You know, the dance break was excellent, but the dancing gifs really elevated it to legendary. Thanks for catching cool slices of life in SF, especially doggos.
"is this the mullet... of formal wear?????'' killed me lol absolutely love love love the art museum part of this vlog! would love to see more visits to museums and such
Hey Kathleen. Did you know that you can soften wool sweaters by conditioning them. Also, you can throw them in the freezer overnight, which freezes off the smaller pokey yarn hairs. It's something that knitters do to their labor of love creation.
Whaaaat I gotta try this!! I’ve got a wool sweater I thrifted that I love but don’t wear enough because it’s so itchy 😩 it’d be great to find a way that I can wear it without needing a long sleeve shirt under all the time
As someone whose sole purpose in life is to run errands with people, I love when Kathleen asks if we want to come with her. I swear it sets off neurons in my brain
I mean there's just something about small objects in museums that really tickles the soul. Saw this little jade crab at the MET a few weeks ago and it hasn't left my mind since :')
I just recently found your channel and I gotta say, the vibes you bring to the table are so comfy 😊 I've been going through such a tough time and it's been so nice to feel like I'm just hanging out with a friend while we shop or craft or talk about fashion. Kathleen, you're such a special person and I really value my parasocial time I have with you during your videos. Okay that was super lame and sappy gotta go hope you have a good day ok bye!!!!!!!!!!
ack! Murakami Takeshi exhibit I'm so jealous!!!!! Also that collection of netsuke is off the hook. If you're interested in those lil guys, there is an absolutely wonderful nonfiction book called The Hare with the Amber Eyes by Edmund de Waal. He inherited a collection of 200+ netsuke but no one in the family really knows the story of how they came to be an heirloom. He goes on an epic journey to uncover their legacy and his lost family history along the way.
Oh my gosh COOL!!! I’m a certified netsuke fan now.. I seriously stood there for like 15 minutes just staring. Thank you for the rec! (And for watching!)
It is a wonderful book, isn't it? The writer is a renowned ceramacist (videos of his studio are on UA-cam and worth a look) and the way he uses art objects as a prism for family history and world events makes the book a fascinating read.
This was so fun! I really, really appreciate seeing you wear a kn95 mask when you're in shops and public buildings. I always mask and seeing others masking too makes me feel more comfortable. You found great stuff!
Noooo, you left the nipple armour sweater 😢 I loved that item. As far as content format goes, I think I enjoy your longer videos the most. Crafty stuff, try ons and closet cleanouts :)
I was so excited when you pulled that tuxedo jacket. It's my favorite thing you got and looks awesome with the all black fit. Definitely the mullet of formal wear. 😆
My favorite Out of the Closet in the Bay Area!! Score on that Sézane. Love the tux jacket. Layer over lace sexy valentine. Perfect Cottagegore vibe. I'm here for it!
You are a real one for all the footage of the dogs that you saw on your trip.😍 Love all your fancy finds, and the museum! Thanks for taking us on this trip with you. ❤
The music in this one was just 😗👌 Really lovely. And nostalgic? Like it kind of reminded me of Mr Roger’s Neighborhood in a way? I don’t know but I loved this video!
Also love seeing solo museum visits! They are simply the best; especially with a curated soundtrack and endless time to look and feel things and probably cry a lil. Appreciate you. ❤
Omg so fun to see you in my neck of the woods! I love that you went to the Asian art museum, funny enough when I saw the little ceramic kappa I thought of you and love that you found it!! Thanks for a great video. Also I loved the casual style last week too!
I really love that museum. I also really like the objects on the top of your shelf with the black background so just see these white shapes. It looks really great up there.
Pls pls pls give us some more info on those little guy figurines in the asian art museum! I LOVE THEM!! I think I wanna draw them on this turquoise skirt suit set i thrifted. I ran out and bought fabric pens a while ago after watching one of your videos! And thank you sososo much for your content, your videos is such a highlight of my week! 🥰🤩
That Asian art museum was amazing!! Such beautiful pieces!! I have wanted a tail coat for the longest time! I have yet to score one!! I pictured wearing it over a band t with striped black and white pants and converse!! I love the way you styled yours!! Thanks for taking us along 😊
This was stunning as usual! I loved getting to travel to San Fran with you, the museum was amazing. Random footage of the pigeon🐦made me grin. When I'm needing a pick me up I'll watch your old content so I'm always happy to see a new video (long or short!) Take care! Byeeeee!!!
