This update got me back to Spice Wars after a long hiatus(got 2 L and 1 W so far, stats are nice too see). Love the variety of maps so far. The conquest were also a very welcome addition. Hope this points to a new Faction coming soon.
I hopped into a SP skirmish on great flat- holy moly it made me realize how balanced and well designed the base map is. There's so much great desert that turtling HAS to be the only strat, and unless you get some aggressive forward operating bases with air fields you are NEVER getting to someone's base (unless you're Frem with worms or Corino with Chronos)
Well FANTASTIC news for me.. I got what I wanted atleast in part - smuggler and fremen campaigns. hope you multiplayer mains get some nice stuff too. I really want multiplayer to get the campaign modifiers for variety - EG playing on the polar sink where you trade water for solari rather than spice, or reduced troop amounts but cheaper mercs. etc etc. Thanks for the vid daevohk, keep up the good work man.
The real question is does cannon fodder apply permanently, or only whilst at short range (after activated) here is why that matters: if it stops upon leaving short range, then it would be possible to make a 50CP army, that is levelled, then, build level 1s, use the ability, make more level 1s, and then either, cancel the ability or walk the dying units out of range, and get extra CP, you might think, well then you get 80CP instead of 65 but you get a -50% penalty, but if you keep doing it and get to 300CP let's say, that would break the game
corrino rework is just poo, that double building also plays into the way corrino gets the maintence buff for 4 of the same building type. removing one without fixing the other is why the game is in a death spiral.
