Depends on the application. Here our local plumbers and electricians drive e-transits because they say they drive less than 100 miles a day and like having a warm truck to jump into for assembling parts, and keeping their 12v cookers going. They take the work truck home, plug in, and have a full charge the next day. And they lease so they don’t care what happens to it end of lease.

It’s easy to comment living in another state. But it’s hard for families, especially poorer families to own things in California and build generational wealth. Unfortunately, there is a reason that without regulations, naturally, market was fine with diesel.
A few observations I’d like to make. 1. Allowing states uncontrolled expansion of EPA standards does nothing but create confusion and higher costs for consumers. One state going extreme over the EPA baseline doesn’t make things better. 2. The push to EVs has a ticking time bomb of consequences all are resulting very high costs to the consumer. Replacing a 5 to 10 yr. Old worn out battery pack exceeds the resale value of the vehicle. They become a throwaway item (not green). Costs to the consumer go up. 3. The ever tightening emissions standards are causing even the best IC engine to have much shorter service life span and driving up costs to consumers. Maybe DOGE can sort this out somewhat. I grew up in SoCal. The smog was bad in the L.A. basin. I left California in the early 2000’S. On a recent visit into the L.A. area I noticed still a very visible smog. 40to50 years of ever increasing emission controls on vehicles has not solved the problem. Until something is done about emissions from planes and ship the situation will not improve.
Have you noticed all these round abouts popping up that seem to be European spec? These are not made to allow tractor trailers or RV's through. Europe has very small countries and deliveries are made with vans or small box trucks. These round abouts are going to cause a great increase in the cost of goods as deliveries will and are being made very difficult with large US vehicles
@thesandman775 atleast 2 in my area were destroyed within a year of putting them in by semi trucks. I know many truckers that have changed routes because of them. Maybe my state is just ignorant at the way they designed them
Round D Bouts are for "Traffic Calming". Iam not calm by the time I get through one. Nevada in jumping on the band wagon and building them every where.
Couple weeks ago I was going up Tehachapi pass and Mr radiator failed. Had to wait 8 hours for a tow truck. That’s before all these rigs. If my truck when it stalled was not able to get to the shoulder in time and I blocked 1 or 2 of the available lanes up hill, 8 hours would have been a long wait. So what’s a broke down vehicle to do if that or accident blocks traffic? Call an out of state tow company? If in SanDiego, call one out of Mexico if I cannot get a California tow truck?
The thing is they have not invested anything into transmission lines to power all these new vehicles that will be now powered by electricity. Rolling blackouts? Cant get to work?
So with the new owners of diesel trucks currently what happens to us . Are we granfathered in where we aren’t effected going forward? Or how are we affected going forward?
Companies should just not sell any vehicles in California. With their (California) thinking, they will soon be suing manufactures for selling vehicles that burn any kind of fuel. I say why wait for that day, Let them walk in California.
Sell trucks that are made for Montana only. Get companies to open a shell office in Montana to own the trucks and then drive the trucks to the state you need to work in.
hi Where do I send the invoice for all new vehicles /equipment . Glad the EPA is paying . I will include all the xtra fuel usage that occurs with a gas fleet .
Congestion on the streets and highways need to be banned all vehicles during congested times should be required to enter into a maps a route so as not to contribute to congestion if not approved would have to be moved before or after to a suitable time and alternate this would make air pollution much less since the vehicles that just sit or move slow stop and go
The rules (mind you these are not laws) create a de facto elimination of internal combustion engine vehicle sales. This is not a de jure elimination of the same. However, if it is determined that the government, by a preponderance of the evidence, intended the end result (elimination of the internal combustion engine), they will lose the court case as the government cannot mandate the technology used, only that the vehicles sold meet the EPA emissions requirements.
Do not manufacture vehicles for sale in California. This is why cars artificially do not last. They have to sell so many unneeded cars a year to offset the trucks that are needed to support the infrastructure.
