stephhhh this video is breaking my heart. just the way you talk about SF and your face lights up and you look so happy! really hoping LA will do the same for you :-) LA is amazing if you let it
I had to pause around 9:00 to give this video a like because I was already loving this. I live in Tokyo now but used to live like an hour drive away from SF when I was still in elementary school, and I feel the need to visit real soon!!!
Hey Stephanie!! I just wanted to say that your videos (out of every youtuber) inspire me the most to get out, do things, have fun, and be creative while I'm at it! I can tell you put your heart into what you tell us, like your adventure happenings, outfit accessories, or even little tidbits of your life. Keep up your excellent work, and I look forward to your future videos! LOVE YOU
This is so great thanks mama! I've been living in San Mateo for ten years now and don't frequent San Francisco often so I'm glad there's a lot of places I can try now!
I just moved to L.A. In june , I definitely loved living in SF. for the amount of time I was there. I actually met you at a Macy's event before I left it was very lovely. I'm now living in DTLA which is probably the best spot to live in I'd say. I Live in the Arts District and is just an all around cool area to live in. It's and very hip , young , and up and coming area so it's cool to see all the changes, and Artsy vibe. Little Tokyo is also a really cool spot , also in Arts District. great coffee shops and art, and vibes all around but a little more quiet. Korea Town is another cool area a lot of cool bars and lots of places to eat. Some of the places you should check out Sage Vegan Bistro in Echo Park and one in Culver City. Most delicious food and beautiful atmosphere. Lock Key Bar is a cool in korea town. The down n Out in DT . Grand Central Market in DT . Also a good coffee place kinda really small though is Spring Time for Coffee in DT. Not far from that one is The Classic ; also great! Guisados in Boyle Heights . Echo Park and Silver Lake also great spots to Live in. There is so much to explore and see in L.A. Santa Monica is such a chill city you should visit. Venice typical tourist spot but cool vibe. Everything is very spread out so lots of exploring to do . Hope this helps a little :). I'm Zelda by the way. Love your videos and thanks for sharing all those cool spots from The City :).
I totally agree with you! If I could live in DTLA I totally would. I feel like DTLA is your kind of style SoothingSista! Also Santa Monica and Glendale are really nice :)
Thank you so much for this video. I can tell you put your heart into this video you were so passionate about the places you've mentioned. It is now my goal to visit San Francisco.
Your videos are perfection! I look forward to them every time I come on UA-cam. I love your sense of style, your taste in music and food, and just your overall suggestions on amazing places. Have fun in LA! I wish you the very best. :)
this video literally made me cry it made me miss san francisco SO MUCH )))): my heart hurts ): i lived there for 4 years then moved after i graduated from college. but i definitely want to go back and live there one day. thank you for this!!!! it made me so happy & sad all at the same time haha (x
I'm from the UK and have visited SF a couple of times. Totally my favourite city I've ever visited. If I could live there even for a few months that would be amazing. Visiting again in the next year or so hopefully, so thanks for the recommendations. X
I am so so glad that you made this video. I just currently moved to bay and where I work is in the mission district! I'm excited to check out these few spots!
i loved this video stephanie! i'd love another one of these once you get accustomed to LA. also couldn't help but be mesmerized by how stunning you looked the whole time, keep on keepin' on
Uuuunnggg this made me so hungry!! I wish I could have had all these recommendations about 2 months earlier for when I was visiting SF. Love that city so much.
Absolutely loved this♥ thank you so much for the great info! My friend and I are actually planning a senior trip and this was so much help! Thanks always and love you so much :)
this was really informative and super interesting! your voice is so nice that i just listened to you talk while i did art coursework. also your face is just super on point in the video + i liked the last bit where you just whispered "i'm on a horse" and giggled, haha.
Thank you so much Stephanie! I'm actually going to University of San Francisco this fall for school and I'd love to try all the restaurants/places that you mentioned! It's really cool of you to this
It's been three years since I lived in the middle of SF attending university here. I really really need to explore and go out insteady of melting onto my dorm floor. Thanks for the video!
I'm working for a company based in Nob Hill, San Francisco but I've never lived there! Putting this video on my Favorite Playlist to check ALL THE PLACES you recommend once I travel there!
Blacktop! Awesome coffee place that's very minimalist and right next door there's a vintage store. Area is basically in the middle of no where in dtla, so I hope you can find it!!
I wish I could like & re-watch this vid for the first time over & over again, but sadly I cannot. Anyways sending tons of good vibes your way Stephanie 🌸
I'm sad you left San Fran. But happy because now you live in LA and LA is amazing. And now I might finally have a chance at meeting you and Jenn Im. Plus LA isn't too far from some amazing flea markets and such. So I hope you love it!
