A true American muscle car. Automatic, square, with a square engine making a billion horsepower and handles like a wet newspaper.
^ - ^
Sadly, it gets beat by many cars with less hp in roll races tho. It's not good at roll racing.
There's a Manual version too but i can only imagine it being too dangerous for the streets lol
@@yusufgta4341 and the cars it looses to cost more or don't have as much space. Remember the cat is the best interior and most room in its class.
@ProteusXF (redeye) the car hooks well with tires. Tires, practice and help made a big difference. I launched a 3.5 on stock tires (305/street) just gotta know what you doing
Tsuchiya has been a childhood hero of mine. I can’t believe he’s driving this monster. My favourite Tsuchiya moment of all time was his s2000 touge battle. Great to see the Drift King himself still driving like a mad man
Thank you for your viewing.
Very agreed!
That was a classic.
Same here! I got introduced to him thanks to The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, couldn’t believe that he is the guy that was drifting the red Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII!
that's right. You know it well!
I love how much respect they give the Hellcat. Even though everyone over here knows they blow chunks unless prepped properly (car and track), they still respect the engineering of the car. Class act! Also damn impressive to see a 2ton boat be drifted!
Thank you for your viewing.
Well, there's only so much they can do to a street-legal car.
Where is the technology in this 2 tonn brick???
@@mariobotti1952 If you have to ask, you arent smart enough to know.
Cause here in america we want power not safety MERIKA!!!
This car is the embodiment of America. And I'm referring to the sheer excess of it. It weighs like a bus, has way more horsepower than it can put to the road and its loud as hell. But sometimes its a freeing experience to just go wild in one of these things. I hope you enjoyed it!
I think cars need to enjoy waste!
It’s also fairly affordable!
cool, its strange to see a Hellcat in Japan but I'm glad Tsuchiya liked the car. It seemed like the track was too small for such a big horse power car, lets bring it to Fuji Speedway or Suzuka Circut :D
Any chance Tsuchiya will be driving a Corvette C8 Z06 in the future?
Let's do that next time! I got on the new corvette.
ua-cam.com/video/DAxWsvffoyU/v-deo.html
I'd love to also see c8 corvette. The video you linked has no English subs :(
Sounds exciting. Some say the reason the C8 Corvette is mid engine is because GM has more confidence in their traction control computers. They may have been afraid that in earlier times, a Corvette owner would risk spinning out as much as first time Porsche 911 owner. Having an engine aft of the driver has interesting results.
Nah, thats for the highways 100% those tracks are way to small
Man they should put some pulleys on that thing and took out the abs fuse. Lol
I see hellcats almost everyday but redeyes are a little different but never thought I would see the day that the drift King himself would be driving one
Thank you for watching. Tell your friends about this channel. Please also register.
Bro a retired drift king he can’t even drift the redeye
in the fucking rain of all things too LOL holy crap
@@ihateoxycodone you mean the retired inventor of drifting?
@@ihateoxycodone uh mentioned electric control won't let it 😅
This was great. I thought Tuschiya would hate the Hellcat. But he in all his wisdom, appreciated it for what it is. And he's a legend for drifting it in the rain with reduced TC.

