Iowa Pork chop here in Iowa.
@@judybeeding1813 I have 3 to grill that I bought at Fareway. The best place for meats!!
"Hot Lickin' Fire" would be an awesome band name, by the way.

@@sweatymetz88Not metal but like that hard rock your friends stepdad plays on friday nights at the bar
Thank you for these videos, Mr. Rollins. My grandfather passed away about a year ago and your voice reminds me of how i remember him. I greatly appreciate your work. God bless
So sorry for your loss, God bless you as well
The best pronunciation guide I ever heard: worce (like 'force') ster (like 'stir') shire (like 'sheer'). Worce-stir-sheer. :)
Kent and folks like him are national treasures that should be cherished and preserved forever.
Love your content Mr Kent. I've tried a number of recipes and techniques from your channel and all of them were a big hit with me and the family.
So glad everyone is enjoying
That's what I am making for supper tonight prefect timing thanks cowboy 🤠
Hope you enjoy
Cletus is such a good boy telling Kent how to cook his meal.
I remember when y'all had 1500 subs. Im so happy for y'all's success. Y'all are great people. God bless y'all
We thank you for being a long time viewer, God bless you
The man, the myth, the legend does it again. 👍
Thanks for watching
My gosh…that’s a GREAT price on those beautiful thick pork chops!
Yep it was a good deal
Smoked Chops are always good if you think you’ll have leftovers for a few days. Grilling is a Favorite if you have a great dry rub to apply. In my opinion these are my options.
Now that's what you call pork chops with the thickness of them and they looked absolutely delicious as always kent. I hope that head supervisor cletus was happy with the cooking method. When it rains ☔ here in Scotland, we call that "typical Scottish weather" 😆. Enjoy the rest of your week guys 🙏❤️.
Will do, we need some more of that rain, 106 here today
@@CowboyKentRollinsI think everyone should help you guys in 🙏preying for more rain☔ so fingers crossed🤞 it happens soon.
We sure hope so, a break from this heat wave would be nice
When we butcher a hog. we generally cut our pork chops about an inch think. This winter, and matanza time. We will go for the thicker pork chops. Of course with the bonus of your great sauce additives. Loving your videos so keep them coming our way!
Thanks for watching
I always love your vids. I must confess, my favorite part of this one wasn't the excellent cooking. It was when you and the pups were in the tent during the rain. It just looked like a loving family of pups hanging with dad.
So wonderful. You are really living the life.
Such a sweet sound to the rain hitting on that canvas
Mr. Rollins, I love a big thick chop, but I must defend the thin ones! They're perfect for both a quick pan-fried meal when you haven't much time and putting a lovely parmesan crust on before pan- or deep-frying. You definitely have to be quick with them, though, and avoid over-cooking them since they dry out easily.
I agree, even if you want a quick-grill ... I marinated some thin-cut chops that my girlfriend bought in teriyaki sauce for about two hours and grilled them on our gas grill that doesn't put out a lot of BTUs because it's a cheapy ... they turned out wonderful, the sugar in the teriyaki helped develop a nice char around the edges of the chops too.
I have tried to explain to some folks around here what you are saying about thick verses thin they think because its a pack of pork chops for $3 its a good deal thanks for sharing this video.
I used to have trouble pronouncing Worcestershire sauce until I did some research into old English. The word is Anglo-Saxon and is pronounced Woos (or Wiss) - ter- shy- er (plus sauce). The first r is almost silent, the ces is a soft s sound, ter is ter and shire is shy -er. If you lived near Boston and Worcester (Woo-ss -ter) you would soon master the pronunciation. Great show - even with the rain.
You had me at Pork Chops.. always enjoy your videos.. thank you Rollins family for making the people of the world feel like nieghbors.. Respect as always from Canada 🇨🇦
Thanks Bobby so much
I made some boudin stuffed pork chops in the smoker and they were fantastic. Next is a green chile stuffing
Now that does sound good
Mr Rollins, I love watching you cook and all the antics. As someone that raises pigs though, I have to say that those pale chops don't do pork any justice. I'm down here in North Texas and would be more than happy to provide you with some proper pork!
Thanks
I love the look and size of those porkchops! Both methods look like they will make some fine eating.
I think so too!
Kent those pork chops looked so delicious! My mother cooked pork chops so long that you could have used them to resole your work boots. Dad and I called them "chainsaw pork chops" because it took a chainsaw to cut them.😊
Yep my mother was the same way, took a lot of gravy, but we were glad to have it
I watched your video on the pan seared pork chops some time ago, and those were the best I've ever had. They were great with the sauce on them. And now. I will need to give these a try as well, they look delicious
Hope you enjoy
Grilled Pork Chops are great. Smoked Pork Chops are the "cheesecake" of all meats. Phenomenal.
