You explain crystal clear the pros and cons of all three methods. And it is quite strange that Epson and Canon don't offer the high quality models of their flatbaet scanners any more. Maybe as too many are offerd second hand. Many users sell them when all old images are scanned and when the job ist done. So they only offer drivers for Win11 for the leatest models, what they are still doing. I use the Canon 9000F Mark II and it is ok for me. Film scans with 1200dpi/48Bit are good enough for a 4K TV and you can scan 10 images in 11 minutes with scangear in batch mode with IR dust reduction so it scans twice. And very old printed family B/W images with crunchy borders can be scanned automatically in batch mode also. So a flatbed scanner is the best choice for digitalizing the complete family images on several formats. Some Epson have a bigger transparency light than the Canon. The fact with the better color mode was very useful and i didn't know before how digital cameras work in detailed here. So this confirms my choice to do my job by my flatbed scanner. Resolving power is an attribute of the lens. The appropriate term for film is accutance. It does not matter how many times this distinction is overlooked by UA-cam videos. It will always be contradicted..

I've looked everywhere to find a way to simply create a six or seven strip contact sheet. It doesn't have to be perfect, just good enough so I know what I've got on the negatives. Most scanners have at the best two strips. Any advice?

I gotta say, I agree - yeah, this game owns. I've replayed it and the only complaint I have is the 4k text scaling but that's a problem with 4k and not the game itself. God bless Valve and God bless the orange box.

nothing makes me more sad than watching this video realising how perfect this game was. i only ended up playing it because of how bad pubg was at the time! even now i only really play pubg but would 100% uninstall it to go back to the ROE days. at the time this game ran so smooth unlike pubg, the guns were all great and fun to use in their own way. the bullet speed, drop, feel and hit registration were so good. there are so many things i have forgot about this game watching this that makes me think we have gone back in time since its death. i made so many friends in this game, more than any other. i still play with alot of them but sadly not in ROE! i really do not know how this game was not a massive success..

Speaking of .io domains, that the Indian Ocean Territory, which has like 1 island that is being given back to Mauritius when a treaty is signed in the near future. One nice thing about drum scanning is that you can get full rebate. Furthermore, most other types of scanning involves using holders, and the holders may be available for only certain film formats. I doubt any of those scanners have holders for 127 film, for example.

Is it right? Is it wrong? Lots of discussion. But most of us can agree that film can absolutely hold its own in the current day. If you have a good lens and reputable film, the resolving power is quite surprising. I've been shooting digital for the last 15 years and my only film experience was disposables in the 90s. Recently tried film for that "grainy look", but quickly realized it's actually harder to achieve that than you might expect. Anything under 400iso is impressively sharp. Since then, I've almost exclusively shot film. It's just more fun to work with.

Ok so. I'm using a v350 and man o man did your trilogy help, you basically made me capable of scanning my own film with decent results out of a 30€ scanner, it did take some trial and error and it will take a lot more but i'm already taking scans that o would've paid 10€ a roll, GREAT videos

yes after the first 2 awesome games in this trilogy this was was a major let down

I tried to replay this recently and after a few hours I got bored and uninstalled it. On Hard it isn't hard, but the combat just feels so boring, shooting the same human enemies in nearly every encounter with little variety. With the plot being so weak I felt disinclined to go to the next area, because nothing interesting ever happened. The gameplay is a huge downgrade from the masterpiece that is the first Bioshock (fight me) and the only redeeming factor is PRETTY CLOUD BUILDINGS. Nothing else about this game is interesting and I guess coming back to this as an older adult made me realise there's a reason even teenage me only played this once and forgot about it.

But actually the whole system is diffraction limited. In case of 35mm it is somehwere around 40MP. In case of digital medium format (such as gfx) its diffraction limit resolution is around 75MP, and thus justifies the use of 100MP sensor. Even if film itself can have such high resolution, at the end of the day your camera system is diffraction limited due to the size of the film.

Bold of you to say this while Angel of Darkness still exists, although I do agree it's the worst of the survivor trilogy.