Subbed, liked🏁👍🏻
Seeing a Challenger with Japanese plates is wild!
🇺🇲🤝🇯🇵
I would never have expected to see the drift king drive a hellcat! It would be funny to see it run the Touge course 😂
I want to do it.
it will hogged the entire road and win races
Pile Peaks had a purpose built Challenger run
I haven't done tough, but driving the mountain roads in challengers is not fun. It handles like a brick on turn, its body form is not condusive to weight transfer, and it weighs almost the same as a medium suv.
@@hybridAbsol No it won't haha touge is all about corners, and the Hellcat is too heavy for that, it only has straight line speed, would suckat touge
シンプルなデザインなのにデカくて力強い所にアメリカを感じる。
^^
Yes, we love big power but there are also people like me as well who love taking corners so a balanced platform is of course ideal :)) much love
Simple, big, fun
Perfect combination
Unfortunately they’re made in Canada Brampton Ontario
@@srtv8or109 its not unfortunate 😀
The patience and kindness and respect these men are showing for each other and for the engineering and power the Dodge or "doh jay" as they pronounce it is awesome to see. Dodge vans have a huge following and drift culture in Japan and I'm sure that's part of the respect being shown here. I can't imagine trying to get that beast to slide around, I'd be scared to try. It was funny to see a Miata in front and an S2000 behind it keeping up and teasing him. Goes to show, it's not just all about power, finesse and BRAKES make a big difference.
Thank you for your viewing.
these cars are nowhere track made makes sense they keep up these cars are drag cars for the straight line
You can't imagine these things to slide? Bro look up all the street takeover videos lol.
Please give this man a ‘19 RAM Classic 1500 with a 5.7L HEMI and watch him smile!
^^
Funnily enough, the superchargers used on the Hellcat engines are all manufactured by IHI, a Japanese company so its a homecoming of sorts haha.
That's right! It's just a reverse import. Ahahaha.
this car isn't completely american, chassis that based on old e-class, supercharger that made by japan, etc etc lol
Also $12,000 for one
Duramax is built by Isuzu and GM and Cummins is built with Komatsu. Definitely a lot more Japan-US auto connections than I thought in the past.
I sometimes joke that the best cars in my family were made in the USA. However, they were from the Marysville Ohio Honda assembly line.
An actual race car driver/drifter keeps repeating "800 horsepower" and how "dangerous" it is...yet here in U.S. we see most of these rare cars clapped out in the first 6 months of ownership
Danger is dangerous, but it is not.
There is fun with adrenaline.
This is a habit.
Yeah, these owners here in the US have no driving skills for the most part and are wecking these hellcats everywhere....
That is also true. I don't have the opportunity to hone my skills.
@@Bruce.-Wayne Yeah... Cause they're really cheap to own with the amount of horsepower you get. So anyone and their mom can buy one. Cars like this are extremely rare outside of US due to import tax, stricter emission testing/rules... So only well-trained driver get to drive them across seas.
It's like the mustang argument. 90% of drivers shouldn't not have and cannot handle 480hp on tap, a lot less nearly 800.
Imagine going to a track day in your Mazda Roadster, and seeing DK himself in your mirrors driving a hellcat! Great video, and a great bit of driving.
Love the respect this car owner gives to DK. In the part where he is saying that he would be REALLY happy if DK drives his car
I think so too. The president, staff, and owner of the shop are all very polite. I am very happy.
Even with a 800 horseplay monster, DK drives it with elegance. 😎👍
Thank you. Please promote this channel to everyone. Please ask what kind of car you want to ride.
He seemed scared of it. And driving that car in the rain is a poor mistake. Do a camaro zl1 next. He'll love it
It's a burnout car. DK needs to do Donuts. Brrrrrrr American Eagle gives freedom.
@@ZLwh1ne it if was his first time driving it id say its normal, very heavy with a lot of power, takes some time to get used to it, and im sure he didnt wanna crash it lol
Yes he have enought skills drive anything on wheels.
I never thought I'd live to see the legend himself take a Hellcat for a spin. He handled it on the track very well 👍
Thank You.
I've been waiting and waiting and waiting a long time, to see Tsuchiya-San drive a Challenger =] I just KNEW that it would happen one day (^_^)
It's a demon
@@ebaisie it's a hellcat redeye.
@@ebaisie its a redeye
Amazing to see DK enjoying this car. It would be great to see his impression on a Dodge Viper, as those cars were notorious for being very hard to drive at their limits, especially first gen ones. ACR-X on the other hand is a track monster.
Thank you for watching. Please subscribe to our channel. Tell your friends!
Expect the next stage.
I said the same thing. He would absolutely love the viper.
Amazing to see the legend adapt to the flaws of a heavy hellcat, but also appreciate the power of American muscle. Great video!
Thank you for your viewing.
車はバランスだ!軽さは武器!と普段言ってる土屋さんを唸らせるほどのパワー...本当に強烈なんだろうなぁ
笑っちゃうパワーです^^
Careful with it once you get comfortable the car will try to kill you. Most of the high power dodges are like that. Much love from the United States.
I had rental Hellcat with 717 hp (the one before Red Eye) and it was a mental beast. The torque is addicting. DUTCH CHALLENGER!
that's right. It was a great car.
a rental? Where did you find that?
If you rented it, they didn’t even give you the red key lol
@@cuckleberryfinn4618 if you rent in Cali or just Google it they'll give you the red key. Or find someone to tune and you basically have a red key but it's black
@@bugheman GA, CA, AR, TX and FL are the states ik that has them. Also check with turo. Some ppl even rent out plaids