So I’ve driven behind a waymo car and they aren’t the best at driving. Though, that’s pretty typical for SF traffic so 🤷🏼♀️ Anyway, yay for a new video!
I love this video! I'm going to SF in a couple of weeks so this was very helpful in me to plan potential thrift stops! Also the spot you were standing in when you filmed city hall is where my wife and i had our post-wedding food truck lunch and it's such a beautiful place to sit and enjoy some bulgogi fries in your wedding dress.
I love watching your videos for outfit inspiration! When you first showed the tailcoat I really didn't think it'd be my jam, but the way you styled it in the all black outfit was SOOO cool!! I'll have to experiment with some androgynous styling
ok, I found that same poncho (sans stripes) in a different norcal thrift store, threw it on, and immediately yelled "I'm going on an Adventure!!!" to the friends I was thrifting with. Needless to say, it came home with me and I've since dyed it a nice indigo shade.
Tailcoats are the mullets of formal wear 🤣. I'm telling that to my Ringmaster/juggling husband. Your tailcoat was my favorite of your purchases. I'm into it!
That was a blast! Your museum montage was a fascinating little cultural snapshot - truly enjoyable - and your office friends were (sorry) wrong, wrong, wrong, about the tailcoat: your black ensemble was a winner, in my book. Thanks so much for all your content. I am enjoying working my way through the back catalogue.
Your videos are amazing I always enjoy them a lot whether they are more longer or shorter content, I really like how you communicate and the way you express yourself!!! Also I didnt dance in the dance break, didn't know I had to !!😶🌫
Lol I just got home from the Asian art museum seeing the murakami exhibit just to come home and see it through your video! Very cool coincidence! Loved this one btw!
So fun to see you walk past my building in a video! :) I've found some great pieces at Out of the Closet on Folsom, but Good Will is definitely more cost effective lol
Thanks for showing the museum! I was thinking of seeing that special exhibit. Wish I coulda seen you in the city. I’m stuck in the financial district, though. 🤷🏻♀️
Aaaaaahhhh i’ve been trying to thrift a sezane sweater for years! You totally scored! I haven’t been to the out of the closet on folsom in a minute but it’s one of my favorite spots and I’m definitely gonna stop by when i’m in the city next month. watching your videos both long and short format satisfies the thrifting goblin in my brain until i can manage to have time to go myself
So i think the wool cape you picked up is actually called a ruana! I've knit a pattern just like that before. A lot like a poncho, but you have some more versatility with how you wear the front pieces!
That was a fun video! Great work. The historic art in the Asian Art Museum looks incredible, but that Murakami stuff really has that soul-less web3 vibe to it. It's been there for almost a year, I look forward to seeing whatever replaces it.
Ain't no way - I also bought a tuxedo jacket when thrifting in Florida late last year! A teenage boy tried it on and his parents failed to talk him into getting it and I was like yoink, it's mine now! Can't wait to see how you style yours! Is that the new style item of the year since great minds think alike? Maybe.
the tailcoat gave me very nostalgic vibes as i totally associate that cut with my dad, conducting full orchestra concerts! so styling it with wild 'musician hair' and/or otherwise slightly unhinged (on a dancefloor! conductors are half gogo dancers up on that pedestal 😅) is a must ❤
Thank you for this wonderful video, I really felt like I was travelling with you! I love how you styled the "penguin" jacket (can't remember what they are called)! I'm also curious to see how you style the D&G shirt, I have a shirt with a similar colour vibe and I'm having difficulty styling it so...I'm hoping you will style it in a video some day so I can get inspired 😊!
I've been to that Out of the Closet and find the lack of any mirrors and the really high prices for mostly blah clothes to be obstructive to a pleasant shopping experience. However, the people are pretty nice. There are better places in SF.
The tailcoat looks like a shadbelly riding coat (which are indeed, the mullets of riding coats)! It going on to another life of being a fashionable garment tickles me to no end. Also, I danced during the dance break.