Ah i imagine in the next 50 years they will stop letting vintage vehicles be registered hopefully not but i think it will move that way. Side note they could limit cylinders in 3/4 ton trucks then ram could say look we have already done that no need to take your v8 😂

Why havent WE shown the public facts about diesel versus gasoline? For example, you could lock yourself in a building with a diesel engine running all night long and at worst being nauseous with watery eyes. Not so with gasoline, you'd be dead. Secondly, why not show that we could take our Sunday shirt and reach down the exhaust pipe of one of the new diesels, and pull it out to show how clean it burns? Cummins said that the air coming out of the exhaust pipe is cleaner than what's going in the air filter intake. I believe the public should know the comparisons overall, especially before we get too far into this issue that creates nothing more than a myriad of choices, penalties or additional cost.

we will be able to afford it.
I daily drive a 86 F-250 6.9 Diesel with 361K miles, along with my 85 and 87 4 x 4.
Plus 9 other Mercedes Diesels from the 80`s. my baby is the 80 240D 4-spd with 380K miles. Have a 82 Datsun KC Diesel I drove 30 years and 48+ K miles before I lost #2 cly.
Still have it out in the shop. Older Diesels just ran and ran and ran w/o hardly any problems. Simple engine`s w/o all the complicated problem with the new junk.
Keep on truckin, Jim...
HOW AND WHY DOES THE EPA HAS THIS KIND OF POWER?
Legally, they don't, but nobody has the pair to reign them in
Because Communist voters.
Thank President Nixon who signed the Clean Air Act into law.
They dont. The Marxists have given it to themselves without th consent of the American people. The Supreme Court recently ended the Chevron Deference for these institutions so we are headed back in the correct direction at least.
In the 70s you couldn't see the mountains from the low lands that's why
They can't make go all ev because we don't have power grid. They also can't go as far. We can make gas and diesel burn cleaner. You still have a carbon footprint with ev. You do more damage digging the stuff up then driving a gas car. There has to be a better way
Hydrogen can get me to swap from diesel but it's a long way out.
It sounds like it isn't just diesels that are banned.
The left wants to ban everything, we just need to be happy about it.
Remember, we have no rights.
Only big companies will afford electric trucks
Depends on the application. Here our local plumbers and electricians drive e-transits because they say they drive less than 100 miles a day and like having a warm truck to jump into for assembling parts, and keeping their 12v cookers going.
They take the work truck home, plug in, and have a full charge the next day.
And they lease so they don’t care what happens to it end of lease.
@ all of what you said sounds good and i dont see issue with those that chose EV for short distance work. I am triggered by the last part about leased trucks- i see them as a valuable tool. Treating trucks as disposable is so disgusting- especially an EV one with valuable and rare earth metals in the battery!
Yeah, but the higher costs of purchase/lease, will be passed along to the consumers they serve with their products/services.....
@@cybertrkso move the cost of fueling the vehicle on the worker doesn't seem very "worker's rights" to me 🤷♂️
Chevron left San Ramon 😂
Thanks!
Glad you found it helpful!
It’s easy to comment living in another state. But it’s hard for families, especially poorer families to own things in California and build generational wealth. Unfortunately, there is a reason that without regulations, naturally, market was fine with diesel.
Californians voted for this!
I am amazed how many cars/ trucks are registered out of state in Cali.
And for good reason.
Your amazed and lie in, I work at the DMV
Defund the EPA
Keep up the good work Tim!
The 25 Maverick 2.0 liter turbo comes with a gpf and regen. Everyone will follow. Hold on to your old truck.
Lots of car people will be moving
There is no EV that can pull 40,000 pounds up those mountains in Norther CA.
Dude even getting to San Diego through alpine on i8 or through San Bernardino 😂 Long Beach shipyard is shut down...
Wonder if this is why GM is working on a big block v8 gas engine.
I can't stand those things. I hope the Trumpster finds away to ban them.
I have insurance 😂 look out coming through!!! You're not hitting a solid steel deckover with an EV
I've never been on a roundabout that a semi truck couldn't navigate. Sounds like a wacked out theory if I'm being honest
Keep up the good work. We all need choice.
Trump is a roadblock for Newsome and I’m loving every minute of it.
Love the smell of diesel fuel
How will the groceries get to the store shelves? AKA Are they going to ban diesel tractor trailers?