I love to see the Japanese take on this car. I have a Scat Pack Widebody and it's so much fun to drive! Grateful to own one.
Thank you for watching.
A scat is not the same as a hell cat 😑
My brother in law sold his 2014 scat pack just before the pandemic! Price went up $10000 since he sold it.
@@AldousHuxley7
I bought one in Europe 8 months ago, prices have gone up about the same here to. I think its a future collectable car and will keep going up
@@emoney8678 Your point?
Gaaaaawd, you can just feel the weight and wildness of the car just by seeing how much he struggles with it. Usually Tsuchyia can throw around his cars like go-karts (part of why he's my favorite driver), but with the Hellcat, all that weight would probably rip him off the tarmac. It was nice seeing him get used to it. This is why I keep telling my friends I don't like heavy cars. Controllable weight transfer is my friend
As a recent purchaser of a Challenger, it's really nice to see someone who knows what he's doing push it to its limits. It's not meant for the race track but built for the drag strip. One hell of a daily driver. I feel super secure in that tank of car.
Thank you for your viewing.
Probably the first time someone's ever taken one of these on a track
That's right.
A non-Redeye Challenger Hellcat Widebody has won its class at a Global Time Attack...

What a special treat this was to see! I have driven a hellcat my friend owns many times and I can say the amount of balls tsuchiya has to drive this car with the safety functions almost off and in the rain no less cannot be over stated! Awesome!
Even full accel going straight in the rain is dicey in a Hellcat. And here he is drifting.
Thanks for watching.
Thanks for watching.
I’m a true red blooded American who owns 3 V8 American made cars. But I just love Japanese Culture so much. I love how passionate they are about everything. It was great seeing such enthusiasm about a big heavy American car with crazy hp.
Sounds like they weren’t in track mode with the traction completely disabled. Overall a great video showing my favorite driver in my favorite car.
I will try again. Completely off.
@@driftkingtelevision hold the Traction control button for at least 10 seconds. You should hear at chime and on the dash you’ll see traction control and electronic stability is turned off. That should do the trick. There’s another method of turning the car on while holding the T/C button at the same time. Try both and see which does the trick.
Thank you :D
Also make sure you’re in Track mode on the SRT dashboard. Press Track mode THEN turn off traction.
I was thinking of the same thing tracking Mode would allow you to freely spin those tires around corners
I LOVE the professionalism and how this guys express their thoughts about this car.
Thank you.
Love the way Keiichi drive this car in power slides like Fangio, it's a shame that this Challenger Hellcat has no a good brakes, amazing driving! Pure art!
Thank you for watching. I will do my best to meet your expectations.
@@driftkingtelevision Keiichi you are always giving your best driving! Thank for teaching a lot about the art of driving, greetings from Colombia, South America
hellcat brakes are actually some of the best on the market but the weight of the car makes it hard to stop even with the best of the best brakes
This was truly amazing to watch. When the throttle is opened on the straight it’s euphoric yet calming.
\(^o^)/
I get so much satisfaction watching people of other countries enjoying American cars
Thank You.
こういうレトロなデザイン良いなあ。こんな感じでGTRがデザインされてたらなあ。

