Located in the heart of Canada's tech triangle, Kitchener, Ontario is one of the country's fastest-growing regions. Home to a thriving automotive industry, including a Toyota manufacturing plant and numerous suppliers, our area offers unparalleled access to major markets, just 2.5 hours from Detroit. Hope you get that Truck soon. I mentioned you hoped to get your truck soon ( to Jason at Mark Dodge ) He said it’s strange , some RHO,s that were ordered later ,came sooner? I ordered a Rebel GT from Mark Dodge on November 8th . I already have the truck in Upstate NY . I thought it would be 3 or 4 months . Great savings and great people at Mark Dodge . Thanks for giving me the idea to go through them
Patients is key to life, especially vehicles, as you know Tim. I waited 2 years for my Rivian and it was the best truck I've owned in 30 years. This new FE TRX I bought has big shoes to fill. Last year I drove just over 10K miles and it cost me $700 Ish in charging at home. about $300 supercharging. that is $1000 for 10K miles. I have spent $600 in gas in 4 weeks on my TRX. As expected, but it still makes you wonder. The RHO should be a fun truck and I am excited to see what a voided warranty tune and upgrades to long-term. Rivian covered my R1T even though I was racing it. Ram? We shall seeeeee.
Glad your truck is moving forward. I'm not in the market but I am really excited to see what you learn about the RHO long term. That's so awesome about the podcast! I love how big it's gotten.
Hey Tim, I live 20 minutes from the Sterling Heights plant and when I ordered my truck, it seemed like it took forever to get it. I was ready to go get it from the plant. 😂
Wow, I was not expecting my hometown to be at the top of the list for your podcast, Tim. I mainly watch via youtube, rather than downloading it. I can only think of a few of the truck owners that live here that could be listening. We have a couple of pretty big dealerships here for trucks, like Kitchener Ford is a pretty big hub for truck sales.
If the manufactures are giving your truck a second inspection and making sure it is perfect that’s not a fair comparison, especially when it comes to you reviewing your truck and giving us your opinion on it. Maybe for a fair opinion you should just buy a truck off the dealership lot and review what most people are buying. Not trying to pick a fight but this seems a little skewed to me.
Oh I’ve done that as well over the years. Just bought off a lot. What you may find interesting is I’ve had issues with new trucks even with the 2nd inspection.
Just random subject, but did you know that VW doesn’t warranty their vehicles made in Canada that are sold in US? It happened to me with a 2023 cross sport. I bought it used from a dealership in Ohio. Was not a VW dealer but only had around 2000 miles on it. I emailed all the way up the chain but was told no warranty at all. There was nothing wrong with the vehicle but was told randomly by a VW dealer the car had no warranty in the US. I sold it never to own another VW. That was the second cross sport I had owned. No more
Thank you for finally laying out why the Hemi is not the answer. Dodge, Jeep and Ram need a complete makeover and rethinking of what they want to be when they grow up?
I know people like the v8. But I am ready to see how the i6 and hopefully it will make it into the Wrangler. I wish it didnt have 2 turbos though. The v8 has issues with the tick and so does the 3.6 v6.
I own a 2025 Bighorn SO. The power is very linear, you don't even notice the turbos. I had the opportunity to drive both before picking up the 2025. At a mile above sea level, you definitely notice the power loss from the 5.7 E-Torque. Thats just normal driving, the SST barely notices the 20ft trailer that I have. I could only imagine what it would be with the 5.7 hemi. I've always been a big fan of inline 6s. Inline 6s of all the types of engines, have the best balance of power vs vibrations. Beings that all the cylinders are inline, the harmonics causes less strain on the engine. I would have most likely gotten the 3.0 Duramax from Chevy. It would have gone longer between fill ups. Beings that I'm mostly hauling or towing stuff. And after watching a TFL video, where they pitted the 3.0 Duramax against the 6.6 Duramax. It returned a little more than 14 mpg when hauling their trailer. Which pretty much sold me on it. But in my area I couldn't find one for less than $70k. So I pocketed the $15k and went with the Bighorn. I haven't been disappointed yet. The power delivery feels like a naturally aspirated engine. With the power and tq you barely have to rev it out. I barely rev it out, going from stop light to stop light.
@99-Zulu 3.0 Duramax's are flying off the lots for under 55K everyday all day. I know because I purchased a LT 3.0 Z71 for 52K out the door tax title license

Tim what did you expect you ordered from a dealer that offered 10k discount, without enough allocations the dealer can't supply the demand. I've got mine and love it, from a small dealership in CA, paid sticker!
Before he left, he was working on a v8 crate engine. There is no way that v8 doesn't come back to Ram for a few years yet. Yes they paid millions in fines, but despite that they managed to make millions in profit. A v8 isn't going to sink them, especially now that they're introducing EVs and TT in the car lineup. It won't be the hemi, it will be a modern v8.

Congrats on 50 million views! At work I get to listen to what I want in my ear buds, so I've spent hours listening to you, especially repeating some videos you've done on Rams!
Dodge is in a tough spot since its buyers want a v8, which they can do but will face fines and lawsuits. Dodge is a company that will be interesting to watch in 2025.
I want to join the lawsuit. I have a February production 2024 tundra 1794 TRD hybrid and I know it has that bad engine and that damn thing will go out and get us killed. That hybrid has no power to get me off the highway in traffic. It’s weak. The motor kicks in anytime with minimal acceleration.
I know you hear a million different complaints. And this is just my opinion only. But no dipstick makes all Rams No buy no way no how not ever. Ram did this to enrage their customers in my opinion. And it definitely worked in my case. This is simply not forgivable.

Igmauto has a RHO with a tune. 100 hp increase.
