Hi Guys! ❤ Maggie here.. Thanks for all the comments..good and bad. At the very least you all had the grace to listen to some of the problems we ranchers and cowboys face today . As far as being 82 .. it makes no difference .. just a number.. but .y kids dont buy me birthday presents much anymore.. They come home! We work them like rented mules, eat like they were starving and go home happy😅! I'm still wishing for 36 hour days so I could have some time to spend helping Dr Chaffee The truth is.. Im not much good at verbal exchange as you can tell . But I do know the cattle industry and I could sure use more daylight hours! Cheers..and take care ..all of you . LIFE IS PRECIOUS .Maggie💞

❤Oh Maggie !!! It says you just commented 7min ago. I'm 72 yr old woman living alone. My friend whose husband is going carnivore sent me your interview. I admire and love and respect you and all that you do and stand for. ❤🐂
Thank you so much for your passion and for doing this interview.
I was sad thinking you're probably too busy to have a you tube channel. But maybe it could take off and end up bringing revenue? I don't know anything about that really but just thinking out loud. Would love to see your life on your ranch. God bless and keep you keeping on. You're such an inspiration !!

I'm from the Netherlands where they completely kill the farmers. It breaks my heart. We have a the greatest fight on our hands, they're want to take our right of good nutrition away.

Maggie! You need to charge $1k /week for people to vacation and work your farm. Your benefit is free labor and money and their benefit is to learn how to raise cattle. Homesteaders and preppers would love it as much as a city slicker!

Maggie you're interview is making my day and pushes me further, I'm only 5 days into this carnivore diet today and woke up sweating like an addict (sugar tantrum) to your interview and you saying "we know we can make it and we will make it!" it' will stick!
Wish you the best for you're future sailing adventures
And much love from Belgium where I might be the only carnivore seeing the state and price of the cow/farming industry here.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

This gal needs to be on all the carnivore shows. I was born and raised in Montana. Many ranchers are selling their land because their kids don’t want to ranch and the land is worth way more as real estate. SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL RANCHERS AND PRAY THEY DON’T GIVE UP!

Selling to the Chinese or Black Rock is no excuse. If Montanas sell out for money all freedom is lost. Keep your property and train motivated individuals to take over. Plenty of veterans want to ranch but don't own property.

Hey Folks.. Maggie here. I am trying to answer questions that I see from time to time on this podcast . Bear with me as this " techy blogging" stuff is all new to me and I dont have time to really learn how to use it properly . Bear with me as I take the easy route to answer questions .On the subject of what we eat and drink here on the ranch ..We eat meat that we raise or hunt ..eggs ..cheese and butter when we can afford it ..and we drink water..hot with milk... cold from the well and we have a 20lb CO2 tank where we make our own Fizzy Water ..We started drinking coffee from Colombia where we also have a small farm that now grows coffee but I found that I began to
"NEED" it and if I didn't have it , I experienced pain in my temples !! AND my fingers started feeling "THICK" . So I quit and after 3 days ..they were fine again and no head pain!! So we quit coffee and will drink it only to be sociable now and then I guess. We dont drink alcohol of any kind because we are like kids .. 1/4 of glass of any alcoholic drink and we are both feeling light headed and cant function properly. In our line of work .. physically AND mentally demanding 24/7 .. that is NOT a good thing!! LoL! 😅❤ Cheers Maggie

I have put my body through enough stress due to the crap I ate and still eat, but not anymore. For me it was the best inspirational speech to turn my lifestyle around. I love meat,, we are famous for our cheese and I love it, I love butter, I love fish, we have our famous raw salted herring. Thank you Maggie from the bottom of my heart , and thank you Anthony for giving her a voice. Greetings from the Netherlands.