that traction control really made that first run super choppy. handled it real well on the second run and in the rain no less.
Thank you for your viewing.
I loved the video! It's very weird but also really cool to see one of these being driven in Japan, especially by Mr. Tsuchiya. Here in the U.S., it's not very weird or rare to see a MK5 Supra being driven around, but I can imagine seeing one of these being driven around in Japan would certainly be very cool and odd.
Thanks for watching. Please tell your friends. And please subscribe to the channel.
Pretty cool!
Would like to see DK driving the original from the 70's, as well as its rivals from the same period!
I agree.
Wild to see this car on your channel! It's funny because among my friends we love JDM since cars like this Dodge were more common. For a long time anyone could get a V8 powered Camaro, Mustang, Challenger for a reasonable price.
I want to ride more various car models.
@@driftkingtelevision 1968-1970 dodge charger with a 4 speed manual is like AE86 but american kind of balance. Drift, road race, drag, off road, whatever you want on the fly. One of my favorite cars. preferably the 383 for tire wear, 440 is great too. The rectangle shape and size make it very comfortable to slide with. and the VROOM VROOM make your hairs stand up from joy.

It was a lot of fun. There was a qualifying and a final BATTLE at AE86 on that day. There was also a test run of my GT86. I ran a great mile.

American and Japanese cars are very different without a doubt. Cars like this challenger would definitely defeat your ae86 on the drag strip as intended, but your ae86 would have the upper hand on the track. I feel it would one day be interesting and fun to see you race your ae86 on track against this exact challenger!!
That's right. Great analysis. Thank you for watching.
Challenger is definitely a straight-line car. People have tried to make track cars out of them but they definitely always under-perform, even with heavy modification just simply due to their size and maneuverability compared to smaller, lighter cars.
Let it be known, though, that in a straight line, almost nothing is faster.
It's nice to see Tsuchiya-san drive a muscle car
ご視聴ありがとうございました\(^o^)/
Awesome! I can’t wait for the next episode with traction control turned off! 🔥🔥🔥
OK. Thank you.
I love that he is a sensible man and was hesitant, but tried to keep it from sliding too much. With some grippier tires, he could actually use the throttle in and out of turns XD
Thank you for your viewing.
I wish you could feel the power and control of a dodge viper ACR. An experience beyond words.
Thank you for your viewing.
Probably the closest thing to a muscle car for the touge; I reckon Tsuchiya would love it.

Yes sir! It is a crazy powerful vehicle.
I’m happy to help in anyway!
@@lilman227 I was hoping they found the way to completely turn off traction control in the video. I'd love to see Keiichi drive it again with the traction control disabled. I can confirm that it works as mentioned above, by holding the traction off button for 5-6 seconds. The car will beep and the traction will show "off" on the settings screen. I would not recommend trying this for the first time in the rain.

ダッチチャレンジャーがカッコ良すぎて興奮しました👍
I enjoyed watching DK's take on an American muscle car. However I feel like this car is best suited for drag racing. The muscle cars from the 1960s are even more "dangerous." My dad has a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS/RS with a 396 cubic inch (6.5L) V8 and it has drum brakes in the front! My 1970 Chevrolet C10 truck has a 5.0L V8 with manual drum brakes on all four corners, manual steering, manual clutch, and a 3 speed manual transmission. However, I also own a 1995 Nissan S14 240SX, and recently imported a 1992 Nissan R32 Skyline GTS-25. I love both American muscle and Japanese sports cars!
Customization is at the root of American automobile culture! Thank you for watching. Please subscribe to our channel. Tell your friends!
It is best suited for drag racing, but the wonderful thing about cars is, you can customize your car for what you want.

I spent about a year in Japan, wonderful country. It felt very safe and clean and the people were extremely friendly.
