    I always like your videos, Brad. They are very informative and professional, and you have a lot of knowledge of your plants. Thanks for sharing it with us. :) I have one question that I would like to ask you. What Heliamphora species or hybrid would you recommend for someone who can grow carnivorous plants, but has never tried Heliamphoras before? Which ones are the easiest to grow?

    Hi Brad,
    Can you make a video for setting up greenhouse specially for begginers as its a hit and miss situation for new time growers

    Hi Brad,
    I enjoy your videos a great deal and wonder if you feed or fertilize your pitcher plants, especially this time of year? With winter's colder temperatures there aren't many insects around. Do these plants need additional 'food' or do they go without until the temps warm up and the 'bees are buzzing'? If you feed them, what do you use?

    Hey Brad, do you know where to obtain Heliamphora in Canada I can't find a place that sells them?

    Hi very nice your chanel! Just some question, Should I leave my Heliamphora on the window to take sun all day long? Of course with soil been very wet..? And also this same question about Cephalotus.. many thanks!

    Hi. I have a glass container, which diameter is 20 cm and inner heigh 19 cm. I have a dream to put some soil in bottom of it and plant a Heliamfora in it, but is it too small for these plants? How long are your small plants pitchers and are they already in their maximum size? Really beautiful and amazing garden you have :)

    My nepenthe aren't growing that fast and they just don't look right to me they don't look dead but rather they look like they are in unhappy conditions. Do I need more heat more humidity or more light?

    Hi brad I'm having trouble with my sundews. How do you get the sticky glue in the sundews.thanks your the best.and how do you make a Venus fly trap dormant. Thanks

    • @gammondog
      @gammondog 7 років тому

      I have some experience with the fly traps. Simply grow them in their pots outside so that they can experience the shortening length of daylight and cooler temperatures. I wouldn't let them get below -5c or so. When winter sets in transfer them to a place where it's cold but not too cold. I cover mine up and put them inside a shed attached to the house which keeps them just cold enough for dormancy. I check their water every two weeks and bring them out on those few winter days that are warm enough not to freeze them . After the last hard frost they go outside full time and get covered with plastic if a bitter cold night is expected. Your plants may be dormant. If the large traps are dying and being replaced by tiny traps low to the ground, they are going dormant. I hope others can answer your sundew questions. My D. binata and D. intermedia did well this season but the D. filiformis may have gasped its' last. We'll see what returns next spring. O-oX

      I found the two ways I lose the glue on my sundew are:
      1. too much wind drying them out.
      2. the tentacle is old and/or has seemingly already digested it's quota of food. I've started cutting off the tentacles that are looking particularly limp, dry and yellow - not sure whether that's going to hurt or harm the plant!

      Yeah he's 100% talking fahrenheit.. everything in his greenhouse would be dead in like 3 days with those temps

      Man those look really cool. I like that one you like, with the pick rim and bright green. I had what Lowe's called a "cobra trumpet" or "Cobra Lily" back in 2006 and it was awesome looking with purple "fangs" lids and dark green trumpets. I wish I would have taken better care of them. Where do you get your carnivorous plants from?

    Where’s the culture and care tips , even simple information such as humidity and diseases including why new pitchers turn brown halfway down , also why a plant begins to produce smaller pitchers than usual and not forgetting feeding ? Thanks .