You can't even buy a mid duty (class 6) EV today 😂 they're making rules that can't be enforced.
EPA is making issue , but not truck
They shouldn’t stop at trucks. Ban planes, trains, and ships. After all, they have internal combustion engines too.
Make California part of Mexico or its own country.
California is the 5th largest economy in the world. It will be it's own independent nation soon. We're tired of subsidizing the red states.
So with the new owners of diesel trucks currently what happens to us . Are we granfathered in where we aren’t effected going forward? Or how are we affected going forward?
You will be affected moving forward on new purchases and, depending on the size of your fleet, could be forced to sell old trucks by 2035.
I will include all the xtra fuel usage that occurs with a gas fleet .
does this only affect diesel, what about gas 3/4 ton in california
Just diesel. I’ve seen nothing about anything changing with Gas 3/4 ton trucks.
Electric tow trucks...🤦🏼♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
So how far back is the same legislation for smaller diesel engines such as the 3.0L LZO Duramax in the GM 1/2 ton and SUV’s??
How about no air planes, heavy construction equipment, or diesel trains also in California ? Oh wait that’s just crazy
It's easy just ignore this law, if everyone does that what are they going to do?? NOTHING
They will instruct the DMV to refuse to register said vehicles.
Gruesome sucks👎👎👎
Congestion on the streets and highways need to be banned all vehicles during congested times should be required to enter into a maps a route so as not to contribute to congestion if not approved would have to be moved before or after to a suitable time and alternate this would make air pollution much less since the vehicles that just sit or move slow stop and go
Stop delivering to California
Just wait till jan 2026 when the new 2/gallon tax is added.lol
Ah i imagine in the next 50 years they will stop letting vintage vehicles be registered hopefully not but i think it will move that way. Side note they could limit cylinders in 3/4 ton trucks then ram could say look we have already done that no need to take your v8 😂
What's weird is the concourse d'elegance on pebble beach. What about all those collector cars the elites own?
CA cant make enuff power to keep the lights and ac on in there state so now they want to have to need power for cars and trucks its going to take 100 years to get every thing out to speed to even try to do this and its going to work i get try to go cleaner but ever thing the epa has done to new car and trucks make them junk and cost more and not last as long every one get ready to go back to the wild west days O i forgot cow farts are bad and on and on and now we are going to need to mine the shit out of every thing to make green power i got it mineing coal bad mineing shit for evs good and every one needs to trash all there old stuff and buy new for 10× what the old stuff cost sounds like they just want us to need the gov to keep us liveing and we all no how good the gov is with that its all bullshit F off
Good video 😊what's it going to do rving travels trailer and fifth wheel what's going to tow that rv the auto manufacturers and rv manufacturers are in trouble with prices and bad quality 🤔😆😆😆
Yeah, RVs are in big trouble with these rules. I’ve spent some time covering that industry but not nearly enough.
Hey it's California's funeral
In canada quebec 2035 will be the last year you can legally sell/buy a new vehicule ran on gaz/diesel.
Simply stand out of CA. Period
It’s past time for California and New York to go through reconstruction style oversight.
What about the airlines, trains, gavin newsomes private jet
OH Gavin? He is exempt from everything.
Remember the Covid Mask thing? Gavin and his bunch if eletes at the French Laundry,
sitting around the table w/o wearing their Masks?
Why can’t Ford and Chevy become a chassis company and allow small business to install the engines.
I'm worried about 3500 f350 trucks
What are they going to do about the next volcano eruption. They are tax monsters
Where is your TRX ?
Just boycott deliveries to California if they don't want no diesel then don't drive no diesel there good luck
Don't touch my 2026 Tahoe 3.0 diesel I'm planning on buying. I'll be pissed lawmakers... you're now on notice.
How are they supposed to get the illegal immigrants in in the back of a truck if they're no trucks😂
Sell California to Mexico
Give the top half to Nevada and the bottom half to Arizona. Recreational weed and guns and civility
The most stupid comment. congratulations.
They wouldn’t buy it, they already have it.
