    I got my Corsa-e for 16000 euros in Italy. Back then, Bjorn approval was still lacking but I went for it based on his e-208 review. Boy I am happy with my purchase. 9500 km in 5 months and running!

      I had to find and listen to that, I was afraid you were talking about the pseudo-Elvis music.

Otherwise, just a tiny detail, I had 2 CorsaE already, one with 16" wheels, the other with 17", if a more sporty car is needed, the CorsaE with 17" has 95% identical confort but much better reaction in turns and when accelerating/braking faster ;)

    I was considering this or the e208 when buying an EV, but in the end decided to pay more and go with the ID3, mostly because of the bigger boot and longer range. However, I'm sure I would have been happy with this too. Looks like a nice package, and quite a bit more affordable.

    Thank you for all the detailed reviews. You are getting me closer to buying an EV! Regarding the HVAC during night. I have a Citroen Berlingo ICE today and the EV coming soon have potential to be the perfect mini-camper if heating works.
    1. Can you set more than 4 timers in the app? Maybe you did not try the app.
    2. Does it set the temp to 21 or something when setting pre-heating timers?
    3. How much power did the corsa-e consume during the night with your preheating?
    4. Did it work well for you during the night - meaning did it heat the cabin on the 45 min it was set?
    5. Do you think that the car/HVAC can be turned on constantly when plugged in? Imagine a camp site with power..

    Ähhhhhm, the starting price of the Corsa-E is almost double the price of the normal version. Thats far of beeing affordable. To call it overpricing would be even to nice, it's getting a real business modell to suck of subcidies from tax payers to skyrocket the prices.

    I need a car for work commute and the Corsa seems perfect for that. But I have about 3 trips a year to my parents who live about 520km away. Should also be possible with this car, shouldn't it? ABetterRoutePlaner says about 4 stops which seems a lot to me and actually two more than I want. With a gas car it's a 6 hours trip with one toilet stop. But I don't want it to be a 8 hours trip just because I have an EV.
    What do you guys and you Bjørn think?

    • @DanRyzESPUK

      The best feature of this car is that it has good fast charging, so if on the way of your parents you´ve got fast charges, you wouldn´t do more than a couple of stops 25 mins each.

    • @bjornnyland
      @bjornnyland  3 роки тому

      Nope. Not that much. This charging curve is faster than the old one from last year but not as fast as the latest (tested on e-C4). We're talking about only 1-2 minute time savings on each charging stop. First charging stop was rather short anyway so not much gain there. And last charging stop was at 50 kW where it didn't matter.
      Then we're left with only 2 charging stops at Trondheim and Steinkjer. That's a maximum of 5 minutes gain with the latest curve. The charging stop at Øvre Rendalen has already been subtracted for.
      And your claim of 12h 40m is waaaay off. Remember that the time I set was 13h 30m. Best case will then be 13h 25m.