1:14 eeee those sandwiches are so precious! Japanese fruit cream sandwiches speak to my soul. 4:27 LMAO idk but the zoom and caption got me 🤣 Museum montage + dance break slapped so hard frfr 👏
What a wonderful video, Kathleen! San Francisco is one of my bucket list places to visit. You found such wonderful clothes. I love the second skin top you bought. I wasn't sure about the tail coat until I saw how you styled it... so fun! Personally, I loved the striped short sleeve sweater and the blue & black plaid Italian jacket. And, of course, I always love a dance break. See you next week! x
Did you dance during the dance break? Why not?????????? 😡
started grooving to the jazz while checking my phone, looked up and saw we were in a dance break, i felt.. caught lmao
Yes... a peepee dance in solidarity🫡
Isn’t every Kathleen video a dance break? 😂 you always treat us to best groovy tunes.
You know, the dance break was excellent, but the dancing gifs really elevated it to legendary. Thanks for catching cool slices of life in SF, especially doggos.
I totally danced 🙂
The museum art montage did NOT need to go that hard! Those lil guys were exactly what I needed to see this week😆
lol so glad you enjoyed!!!! 💃
I'm so pleased to have my life Kathleen-ified once again by this video. I feel refreshed & rejuvenated
Omg you have no idea how clutch this information is!!! ❤ THANK YOU
Whaaaat I gotta try this!! I’ve got a wool sweater I thrifted that I love but don’t wear enough because it’s so itchy 😩 it’d be great to find a way that I can wear it without needing a long sleeve shirt under all the time
Whoaaa this is next level information that will actually change my life ❤
As someone whose sole purpose in life is to run errands with people, I love when Kathleen asks if we want to come with her. I swear it sets off neurons in my brain
And she holds our hand when we cross the street! ❤
Yessssss, join the tailcoat club! We have a secret handshake, and everything 🎉
Your styling completely sold me on the mullet jacket 👀👀👀
I agree!
I mean there's just something about small objects in museums that really tickles the soul. Saw this little jade crab at the MET a few weeks ago and it hasn't left my mind since :')

@@janelte exactly! we are best friends now.
Shania Twain playing in the background as you were holding up that orange country dress was just too perfect 😂
Oh. My. Tailcoat! 😮 you look so fabulous! I’ve always wanted to find a tailcoat 😂 🤵🏻 It really suits you.
It's surreal as someone who lives in SF and has lived here her entire life to see it through the eyes of someone else.
the gasp i gusped when i saw how you styled the tailcoat was immeasurable
your videos always have a Mr Rogers vibe to them and I'm here for it :)
I’m so honored!!! His show is a huge inspo for me
That tailcoat is a DREAM! 🤩💫🌟
GREAT museum tour. Tuxedo --YES. Love your editing.
The music and editing on this one were top notch!! Like somehow even better than usual (which is a very high bar)
Museum is ABSOLUTELY play! Thank you for sharing your fun times!
Stalker lol
That sweater looks so cozy.
I love my tailcoat! Rock it girl!
X
Can you do more thrift store Vlogs as I love those and do your holy grail list. I know everyone has one I do!!
AH I have been so excited to vicariously thrift in a new city!! 💃🏻
Yes I absolutely clapped and danced along during the dance break who WOULDN'T with that saxophone
I was so excited when you pulled that tuxedo jacket. It's my favorite thing you got and looks awesome with the all black fit. Definitely the mullet of formal wear. 😆
I bought a vintage tailcoat to wear to Rocky Horror film nights back in the late 80s. Wish I still had it 😢 Love ya Stinky ❤️❤️
loved how you styled the tailcoat with that all black moment! and that cream sweater looks so cozy. definitely some good finds!
I changed jobs and now have to dress up a bit more for work. I'm having fun creating interesting outfits. Kathleen is definitely an inspiration.
One of my favorite videos! Thanks for the speed art museum tour!
4:26 I believe that is Bingo! The little sister of Bluey Heeler of the hit show Bluey that I ADORE
Petition for a full length Kathleen-imitating-artwork video! Warmed my soul
Trying to match my face to the art is my favorite museum activity. Well done.
Hi Kathleen. This is Dave. Heather & I just love your sense of humor. You surely bring a ray of sunshine to many people's lives. We love you❤❤❤
Omg so fun to see you in my neck of the woods!
8:55 i found a really gorgeous dolce&gabbana dress in a thrift shop today. it cost like 10$ and fit me perfectly so i just had to buy it!
The all black outfit with the tuxedo jacket is perfection!