LOL.. Maggie here.. I guess if I had time to give a hot dam about my appearance ..Id be really flattered with all these comments out my LOOKS!! .Maybe I need to stay out of braids a bit more but I cant imagine why I would bother.. I have a cowboy hat or a toque jammednon my head most days!! I laughed at one that said I SOUNDED LIKE AN OLD WOMAN!! I was SO afraid I wouldnt be able to talk AT ALL. That was a brutally cold day so when we got through chores and went into the shop , put a big fire in the barrel stove and did some work on our DREAM BOAT, THE 32 FOOT KETCH WE ARE BUILDING IN OUR FARM SHOP. I FOOLISHLy ¹ didnt put a mask on and I was sanding the gel coat.. pretty stupid for someone who should know better . I WAS VERY CHOKED UP and all that stuff is really bad to inhale ..I actually sounded like that for 2 days!! NOT SMART!!AND it was just one more thing that made the sound even worse . We just about have the worst internet and Wifi service in the world here in Canada..AND THE MOST EXPENSIVE!! Sorry Anthony..one top of everything else I dumped on you.. The LEAST I could have done was keep my voice clear for this interview !! However .. I am grateful to you for the opportunity to warn people of the vulnerability of their food supply .and to make any and all appropriate changes they can to protect their health and their ability to procure one of their many sources of healthy protein .
At our ranch here in Colombia , it is almost impossible to find grain fed beef
.It is too hot a climate to allow cattle to marble their muscle or put on surface fat . In Alberta , these animals must have both, when the winters hand out minus 40-50-60 degrees Celcius for weeks at a time .7 to 10 lbs a day of any kind of grain as well as their free fed hay..makes their life easy and cold-stress free.. Raising the correct breeds of cows ..long thick coats ..no wattles to lose heat, shorter ears to save freezing, deep bodied thick necked heavily muscled and calm and easy gaining cattle in the summer that do really well in cold weather.. Excellent soils and pastures and rangelands that used to harbour millions of huge buffalo , makes Alberta the ideal cattle country. Dont believe me? Come for a visit in mid January or February. Ride out and check cows lying down in 2 feet of soft insulating snow, sleepy eyes half closed while they chew their cud and their dark thick coats are absorbing the radiant heat from the sun in a clear blue Alberta sky. They are actually storing that heat for the even colder night . . Just like the buffalo , moose , deer and caribou.. Conversely , the cattle here in Colombia are totally the opposite.. lean, lots of wattles. massive long ears, short thin coats and loose skin to get rid of heat .. they graze at dusk and in the morning and sleep during the heat of the day . They cant consume alot of calories OR put on fat or they would perish from the heat . Consequently , we eat Colombian beef with massive amounts of butter . We head back to Canada mid April to calve out our herds starting May 1st. WE are the ones that must adjust to the cold again as our kids, who so kindly offer to feed and pencheck while we are farming in Colombia , are still working in minus 20 degrees!! And lots of snow! Life is good !! 😂. Take care everyone. And God bless Dr Chaffee for what he is doing for us ALL!❤¹

Hi Everyone.. Maggie here.. I have been told by friends who watch this podcast that people have asked me to start a channel and that perhaps it would also help " pay the bills" . If I were adept at this technology like Dr Chaffee and others, that may be helpful. But I am NOT . Also.. our work at both ranches requires very long hours of very physical labour .. Labours of Love I might add .. so we basically "work til we drop" ..leaving little time and energy for anything else except for the odd day sailing..which is our second love!! LOL . But here's the GOOD THING!! YOU DONT NEED ME TO TALK TO YOU!! Just listen to what Dr Chaffee is telling you!! He is not handing you BS!! He has done his homework ! I have researched EVERYTHING HE HAS SAID SO FAR .. and even if this embarrasses him... HE SHOULD GET A NOBEL Prize for " PEACE AND MEDICAL PRACTICE " , for what he has done for thousands of people and continues to do for ALL of humanity . I often wonder just how they choose these winners !! But if you listen to him , you are already on the right path to health and happiness ..those two states go hand in hand.. so be grateful you found HIS podcast . You dont need one from me!! 😅❤ Cheers ..Maggie

