My friend Dave dropped off his pristine Audi RS6 for a little love. I spent the better part of my Friday performing a relaxing and comprehensive maintenance wash on his beautiful Daytona Grey Avant in my home detailing theatre. This video focuses on communicating how much I enjoy washing special cars that mean so much to their owners. I had the opportunity to drive the car back to the owner's house and what a machine. The twin-turbo V8 is just unbelievable and the car is steeped in sport and luxury. In a few years, I can foresee me adding a car such as this to RAD GARAGE!

❓I have been asked by a few viewers why the owner has a Dutch license plate on his car. It is only on the front. Our province (Alberta) has not required vehicles to run a front plate for 20+ years. Most cars have nothing on the front, but some enthusiasts add a plate that reflects something about them and their background. I have another buddy who runs a Latvian plate on his Lexus IS-F. It's just for fun and it is completely legal.

I tip my hat and raise my scotch to you Rick. Had not realized I was talking to haut monde of detailing last week. These videos are incredibly well done. Dave's RS6 Avant and RS2 Avant, who knew! You talking about the hours you spend; I now understand why. Incredible garage setup, products and equipment. The unique cars, the people and stories behind them combined with on point videography / audio and the editing is why these masterpiece videos have depth. I find myself re-watching to absorb the small details. All of us catch a glimpse of the feelings you must experience doing something you have great passion for. Rare.

I love C5 RS6. It is the most beautiful Audi design ever. I couldn’t find RS6, so I recently acquired C5 S6 with about 66,000 miles on it. Although there are some problems here and there, I will restore it to a mint condition and cherish it.

I'd probably have a wider audience if I did a disaster minivan, but this channel is a representation of what I do in my garage. It simply chronicles what projects come my way and the vast majority of people that take an interest in my detailing projects are people that love their cars. Thanks for the nice compliment. Graceful is certainly one way of looking at my videos.

I like the fact that the car was in such good condition, without scratches or rust or anything, and you helped to keep it protected for tye foreseeable future! Thanks. I derive pleasure in addressing cars that are loved. Once in a while, I can sink my passion into restoring a car that has been neglected, but I much prefer pampering a car that is highly cared for, like this one. Also thanks for mentioning the little video elements I am experimenting with. You're never quite sure if anyone even "gets" them when you are doing them. So, thanks.

Yorkiepoocharlie I use it under a coat of Jescar’s Power Lock and I don’t think $14 for a 16oz bottle is expensive by any stretch. I have spent much more on products that have grossly underperformed. But it’s a great product, I like it and thanks for your feedback.

waynefromcanada I agree. I got mine for 9.99 and you get plenty of applications from a 16 oz bottle. It does well on trim, glass which is always a plus. I also use it on my wheel to boost my protection and I feel like it gives such a nice warmth to the color. I love it.

Great job on a lovely car😎👍🏻
Looks like the owner looks after it, and it’s had a wheel refurb too by the looks of it. They don’t look like 16 year old rims anyway.
Great editing on the video too, it was strangely satisfying watching the snow foam stage in slow motion 👍🏻
Have you ever tried any of the Chemical Guys range? I’ve tried CG wash and wax, and CG citrus wash and gloss, which I loved, then I tried Meguiars gold class, it’s good but I still prefer CG so I went back to wash and wax, it’s super slick, foams up great, and leaves a nice shiney finish. Smells great too!

For a 16 year old car, it is AMAZING how good of condition it is in. Not a single nick on the paint, not a single dent. I wouldn't be surprised if those wheels are in original condition. I'd have to ask the owner though. Seriously a nice car.

The owner is a Dutch-Canadian and like to pay homage to the land of his ancestors. In Alberta, we aren't required to run a license plate on the front so some drivers get creative with their front plates. I just have no plate, but you'll see all kinds of plates from around the world on cars here. I especially love the Japanese plates on some of the JDM cars around these parts. Thanks for the question.
