Absolutely! You are innocent until proven guilty! Simply make an allegation of such a nature about someone and that allegation alone destroys a person! So absolutely not until tested in a court of law. No bloody newspaper or media outlet should be spreading anyones name around unless proven guilty! Never!

I don't believe that anyone should be given anonimity. But if the accuser has anonimity then so should the accused.

Innocent until proven guilty, particularly these days with the internet. On conviction or confession fine, otherwise NO.

Releasing the name of the accused breaks the rule of law as it has stood for hundreds of years. Innocent until proven guilty. Releasing the name means that even if someone is found innocent, there will always be people that believe they are guilty and will treat them as such. The argument that it will bring others forward doesn't hold much water with me as they can come forward post-conviction.

You can't guarantee anything, let alone anonymity

No cos other victims who don't come forward get the courage to do so when seeing their abuser in the news.

Given that even an accusation of such a crime is capable of ruining the life of the accused (even before a verdict in court), yes to anonymity. But we live in an age where men are hated so I don't see that happening any time soon.

Men should rise up. The people making these laws have something against men. Why are men still supporting these evil people? Men issues are handled with kid gloves and extremely traumatising issues like backlash for false accusations don't even move these law makers to consider granting accused men anonymity. Men should rise up and help themselves.

I agree the mans name should be held back until found guilty but how do we keep women same if an accused that has committed the crime is allowed to walk the streets? Should the man be kept in jail until the trial, but what if he is innocent? If the man is found innocent, should the women's name be released? When you answer consider that the verdict could be wrong, it could be your wife or daughter who was the victim. What about false claims where it is proved a false claim against a man has been made, should the women's name be released? Being fair to both men and women makes the answer quite difficult.

The woman should be charged if she lied then no problem to release their name then afterwards