The tuxedo jacket is my absolute favorite of your finds followed by the layering purple pink top. 🥰🎩💜
I can’t believe how well you made that tailcoat work! I feel inspired now!
That Asian art museum was amazing!! Such beautiful pieces!! I have wanted a tail coat for the longest time! I have yet to score one!! I pictured wearing it over a band t with striped black and white pants and converse!! I love the way you styled yours!! Thanks for taking us along 😊
i really appreciate that youre still masking!! 🙏🙏🙏
I loved the musical editing 😍
watching this with my morning coffee and chocolate poptart
Loved this video, thank you for taking us along and sharing your shenanigans with art and culture 🤪😫😮😂😂😂
This was stunning as usual! I loved getting to travel to San Fran with you, the museum was amazing. Random footage of the pigeon🐦made me grin. When I'm needing a pick me up I'll watch your old content so I'm always happy to see a new video (long or short!) Take care! Byeeeee!!!
The sculptures were so cool! The frog guy was my favorite. And (as always) I loved your video :)
So I’ve driven behind a waymo car and they aren’t the best at driving. Though, that’s pretty typical for SF traffic so 🤷🏼♀️
Anyway, yay for a new video!
Thanks Kathleen, that was a delight. The tailcoat was a wonderful find, it looks so stylish with all black.....
Was actually having a sip of H2O when you reminded us to drink our wawa and I never felt so accomplished
I loved the tailcoat with all black outfit. Can't go wrong with monochromatic.
So wonderful seeing you enjoy SF! Got a bit wigged out (in a good way) seeing you walk around my neighborhoods!
13:32 this painting (drawing?) is my favorite 💕💕💕
I love watching your videos for outfit inspiration! When you first showed the tailcoat I really didn't think it'd be my jam, but the way you styled it in the all black outfit was SOOO cool!! I'll have to experiment with some androgynous styling
Wooooow I need a tux jacket!! I never really considered it before, it would be so fun to pair with a casual fit
I would love to thrift in SF one day! All the stores you go to look amazing 😍😊
ok, I found that same poncho (sans stripes) in a different norcal thrift store, threw it on, and immediately yelled "I'm going on an Adventure!!!" to the friends I was thrifting with. Needless to say, it came home with me and I've since dyed it a nice indigo shade.

I'm telling that to my Ringmaster/juggling husband.

I'm into it!
That museaum dance break edit was just wonderful!!!
the tailcoat is everything!
Going to a museum is playtime and fun FOR SURE. Loved those carvings!
I'm so relieved you got the white sweater
That was a blast! Your museum montage was a fascinating little cultural snapshot - truly enjoyable - and your office friends were (sorry) wrong, wrong, wrong, about the tailcoat: your black ensemble was a winner, in my book. Thanks so much for all your content. I am enjoying working my way through the back catalogue.
Love the tux!...it's comme des garcons vibes!❤
yeah! YEAH!!!! 🥹💕
I needed a Kathleen video today! I have been binge watching your videos lately. Keep em coming!
That was fun. I love museums and you looked exactly like those little characters when making faces. Love the tuxedo
Your videos are amazing I always enjoy them a lot whether they are more longer or shorter content, I really like how you communicate and the way you express yourself!!! Also I didnt dance in the dance break, didn't know I had to !!😶🌫

Oh the Astaire vibes!!! ❤❤❤
For the record, I enjoy your longer videos but I really love your shorter videos - they're the perfect little bite sized treat for my lunch break!
Thanks for showing the museum! I was thinking of seeing that special exhibit. Wish I coulda seen you in the city. I’m stuck in the financial district, though. 🤷🏻♀️
Your instincts are perfection!
I LOVE A SAN FRANCISCO KATHLEEN!! 😍
Aaaaaahhhh i’ve been trying to thrift a sezane sweater for years! You totally scored! the vibes. THE VIBES. I loved this.

i loooooved this, really felt like i was there with you.... something i needed on a cold day on the east coast
Ain't no way - I also bought a tuxedo jacket when thrifting in Florida late last year! That was a fun and wholesome mix of a trip with you :D Great finds, especially the tailcoat and thanks for taking us along to the museum ❤
this video went so incredibly hard
I want to see the d&g shirt on! ❤
This was fun! I'm drinking wawa
The tuxedo jacket is amazing!!