Fine dinning
Love the videos Kent. Been a fan of yours since your days on Chopped. You bring so much positivity to myself and millions of others around you. Sending love from Missouri.
Thanks so much, was a great show and a great crew to work with
The ONLY reason to buy thin cut pork is because you don't know how to cook it. Pork is not a set-it-and-forget-it meat. It takes a tiny bit more effort (not much, but just a bit).
Another great one Kent!!!
I could watch Kent cook for fucking hours. Man is a culinary gift from the gods.
Oh Lord, you should let him be happy Cowboy for another Century. I tell you, Kent Rollins would be that kind of man capable to stick your eyes to video, your ears to his voice and your mind to his cooking process. He's straight master of knife, pie, fork and pork, guys. Kent Rollins, I love you and appreciate your attitude
Thanks Andy so much
Wish l could could give this more than 1 up-thumb. Thank you Kent and Shan. Enjoy the rain, l sent it special delivery, cos we've got a surplus in England at the moment.
Thanks for that, keep on sending it is sure hot here
Yes sir and being a neighbor pit/grill master along with a trained french chef.
I can only imagine what you're cooking Sir 🤤
What a deal on the chops. Love the technique here. This recipe sings to me, I’m digging the figs🐸🍺🔪🔥
Makes a great sauce
Kent should be Clarke Kent because he's the Superman of cowboy country cookin. Thank you for these awesome videos that you put out. They have livined up our dinner table and gave us something new to try.
15secs in and he's already unraveled my whole pork chop experience 😂 I'm sticking around buddy, don't you worry 😂
Greetings from a regular UK follower, Kent and Shannon. Thanks for your great channel (and books). I live in one of England's many shire counties - Leicestershire which is simply pronounced lestersheer. In the same way, Worcestershire is simple - woostersheer. The trouble is, I've never seen pork chops that size here. I'll have chat with the butcher!
Cowboy Kent… rockin’ that pork. Just awesome cooking, sir.
Thanks for watching
I can't wait to try that fig sauce. I love pork chops, but I've never made anything like that before.
It is my favorite
Love seein Cletus interact with Cowboy Kent!!!
Boy oh boy Kent, I thought for sure that Shannon was gonna lose it when you jumped up on that stool! Good thing you didn't go for the double backflip, haha 😉
The audio mixing sounds great here too! In older videos, i had to turn the musical parts down cause it was like four times louder. This video, I didnt have to adjust the volume at all! It was very good sounding and well mixed
That looks so good Kent! Thank you. I hope y'all have a great week! Cheers!
Thank you my friend, stay in the shade and be safe it is a hot one for sure
@@CowboyKentRollins Very true. It is very warm here on the coast. Y'all stay cool as well!
Grocery store pork chops are usually 3/4" thick if you're lucky. I've bought thick cut from Schawn's and Omaha Steaks. They are about 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" thick and keep juices so much better. Thank you and Shannon and the pups for the fun and educational videos. Papa Bob in Washington, MO.
I have the Meat Guy at Sam's Club cut mine at 1 3/4" . I have to purchase the entire pack but ant a very good price.
you have a teaching gift for cooking , smoking and grilling sir! thank you . God bless you and your family and pets !
Kent stay off that stool! The world needs its heroes.
I love thick pork chops. Best I've had was at a restaurant near Paduca, Ky. It was 2" thick. I buy mine from Wild Fork - 1 1/2" free range heirloom (Berkshire) pork; a little pricey but worth it. The meat is red not light pink or "the other white meat." I usually cook using the reverse sear method. Half inch of fat is just right for me.
Always feel good after watching.
We thank you for taking time to do so
I agree with you Kent. I put pork steaks on the grill and they're absolutely delicious and tender but you can't put them on direct heat until the very end and they turned out extremely tender also. Cletus tried to be the star of the show today. How wonderful is that. I love to see Cletus and all the pups pigs for 10 years old. Wow he's up there and yes he does have manners. Thank you for the dance and the recipe. God bless. See you in the next video..
If you are a Christian, why are you eating pork?
Them are some GREAT looking chops. I used to work in the office for a pork slaughter house and our hog buyer always taught us that the greatest sin was overcooking that meat. He liked his chops a little pink on the inside. An amazing food to be sure.