I used to live in the Mission on San Carlos and 18th. I remember the prodjects on Valencia, boy has the Mission changed compared to when I lived their in the 90's. Miss living there....thanks for video several of the spots were my old hang.
As for places in LA to visit, remember that LA isn't one specific city it's basically a whole region. Of course check out Melrose/ Sunset BLVD. The arts district in DTLA is a wonderful place and their art walks are extremely fun. There's Magnolia St in Burbank and it's full of thrift and oddity shops. Griffith Park/Los Feliz have amazing little restaurants and bars. If you're willing to drive, check out Anaheim because there's Disneyland and cute little areas.
I'm going to be putting this video in a playlist so I can look back to it when I go back to SF in August for Outside Lands. Thanks for all the recommendations! Also if you ever come down to San Diego please check out Little Italy, Hillcrest, and North Park. All three areas have amazing restaurants! North Park might be more up your alley when it comes to shopping and bars though, that's one of my favorite places to hang out in my city. Best of luck in LA!
Omg girl THANK YOU! Hah lived in the bay area my whole life and yet sometimes I feel like I just take it for granted with the hustle and bustle of life. Great recommendations, looking forward to just playing tourist for a day, getting lost in the city, and maybe finding one of the cool places you mentioned! XOXO
This video was amazing! I'm coming to San Francisco next week and one of my viewers sent me to check this video out. It definitely helped - can't wait to visit :)
THIS IS MY FAVOURITE VIDEO ON ALL OF UA-cam! I've wanted to live in San Francisco for as long as I can remember, and this video made me even more anxious to go there! It seems like such a beautiful city, with so much to offer.. I've only ever lived in small suburbs, and I crave living in a beautiful, alive city like SF! This is my favourite videot hat you've done, thank you so much! ^.^
I grew up in the Mission and went to precollege at the SF Conservatory. I'd sometimes go and pick out a few knick knacks from Azalea whenever I had a break, and then saunter over to the chocolate store at the end of the block! So cool to see some of my favorite places highlighted in this vid...
I visited LA for a wedding once and checked out Little Tokyo and Chinatown. So I can't recommend much there, but if you're ever in Dallas, I got you lol. Thanks for making this video about SF! The two cities I've been wanting to visit right now are San Francisco and New Orleans so perfect timing!
"I'm on a horse" hahaa that was such a good ending. For LA I would recommend silver lake/echo park! They have interesting stores there and a cool vibe.
Cities outside of LA to visit would definitely be Long Beach and Down town Fullerton. You should check out Boiling Crab in LA its soooo good. The second Thursday of the month there's always the LA Art walk in the arts district they have food trucks that meet in a lot I recommend the kogi truck. The Mexican food all around is good there are so many delicious authentic Mexican food. I love living in SoCal.
Thank you so much for this video! My husband & I just booked tickets to go in August for our honeymoon! (We're from NZ). We're planning to stay in Hayes Valley! Xx
Omg there are so many awesome places in the Mission! You can't forget Zeitgeist, and Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, Cha Cha Cha, El Techo de Lolinda and so much more!
You should definitely try living around Melrose if you can, or at least checking it out! It kinda sounds like the LA version of Valencia street. There's lots of thrift stores, little shops/boutiques, cafes and restaurants, and some big stores like Urban and American Apparel.
You need to go to LACMA and the Getty Center/Villa for museums, Fairfax Ave, Abbot Kinney, and Melrose Ave for street shops and boutiques, Arts District for murals, Little Tokyo, Sawtelle Ave, and Ktown for awesome Asian food, and if you ever wanna just drive by the beach and check out the ocean and whatnot, drive on the PCH going towards Malibu or drive around Palo Verdes. It's amazing.
Thanks for making this video! Can't wait to go back to the bay and explore all these amazing spots! But, welcome to LA! Some spots I like to frequent as far as food: STOUT on Cuhuenga/Selma in Hollywood for burgers and beers, Silverlake Ramen on Sunset/Reno - my current fave, Bottga Louie on Grand/7th for brunch and the bakery is popular too. Bars: The Lash on Winston/Main - super trendy, go to the back room for good hiphop music, Bar82 on Alameda/4th for old school arcade games and an abundance of PIN BALL, and just around the corner of that is Angel City Brewery for some craft booze and random games you can ply while enjoying the beautiful art displays, it's at a brewery obviously so there's a lot of space and things to see. Hope this helps and hopefully I'll run into you some day! :)
Wow, I live in the Bay Area and found this video so helpful! I love driving down to San Francisco, but always wondered what are some cool places to check out. Gonna check out Tootsie Toes for sure! Been on the hunt for a new nail salon! Good luck in LA!