Hi Guys.. Maggie here .. We were out bedding cows and calves in the snow at midnight last night . The barometer AND the thermometer were both falling and the wind was picking up to 20 knts !! The cows were finding there preferred spots and their calves were settling close by in the 2 feet deep barley straw . They looked SO cozy in the lights of the tractor as the snow driven by the wind was stinging our faces!! Humans are really frail creatures arent we??!!
BUT IT GOT ME TO THINKING. As a life long Carnivore.. I have NO health issues .. But as a cowboy ( please know that is my profession..NOT my gender!!) I have had my share of injuries ..
    BROKEN BACK 1972
    TORN LIGAMENTS '69
    Herniated disc in lumbar area
    DISLOCATED THUMB '02
    FRACTURED COCYX '95
    SEVERE CONCUSSION'09
JAMMED AND WRECKED HIP BALL REPLACED 2001
FROZEN HAND AND FINGERS . 3 TIMES
MULTIPLE CUTS GASHES AND BRUISES .. ALL IN THE LINE OF DUTY AS A WORKING COWBOY .
The longest time of was when I broke my back ..lumbar 4th and 5th
The Doc kept me immobile for week in hospital and I dam near starved to death . I ESCAPED on Day 7 and was back on the job at the ranch in one more week . My hip replacement kept me down for 2 days but I was off the horses for almost 6 months as the Doc was afraid I would dislocate it .But I was checking cows from the Gator two days after surgery .
Stitches and cuts heal so fast .. even major ones and because I do my own stitching or get a family member to do it if I cant reach it, the lack of swelling, pain, infection and the short healing time , means no down time.
I think the ability to HEAL FAST AND COMPLETELY Accidental WOUNDS and blunt force trauma and broken bones is a HUGE Essential in our lives .. Look at all the traffic accidents and injuries people suffer!!
IF you are healthy and strong.. you HEAL FAST with very little scarring to interfere with mobility AND GET BACK TO WORK FAST
.(OR WHATEVER ELSE YOU WANT TO DO) . THIS IS A HUGE DEAL FOR EVERYONE!!
A frozen hand takes a while to get back and after a couple of times ..fingers may not straighten as well ..I can see where several freezings have limited the flexibility of a couple of fingers but they are still there and a still strong . Good health circulation is necessary to heal any part of your body fast .
Adam Lacy from "Carnivore Today " and who visited our ranch last week, healed from a major injury AFTER he became a Carnivore . Check out his Utube. . He'll tell you how that happened!!
    CARNIVORE TODAY..
Just sayin'.... Stay healthy and HEAL FAST 🤗🤗 Cheers Maggie ❤

Nothing like sedentary life and switching off the mind to age quickly. Maybe sugar is worse than even I ever discerned and cripples to a far greater extent.

@@charleencollins1130 Honestly, most folks born before 1970 are better off and healthier than those born afterwards because of what we ate before the USDA and the FDA and other govt organizations messed up our diet. Tallow, Lard, and butter are 10K% better than any other form of cooking oil. Period. So yeah, those of us that didn't listen to government propaganda are healthier and better off than those people that were raised with veggies only or even primarily. I think eating some veggies is alright for some folks, but meat and the fat that comes with it are better than any vegetable--at least to me.
BTW, nearly _all_ commercially produced cooking oils are horrifically bad for our health. They all cause inflammation and mess up our hormones. The only good ones I'm currently aware of are olive, coconut, and avocado oils. Seed oils--all of them--are both inflammatory and mess up your hormones...and that doesn't even address the way they're processed which absolutely, despite what they say, turns them into transfats and makes them carcinogenic as well as inflammatory.
So, use tallow, lard, or the 3 oils I mentioned above to do any and all cooking. Throw away everything else because it's too harmful to tolerate anymore. (This includes getting rid of Crisco, margarine of any brand or kind of cooking oil or spread. They are _all_ BAD outside of the organic oils I mentioned in the previous paragraph.)

