Their compilation record Coda (1982), released two years after the band disband & which included previously unreleased recordings such as Bonzo's Montreux, is sometimes included in their main discography count.

This is the kind of recording that set Zeppelin apart from their contemporaries like The Beatles, Stones, Who, Floyd etc. It's literally sonic perfection. And just four young men in a studio.

Easily the song the made me pick up Guitar. When I was young I was gifted their performance at the garden and still remember the first time I heard jimmy play the live version with the opening solo…that very moment sticks in my mind to this day. By far one of the best live/studio recordings of a song ever.

What a lovely man Terry Manning is - he's so gentle. His basic thruths in other interviews about the band and Peter Grant debunk all the ridiculous stories whipped up by media. Thanks so much Daniel, you've captured some of the best Zep history. Fan since The Yardbirds here in the UK.

Since I've been Loving You has always been my favorite too. And I've had a lifelong obsession with Zep's music and love them all. SIBLY is otherworldly. When Pagey digs in for those arpeggios... 😱❤
I love how they somehow make the music seem to "drag" as Robert's lyrics suggest. Phenomenal! Next level! Thanks so much for sharing!
And wow. Anyone complaining about Page stealing other people's work without getting credit should be forced to watch this video to the end!

I made a living doing live sound for years in Portland. I used to always check my mixes from the bathroom/Porta John. If a mix sounds good in the bathroom, you know it’s gonna sound good everywhere.

The drum pedal squeaks are a great sound in the song. I remember asking my dad to play the one that had the drum pedal squeaking

Mr. Manning is one of the giants of music recording and a legend to me as an engineer. Even if the only records he made were the ones with ZZ TOP, he’d still be The Man for all time. Have mercy...

Ironically, was just listening to Since I've Been Loving You last night. For me, it's No Quarter #1, then Since I've Been Loving You #2, and then Going To California #3. Best Jimi guitar solo, Since I've Been Loving You, and No Quarter.

Don’t say that until you see the video of Joe Bonamassa cover “Tea For One”. It’s in a minor key, like “Since”.

@@Matthew_Eitzman watched it, I’m still with Jimmy, it’s one thing to cover a song, another to compose it, Jimmy was a genius, I’ve been trying to figure him out for 50 years, he never gives up his secrets, I can sound like him, but I can’t duplicate him

I never heard the pedal squeak until digital remastering. Why couldn’t Bonzo have carried a can of 3 in 1 oil in his pocket instead of a flask?

So funny you should say that. 'Pro Tools' hadn't come along yet but I'm pretty sure they had already discovered oil!

Not sure who but Page could write "SIBLY"---it's still completely fresh but sounds like a 100-year-old blues traditional

I never notice the squeaking, and wouldn't care if I did.

  • @panamvideosbystevepriske7483

I've always loved Led Zepplin's Since I've Been Lovin You ... but now that am all grown up and can look back at 'that time' without bias, am shocked to learn that Jimmy Page ripped off the song Since I've Been Lovin You from the little know US rock group of the time called Moby Grape!! The song NEVER by Moby Grape is obviously the origin of Since I've Been Lovin You ... although at an even slower blues pace than 'Since I've Been Lovin You', the words, sentiments and bass rifts of 'Never' are obviously where Page got his idea for Since Been Lovin You ... and Moby Grape's NEVER makes more sense starting off with "working from 11 to 7 every night...." than Plant singing "working from 7 to 11 every night" .... !! check it out: ua-cam.com/video/DqmcckH4fqg/v-deo.html

Since I've Been Loving You is definitely a great track even if they kinda ripped off the Moby Grape song Never to write it.
