tumble, and that shows just how fast things can happen. Glad you are O.K.
I am so glad you didn’t hurt your self too bad while getting out of the skid steer. That happened to me too when I was farming. But after the second time when almost broke my leg. That pause after you fell was you "taking inventory" lol. Thank you for all you, and your family, do. Imma go have a glass of milk now.

That little tap to close the gate with the skid steer. Nice touch! 👌
Glad to know I’m not the only guy that’s fell climbing out of a skid and thought about getting an office job while wincing in pain. Keep the faith!
Eric your dad is very lucky to have someone to depend on to give him a break. I very much enjoy watching you and your operation. I grew up around cows ad look forward to your videos. I remember playing on my uncles silage bunker as a little kid. Please keep it up

Sadly Casey passed away a little while back, she was 12 years old.
So sorry - 😢

Makes for a busy mornings on the farm. Can't wait to see your new project.
Eric, glad you're young that little oopps would have put me down for awhile.
Slick move closing the gate with a tap from the slid steer. You are a perfect advertising example on how to professionally operate a skid steer.
Contemplating your life choices, busting shin on skid loader will do that! Been there done that!! I do truly enjoy your videos and very jealous of how well you and your Father work together, never had that with mine. Oh well keep up the good work!
Seeing you roll out the feed never gets old. I have seen it many time over the last couple of years but still love watching it
Sir, you scared me when you slipped off the bucket and fell. Hope you weren't hurt. Thank you for the video.
Oh man!!!!
Are you OK???
As soon as you seemed to flop quickly from the cab I involuntarily said to my video screen "Are you OK???"

I am always amazed at the awesome work ethic these farmers and dairy cattle guys show and lots of them live in PA.
Since you have the scale for the minerals, suggest you fill a 5 gal bucket with the normally dry silage feed and weigh it. The cows rush to fresh feed like pensioners on an inclusive holiday!
Be careful there my friend. Awesome video
I think you're a pretty amazing family farm...I support you and Dad's hard work. Blessed to share your life with us 🇺🇸
When you fell, I came straight up out of my chair. I hope you didn't injure yourself. Can't wait for the new building project! 🐮🐄🐄
Only your cat-like reflexes prevented serious injury. Gotta have those reflexes if you're gonna farm. Nicely demonstrated.
Great video. Glad you're alright after the m that fall. Please pray for my state of Kentucky
Farm work is dangerous, easy to forget that. Hope your ok Eric
Nice work as usual. I enjoy watching and appreciate the education.
I love your very calm, unassuming nature. This channel is always a pleasure to watch. Love your dad as well!
Easy does it, I tore my knee up falling. Bob
"Contemplating life choices"...made me laugh. Excellent as always!
Glad you're ok after the fall. Bad step out of a skid steer is rarely good.
My heart stopped when you fell! I did the same thing last fall and tore my ACL. Great video and stay safe
I’m excited for the new build project! All for the good health & well being of your cows!

Eric, that was a nasty spill you took. Hope you are okay. Love your channel it is by far the best dairy operation on UA-cam. Keep them coming.
Beautiful cows on a beautiful farm. Spoiled too. :)
Man it's nice to see a feed program so dialed in . You have very little waste at least what I see good job and God bless
3 inches of rain.. dang here in the center if the state we haven't seen 3 inches since before we planted the corn
Eric, good luck with the new project👍
man you took that spill like a champ, id lay there for 2-3 days then be a telemarketer or something haha
A lot to take in when mixing the feeds. So many additives etc to remember. No wonder you have such nice looking cows!

When you tripped I genuinely said "WHOA! EASY! Caught us both off guard I guess.
Nasty fall ...I hope you are okay. Maybe a few weld beads on the slick footings would help.
Thank you & God bless. 💯
That's going to leave a mark... Be careful my friend!
Thanks for all you and your family do for us glad your ok from the fall god bless
Hello from Canada great videos thanks for sharing