Beautiful pork chops.
Thanks, as always, Kent and the missus!
Especially for that baked bean recipe, I've made some money with that one, lol.
So good they are, we have them often
Kent, you cook like a master chef! It reminds me of my dads cooking at the cottage! I really miss him.
I did that dry brine pork chop recipe you put out some time ago and it was delicious. I dry brine most everything, so anything recommending a dry brine is my go to.
Cowboy Kents dance is straight goof troop. It sure is. 😂
Hey Kent... I've been a huge fan for years... I'm a Retired submariner... just wanted you to know that one of your fellow Oklahomans.. Vice Admiral Jeff Trussler, just retired after 38 years yesterday... he is the real deal... so wish I would have thought ahead and see if you could bring the chuckwagon up to DC to make a feast for his retirement.
Thanks so much for your service, and that would be a great deal
Love it. Never thought about using figgs. My wife has canned a bunch a few years ago. Will try that out. If we have a few extra jars I'll send you one. Have a great day.
So good it is
First time watching your videos but not the last.
Loved the cooking presentation with two different grills, sauces look delicious, vegetables were a bonus, thanks for the big salute to our veterans 🇺🇸, the jig on the stool was priceless & at the end sharing a little treat with those pets was very thoughtful. God bless you & keep on cooking. 👍😎
Thanks for your hug Kent. Ghrrrr- back at you.
Thanks I need it
Thank you Mr Kent you and shann and all the pups always make my day Sir. I appreciate y'all's hard work and time!🤠
It is our pleasure
My goodness! Those look amazing in the cover photo of the video!
Yep Shannon took a great pic
It's pork chops Saturday afternoon coming up!! Ive not been able to grill pork chops and come out like in this video but sure going try to!!! Again Mr & Mrs Rollins thanks so very much for all u do!! God bless you both and ur critters!!!🙏🙏🙏
Hope you enjoy, I have faith in you and God bless you as well
That was such a hoot to watch! A cooking comparison turned into a mini adventure movie.
Smoked pork is some of the best. Smoked chops. Smoked butt. Great stuff.
Best grilled pork chop video!!
Going to be grilling pork chops this weekend!!
Kent, your the Best!!
Hope everyone enjoys
Hi! I was born in Worcester. Let me help you say “Worcestershire” sauce: WOOSTER SHEAR SAUCE. No shouting intended ❤️❤️❤️ you channel👍 That’s how we say it in New England, USA. British folks may be different.
Thanks for the tip!
Made the grilled pork chops tonight- subbed peache preserves for the fig. They were fabulous, we paired them with grilled corn on the cob, a green salad and a Sauvignon Blanc-💯
I have always cooked my pork chops to 150 and never gotten sick. They have always been fully done and juicy.
my Wednesday isn't complete until i get off work and come home and kick back in my chair with my timber dog next to me and fire up a kent rollins video. much love from oregon from me and the timby dog.
Thanks and be sure and give that dog a treat for me
Made the foil chops with my son last night for the whole family. Your fig/W sauce was fantastic. Thank you!
I love your cooking, winter is hitting here now so I can't do a lot of the stuff you are doing. Spring will be here soon enough. I love how incorporate your lovely dogs into your content. They are just the best.
Fantastic! Thank you both! Always enjoy your videos/postings. Love you guys!
I just got a Pit Boss 1150 pellet grill/smoker. The day after Thanksgiving Lowe's had it on sale with a $ 500.00 off the retail price with FREE assembly and delivery.
That grill works great. It even has WIFI and blue tooth which lets me change the temp when I am in the house or running around town.
Good afternoon from Syracuse NY brother and everyone else thank you for sharing your adventures in cooking
Thanks Earl and God bless you
Thank you everyone and GOD Bless everyone
Both are good tasty recipes.
Yes they are
As a half Mexican, I’m ashamed that I don’t use like enough for my cooking. That’s my issue with pork chops. I cook to temp but they never seem tender enough. Gonna have to make lime a staple in the house
The fig sauce IS THE BEST ever, we will use it everywhere👍😀
So good and so easy
My goodness, Kent, you set my appetite on fire. Thank God for your wholesome channel. Your friend from New Mexico, Carla 🎶💖💐
Thanks so much Carla and God bless you
Great video. I’ve always struggled with pork chops. Going to give these two methods a try this weekend.
Thanks!
Looks great!! Gonna try this for sure! I purchased your mesquite seasoning and did a rub on a couple of beef filets, WOW they were so good!!! Thank you and Shan for your videos.