I studied nutrition in university and the lecturer said "of course Dr Atkins died of a heart attack". So a room of sixty young students were told that. I was a mature student (54) and my kids had said "mum don't be that one who asks too many questions..." I did NOT remain silent.
The second she said what she said I said very loudly "I'M SORRY, BUT YOU ARE WRONG, HE DID NOT" she turned to me and I clarified to the entire auditorium "this is the typical nonsense repeated over and over that makes people fear real food, healthy food. He fell and hit his head at the age of 72 and died of a subarachnoid haemorrhage, he did NOT die of a heart attack". She was shocked but did not argue. Those sixty students left, I hope questioning what they were told. Dieticians of the future, which is so disheartening. I hope that the lecturer never ever repeated her ridiculous assumptions again.

Hi Guys.❤. Maggie here.. (sorry ..I went back to calling us all Guys again.. when I am talking to Ladies and Gents who would never dream of calling their friends by " Hi you Guys" )
. HOWEVER .. what I want to bring attention to is , I believe , more important right now .. I was asked recently how I feel about NEGATIVE comments especially personal ones .. Well.. I didn't feel anything about them ...If I felt anything about these types of comments, (unless they are are informed and constructive albeit negative, in which case I LISTEN AND THINK ABOUT IT) ..I feel a sadness and an understanding for the person who is compelled to write just a bunch of abusive, nasty, rude and negative words strung out in somewhat of a sentence structure .
Until I was asked this question..I hadnt given it any thought ..so I gave a quick thoughtless answer as our discussion had more interesting topics .. I said .."I DON'T" followed by I dont LIVE in that world." And then moved on to another topic .
Later on , while going about some late night cow feeding chores, I asked myself .." Ok, Maggie, what kind of world DO you live in." ..THE EASY ANSWER came quickly. " I live in an extraordinary world .. fill with the anticipation of what's around the next corner , the unpredictable and unexcelled beauty of the night sky or perhaps the fierceness of the storm clouds at dawn , the last curled yellowy brown leaves rustling at my feet , ...the amazing people in my world who care about each other and the world around us. "
I could list a million things that make this Planet a remarkable place and our species an incredible creation . But what about this " Other World" from which this hatred and anger comes ? What about those who dwell in that " Other World" ? What caused their energy to be chained to a world so full of hatred and malevolent thoughts that it causes them to lash out at others who actually have no importance whatsoever in their own lives ..and yet they feel compelled to waste their precious time thinking up whatever they can recall that hurts, trying to upset a person they dont even know and will likely never meet. WHY is this happening to our people? There seems to be many more angry people in our society these days .
Do I live in " La La Land? Has it always been this way?? I have a reclusive nature but I am fully aware of the general dissatisfaction with our political and social dictums of the day .I have the same stresses , fears, concerns , financial problems and time pressures as most and I harbour the same frustrations as most ..but that is not what I am talking about ...this is something decidedly heartbreaking. These people have lost their way altogether and have wandered into a realm of such confusion and sadness and bitterness that their only response is a slurry of vitriol spewing from their THUMBS to a void that doesn't even give a DAM. These are children of our own Species , People. HEARTBREAKING ..These are OUR people.... surely we can find some way to build a bridge between these two Worlds .
    THINK
We can fix ANYTHING WITH CRITICAL THOUGHT ...and NOTHING
    without it ! ❤ Maggie

      @BaddestCat Рік тому +5

I think people like ranchers may be such a bridge. I would say in the carnivore community one example of animosity is carnivore against vegans. It sounds like they are two polar opposites of spectrums that can never come together, but at the same time I have seen that carnivores love animals and the environment probably just as much as vegans do. Could we really not have a common ground we could meet on to better the natural environment? Hearing you describe your ranching experience - the time and work it entails raising cattle, getting them through those freezing seasons, really drives home the love all of those animals must feel throughout their lives. I can't look at what you do and not see the respect you have for nature. There's something down to Earth in that image, that shows a side of life that the world might appreciate to get back in touch with.

