I had 6600 and had to go to a 4070 super due to driver issues with stuff crashing and VR issues.

funnily enough I've tried all 3 and intel somehow has the a770 working better than the 5700xt I used (lots of random bsods on amd), Nvidia 3070 almost never had issues, I use an a770 right now because I think its funny since I have a 12900k anyways. I also had lots of stability and ram issues with a ryzen 5800x and 3600mhz ram, currently running ddr5 6000mhz with xmp enabled no issues on my 12900k tho somehow?
Anyhow if you live anywhere near a microcenter you can get a mobo, 32gb ram, and cpu for 400$ for 12900k bundle or 470$ for 7800x3d