Get newsome out of office
Booyah 👊🏽 😁 👍🏽 🇺🇸
It's a crap show and a half
Starting January 1st 2025, no transport of goods and services to enter California effective immediately and put it on the headlines.
I’d happily take a BoGo F250 + Lightning!
EV vehicles are on the FAST TRACK NOW W ELON IN THE MIX.
EV VEHICLES WILL TAKE OVER SOKNER NOW THAN LATER
Hopefully - Trump’s admin will revoke California’s waiver to create its own stricter epa regulations, halt EV subsidies of all types, roll back mileage and emission mandates to those of 2016, halt any public-funded EV infrastructure spending and stop the carbon credit system that punishes ICE technology. All of this is in his cabinet appointees hands - no legislation is required.
Oh no the mall crawlers wont be able to get their tax writeoffs
Karen is great!
Gov. Newsom is Amish
Thanks! GREAT VIDEO.
Would Mexico be inclined in providing dedicated access to Mexico 20, Yuma to Tijuana to by pass California?
Yes a new port in Mexico would be created for loading and unloading....any developers?
Another option is to do a new port in Texas , again cut California out from all shipping.
With the proposed tariffs, why would Mexico do us any favors?
Buy A 2500 Chevy/GMC with The 6.6 Gas Engine.
Damn, you guys need to work on getting better audio for what’s essentially a audio show. Put the dogs away mute the phones maybe get better mics?
All truck drivers boycott loads to California
EV's suck.
How and why is this possible there, but not here? Answer: It’s possible here too and will happen based on cost to operate. Get over it.

Clean air is good ...thank you California
Move if you don't like city air. Maybe stop with the "more government is the solution".
America needs to ban California
BAN DELETED TRUCKS
Delete the EPA
The pre emissions market about to get wild 😂
Commiforna
Just saying class c and some class are gas rig and class A diesel pusher start at 35 foot to 45 foot can't believe you don't know anything about rv's when you talk trucks that are needed to pull them 🤔
Show me a 600+ tq gas rv bud. There are a ton of power stroke and Cummins and Duramax RVs out there based on 350/450/550 chassis and super c mid duty chassis before you go full class 8 chassis.
i can see no diesels at the 350 level.. those trucks engines already have so many 10k failures .. you can put in a entire new gas engine for the price of installing a new cp4 pump.. and that has nothing to do with emissions.. all you kids dont remember every town and city having a brown haze over it - when the population was less than 1/2 of what it is now and number of vehicles 1/3 of what it is now.. in 68 few families had two cars at all. you kids just have no idea what you are talking about.. (under 55 you are just a stupid kid, but dont know it yet]
I remember, as I am 69, but we have largely solved that problem. What they are now trying to do is overkill
More government is the answer? You guys are why we're in this communist mess. Its a big country, don't like city air, then move.
What emissions are you worried about from diesel? Be specific. You're talking down to younger people not knowing, but I'd claim you don't know 😂 science has evolved and your knowledge is a memory from 60 years ago. That haze isn't there unless you let those fires rip you cause.
@@scottleggejr nox. & particulates.. the egr cools the cylinder temperature to reduce nox and the dpf filter uses def to reduce particulates. the fine particulates that flow clear into lungs.
@@timolson7005 they don't though. It's been proven particles are settled on the ground in 30 seconds. What about all the manufacturing and trash and waste from making the toxic def? What about all the manufacturing and shipping for all the parts that break all the time? NOx emissions are at an all time low and they want more and more and more and more. Scientifically speaking there's no possible way exhaust gas "cools" an intake charge 🤣 my truck is 1500f under heavy load - putting that back in the intake isn't "cooling" 🤣
Pretty sure they will trai Cali 😂😂😂😂it’s f****n California 👎👎👎👎
Everyone makes their own deal in life. The company’s complaining have had years to prepare and plan for this and they chose not to. I’m supposed to now feel sorry for them? I don’t. They chose their path and now it might turn out to be a bad path. Oh well, try harder next time.
There are no alternatives 😂 enjoy your $50 lettuce for the one truck that meets standards. You're inflicting pain on yourself here and don't see it in the sake of dreams. The road to nowhere is paved with good intentions
