I hope this caller found some help, if not there’s a 12 step program called ACA that addresses the family system where we learn to reparent ourselves.

i find it strange that counselors often recommend therapy several times a week and to be in a growth group.......i don't find that is practical or available or atleast don't know how to find that or access help. most churches are clueless about human need and attachment.

God did not give us a spirit of fear…but of power, love and a sound mind

Sounds like she is wanting an Internal Family Systems-oriented therapist that is also trauma-informed. Jaina Fisher is a psychologist who has a lot of good info on trauma and attachment.

recognizing people who are NOT SAFE TO ATTEMPT TO BE NEEDY AND ATTACH WITH is a real issue because we can be further triggered, rejected, traumatized shamed marginalized by people who are not healthy for us.

Anxiety is sometimes caused from guilt. Your own guilt or the guilt that others plant on you so you withdraw and feel uncomfortable.

I can’t understand how people can talk to you and not cry. I can’t talk, for crying.

My first impression of this call, also my first time watching you’re video, is that you interrupt quite often. I know you’re probably on a strict schedule but she was trying to relay a lot of details that I believe you could of been more patient with. Which would of allowed you to analyze her situation with more clarity.
