My grandma in Apache, Oklahoma always said to crack eggs on a flat surface because the shell stays more intact and you don't get the little bits of shell you get from cracking on an edge. Of course she also said if you do get some shell you can just keep that news to yourself! I sure do miss her!

(She once watched me makin' 3 bypass breakfast for myself. Murmuring: "the spice fairy is cooking, again.")

Sit down together on a star and laugh about all those silly moments we where allowed to share.
During these brief moments we where able to share with each other, living on the planet earth.
Several years ago I listened to an interview with the owner of Kerry Gold. They raise their cattle the same way they were raised 300 years ago on the same land the cattle graze today.
Great butter it is
mom used to make them, side slices of bacon or ham. When i made it for my girl, i always buttered the centers and toasted them in Kerrigold for her as a treat! She always gave me a little buttery kiss. Thanks for taking me back!

My mom always called it "egg in a nest." This video caused warm wonderful feelings to flood back. When I started making egg in a nest for my family, I would add fried bologna or smoked breakfast ham and cheese, but it never occurred to me to use sausage. That will be the next breakfast I make!! Wow! Never thought of this at all. I have oatmeal molasses bread I made up yesterday. I'm short on sausage though. The hogs are starting to look a little suspicious about now. I suppose I could chop up some ham and give it a touch of sage. It should work fine with enough cheese. Thank you as always.

I've always loved you channel and have watched you for several years. You brought me back many years; my late grandfather used to call eggs, "cackleberries." He also called ketchup, "red lead." He had a name for everything, it seemed.

I love my cheese, and I'm crazy about breakfast sausage, especially if it's peppery hot. I also get my eggs fresh from my next-door neighbors, who have 13 beautiful chickens and a feisty rooster. Hey CK, I am a fan of Kerry Gold butter just as you are. No doubt, it's a fine butter. Recently though, my local Walmart has a new butter on the shelf that is as good, and dare I say, better than the KG. It's the Vermont Creamery brand. They have three versions of it. I've only tried the version with the sea salt but I have to say, it's really nice. American made and less expensive. Give it a try.

When I was a kid (age 7 in Canada), my first meal I cooked was eggs in a nest (egg in a hole). It was just egg and bread. As we get older we keep improving our dishes.

Yet another great video to add to my recipe playlist! I make a toasted bagel with fried egg, back bacon and cheese but this looks alot more tasty and filling. Will have to find a similar type of sausage here in Canada though. Lou's Back Bacon is what to look for in Canada for those interested. Btw, any dog as tall as Cletus can and will counter surf or perform air strikes on a bbq:)

I love these sandwiches. I’m not a breakfast guy mainly cause I get up and eat then get satiety and go back to sleep. This is one of my top 3. Others are juevos rancheros. And corned beef hash with over easy eggs🐸🍺🔪🔥