Best tasting tender pork chops I ever ate were smoked in a Coleman stack smoker
Awesome channel, been watching for more than 10 years now. Love the low cost ideas too. God Bless you.
Awesome! Thank you!
Thankyou for an amazing episode
Thanks for the videos, I enjoy them.❤
Love all the videos that Kent Rollins creates.
my mom loves pork chops, this will be a nice treat for her.
Nice job on the video! I learn something new every time I watch your cowboy cooking skills. Keep it up and I'll keep watching!!👍
Looks really good for thick cut
You the man Kent. Going to try this recipe this weekend. Enjoyable videos every time guys
Hope you enjoy and thanks so much
Okay for ☝🏾 you definitely got a new subscriber and ✌🏾 I’m definitely moving out of the city and back to the country because just looking at the background definitely puts my mind at peace. God bless you Pit Master !!
As ever, impeccable cookery, a tonne of cheerfulness, and the down to earth surroundings that we all know and love….I can but hope that Cowboy Kent will, someday, get cracking on a south-western ‘ take ‘ on Cornish pasties. Or, sausage rolls !..
We do have a video on meat pies
Love it!! I have never seen pork chops that thick in my local stores! Great stuff as usual!
10:15 The man in the Louisiana diner asked "what's this here sauce" and the fry cook said "yes".🤠
Kent.. That was just the one I was lookin' for! Very informative... Thank ya much!👍🏻
Glad to help
I call it my 2 lill cajun boy's. Lee and Perron lol I learned that from Mr. Justin when I was way younger lol. Thank y'all for the great videos
I miss Justin I do
Those pork chops look WONDERFUL and, I surprised to say it, but I'd even try some of your asparagus. It certainly looks better than any I've tried before.
Cletus was a good and very attentive lad today. Bravo!
Watching the rain in west OK or the TX panhandle is better than any regular TV show!!
That is for sure we need more of it
@@CowboyKentRollins I meant to mention the cattle mooing in the background as Shannon filmed you. Good golly it makes me wish for home! Be sure to pass my thanks on to her for always including random photo-shots and sounds of the cattle belly deep in the farm tank, occasional critters (especially the paid taste testers), the weather and countryside! For me, they are the seasoning in your videos!
Excited to try out this recipe - looks sooo good! 👍
Hope you enjoy
This is a great recipe. I was making all the same mistakes Chef K taught DON'T DO THESE.
However, I don't buy Paremasan from the green bottle or even fancier in the deli section. I use Parmigiano Reggiano. I guarantee you will never buy any other parmesan cheese from the store again. The K brand is the worst in that bottle. I never knew about it until the chefs taught me at culinary school. Unbelievable. 18 months aged is the best, and you shred in with a manual shredder. Small using a micro planer which is so easy right into a bowl. In this UNSOLICITED suggestion Chef K, you will like using it.
Got me an order over instacart from Costco rolling 18 thick ones because I have to feed the neighbor kids tonight. (I had to get a load of ice to cool down the swimming pool. Mighty hot these days- the pool is 97F!) They will love the pork and the asparagus. Every night I read American history to them or about laws and the Constitution. They were all born here. They like ice cream, too, so I will make your cobbler later today.
Note: Biggest is your PATTY melt. I read to them from your books. About the wholesome but rough way cowboys lived. God Bless You, Chef, and Ms. Shannon!
Mr Kent, I love to Bbq and grill. REALLY enjoy ALL your video's! Thank you.
I need one of them hats.....
Thanks for watching, they are nice this time of year, My friend at Chzmitchellcustomhatz makes them
These just look amazing. This will be the next recipe I use! Thank you, sir.
Hope you enjoy
Mr. Cowboy Kent you definitely hit a home run with this video. Every video you deal gets better and better !
That wife of yours is a true asset to your channel. I hope to get a chance to meet you guys one day. By the way the fig chop🐖 is my favorite as well !
Thanks so much, she is the love of my life and so talented
I can watch your videos every day. You enjoy it so much. And your dance at th he end and thank the veterans are heartfelt.
As always, outstanding cooking techniques, grilled, smoked, fried, BBQ'd, you always give us the great tasting cowboy food cooking and eating tradition experience, esp when it comes to pork chops, which you are exactly right. They must be thick and not over cooked.
But I remember asking you if you would make Veal Chops one day. If you could please grill or fry us up some 2in thick veal chops, it would be great. I luv my veal chops on the medium rare side
Thank you Mr Kent Rollins sir
I appreciate that, I will keep an eye out for some