I think kids are worse off because they think sugar and grains and processed food is normal. Every generation is more clueless than the previous one. And the food they are eating from the womb and into their twenties will sentence them to health problems for life. I have high hopes that young people will catch on to the importance of real animal foods, before it’s too late for them! They are also taught to be dependent. I never learned to cook, I never learned how to preserve meat, I just put pasta in a pot and poured sauce from a jar on top! Now I’m 42 and trying to learn all the life skills that were natural to my grandparents generation. I don’t even know how to tell if meat is good or expired if there isn’t a label on the package. And generations younger than I am are even more clueless. I spent years working multiple jobs to pay for all the health foods and expensive rent. I should have just moved to the country and lived in an RV next to a cattle ranch. So much time wasted trying to pay for green juice and organic grain products. I’m just glad I won’t waste any more time than I already have. And I hate that all my money went to companies selling processed foods instead of to ethical hard working ranchers like Maggie. But I’m going to be making up for lost time and trying to learn as much as I can and support local farmers as best I can. People go mad in herds but regain their senses one by one, as they say….so I’m one more and hope I can convince others too.

The repeated refrain about "approaching middle age" is probably more honest to reality. The 65 years in the title of this video might refer to her actual age, or thereabouts. Would also make sense for when she references Dr. Atkins writing a book when she was a youngster. Apparently Atkins first book came out in 1972. If she was born in 1941 she would not be a kid in '72. But if she was born in the 1960s she would be.

Maggie should write and publish a memoir or autobiography for a few reasons:
She seems like an amazing woman that must have things to tell us about her lifestyle that is so alien to most of us. This lifestyle is an historical record that will disappear if not told.
Any money from sales would be put to her farm, children, anything really, which I believe would be worthy.
Then there is a selfish reason, I and many others want as much of Maggie as we can get.

Cattle farming will definitely be under attack if they figure out it's healthy. Sorry, I'm a bit of a conspiracy theorist. I don't believe they want us living past 70. It would be a huge burden on society to pay someone retirement when they still have a good 30 or 40 years of life ahead of them. It's a no brainier in my opinion.

Dr Chaffee I live in Mexico and I am 71 years old. 8 months ago I went to Nephrologist and had the blood work done which revealed 54 % GFR. That scared me, adjusted diet, zero sugar, and was sent on a wild goose chase about what to eat for my kidney health. Long story, but without sugar, stevia, carbs it was salad, zero bacon, little meat. After watching Emily Penton testimony on Carnivore, I am convinced that a high fat, meat diet will help my mind. In 2020 I was hospitalized with covid and ever since having high prednisone pumped into my body, my BP has been high. Several ambulance rides, and 3 Cardiologist visits, to discover nothing wrong with my heart. Doc said its anxiety that keeps me in hypertension so they prescibed .5 mg of Alpramozam. This psych drug makes me have nightmares and my goal is to give my brain what it needs to readjust --- two nights without it --- zero sleep. So I am following you to learn, never too young to learn more and get better.

I'm really sorry to hear you've been having those problems, and I hope that they get better soon. Higher protein diets and especially a carnivore diet where you exclude various plant toxins and harm the kidneys absolutely does help with kidney function and overall health as well. And any ketogenic diet and I think especially the carnivore diet is particularly helpful for anxiety and depression. Good luck with it

Eat fatty meat!!! Eggs, butter and bacon and any cut of red meat and you be good to go:)) train yourself on the 16 hour fast with an 8 hour eating window. We eat at 12-2pm and the dinner at 6-8 pm letting our liver rest for 16 hours overnight.Add four 16oz bottles of water to your table each day and sip half a bottle every few hours. You can add pinch of sea salt to one bottle and sip a little from that bottle through out the day. Do add many different types of teas and rotate them so as to hydrate and enjoy in the morning or evening. We did lots of cinnamon stick, arnica, mullein, shave grass, camomile and you can even do tea bags if you want. Add lots of soups of salted boiled meats to your daily fluid intake and literally sip on it as you will or as a serving with your meals. It took us 22 days and we were good to go after that. It's been two years of mostly carnivore for us and now we are literally looking to have out root canals in our mouths removed to improve our cognitive health. #DrDaleBrenesen talks about the things that can impact your brain health.# DrDonaldLayman talks about the importance of muscle protein utilization and #DrThomasSeyfried literally talks about how our metabolism can help us combat all diseases if only we stayed away from all sugars.#DrBenBikman talks about healing our metabolism through high nutrition protein rich low carb meals .
#metabolicHealthSummit has experts that talk about our proper human diet.
God bless you in your health journey! And God bless Dr Anthony Chaffee and all the carnivore community! #beAherdsman

      Barbara,
try to eat animal products not cooked above 190 degrees Fahrenheit. The body will see food as toxic and react to it, get inflamed and immune system will attack food in blood as if it is bacteria. This was discovered by European doctor, maybe Swedish, in the early 1900' s with proof and experiments.
Fruits, vegetables, all foods, even water, don't cook above 190 degrees Fahrenheit.
May I also suggest books by Aajonus Vonderplanitz. He talks about how to heal with meat, organs, raw dairy, vegetable juice, but depends on your illness. You need meat and animal products to heal kidneys.
Psych drugs causes brain damage. Not a good idea.
Water aids kidneys but take water with minerals, or a sea salt tablet, or mineral water.

When I was a little kid in Central Mexico the father had so much debt just feeding the family's cattle herd. That meat was so precious that when a cow died by some accident the cow was butchered on the spot and all the meat and how parts were distributed to all the people that came. We lived in an area of Jalisco South of Guadalajara in an area that was forested and that had prairies surrounding it.Nothing grew there except sugar cane that was planted commercially. The people all had their own gardens and chickens and turkeys and goats. I don't remember any vegetables as a kid. But beans and things such as cream and condiments such as cilantro. On the weekends there would be a corner food place that sold plain boiled cow tripe or menudo that was garnished with onion, oregano and dry pepper and if you couldn't afford to buy a plate you could always buy a cup of broth. All her talking just brings back so many memories. Fyi..one can always get birria(beef or goat) broth at any Mexican food place in the USA or any place that sells it. They call it consume'. 😅

Long covi D bs....your collagen was decimated by the anticoagulants they gave you every 12 hours on the clock as a *protocol* for the supposed symptoms
And fyi.. those with lung damage were left with the water in their oxygen mix dried out and they trusted their doctors so much that they didn't have the sense of feared that it was covi D that was making their lungs burn and many died from that. Of all the protocol hospitals there were some that had their patients isolated at 100% , we really needed Trump. He won only to negotiate with the hospital management corporations for which he almost made them go broke specially when he threatened to take away their patients and thus his tactic of having navy medical ships at each coast was useful and we all were afraid to show up at hospitals
Trump negotiated the covi D options for us to have a choice not to vaccinate with unproven vaccine. I'm sad you went through this. The covi D protocol is a space travel experiment. They need to know how we humans can survive in space with low oxygen and anticoagulant therapy to prevent blood clots from fluids in our bodies that float in weight lessness. #astronautGetsBloodClotinSpace
      Before the covi D outbreak..
      Who paid for this experimentation?
Amazon, virgin, maybe Elon but definitely all the elites that want to travel space to get away from the forecasted sun nova.

I appreciate this enlightening info. Many years ago I thought I was on the right track reading Dr Atkins books. Then heard the lies and put the book back on the shelf. I went down the wrong road of trying to eat healthy following the government guidelines and did come down with some serious health issues which I have battled for many years. After watching many videos, 6 weeks ago I started KETO and gradually changed to carnivore. I've lost some weight and haven't had any stomach aches or heartburn since which I've suffered for a few years now. After ⁶weeks I'm feeling much better already so I'll stick with it. I too cried, probably for different reasons. I have lived in the 3 worlds; Inner city in my early years, country wood farm for 20 years and now in suburbia. Age wise I'm a couple of clicks behind her and I feel her pain. It will become a collective pain sooner than we realize. Meat eating or not (of which I am), insanity is the rule of law. Here in Quebec, I calculated with my wife (now deceased) back in the 1980's to mid 1990's that close to 6,000 small farms disappeared mainly because NOBODY in their family wanted to continue farming. The writing was already on the wall ! A good portion of these lands were purchased by mostly carpetbaggers.
