    This video is so timely! I just recently tried Thinx period underwear for incontinence issues! I traveled from Arizona back home to Vermont and it was absolutely amazing the piece of mind that I had during the very long day (14hrs.) My incontinence is rarely a full bladder empty but because of prolapse and issues from my stroke, when I leak, I don't feel it. I've had some really mortifying moments where I could faintly smell urine and realized it was coming from me. And of course the wet spots . . . For my personal needs, the period underwear is amazing. Thank you so much for sharing your experience!

    Knix also has pads that can go in and our is the panties. I think the high absorbent underwear with the pad insert would make the most sense. So you can keep the underwear on and have them as extra back up for leaks and use the pads they have like you do your disposable ones? 🤷🏻‍♀️ I think that would be good for swimming they do have bathing suit bottoms too! As you mentioned in this video, my wife and I would love to see a video by you on Body Image, Body Confidence, and Body Acceptance. I think hearing from you would help us, especially my wife, even if we wish we'd seen it years ago. The negative thoughts still lurk in our brains. It might be easier as we age, but maybe we just bury the thoughts more. Like you said in another video, "Function over Form". At this point, we are just happy to still be alive, to have survived bad things, and still being able to do some enjoyable things, even if parts of us no longer function like they once did. We are happy (or should be) for what we still have, not concerned about what we have lost. I think we would learn from how other people get to the point of acceptance. Someone once told me that as much as they thought they accepted their body image (for some it is a new-ish body image, for others it is the way its been since birth), they couldn't handle moving past a wall of mirror-like windows - their body didn't look like the way that they thought of themselves, or that they didn't want to be reminded of the fact. That admission really haunted me.

    • @EmpoweredPara
      @EmpoweredPara  Рік тому +4

      I think their is a different between accepting (being able to look at yourself with love) and ignoring. Sounds like your friend ignores their body. I'll do a video on this for sure!

    Many women have a similar belly because having a C section cuts through the abdominal muscles. Maybe you can consider that your belly did it's job by stretching to give you 2 beautiful children???
    I've seen advertisement for other brands created for the same issues and the reviews say similar to yours. It's a great idea but isn't easy to solve.
    The higher panties aren't a good proportion for you because you look like you have a short torso. I think everyone looks at their bodies and see things that they wish were different! Then, if that thing was changed we'd find something else we wished we could change! It's just the way we are wired!
    Have a great week. Denise

    • @EmpoweredPara
      @EmpoweredPara  Рік тому +3

      Yeah I think it's impossible to make something that works for everyone lol! I definitely tell myself that my belly did its job! It's still doing its job digestion my food and holding my organs! It's just bullshit conditioning that makes us think our bodies are something to criticize.

      This answer is just great and the closest, I believe, to our reality! We need to see us over and over again in order to really get used to... us! Therein lies the acceptability of each and everyone's "new" format. One thing that helps is to remember to fall in love with parts of our body that remain as cute as before or even better as we go on throughout our lives. For example, the person who has the most beautiful, talkative, or even unique eyes should remember to admire what God gave her/him... it wasn't meant ONLY for others to admire... it is for us also!... And we all have so many individual parts which would demand our appreciation but we tend to ignore whereas there still is a great beauty here! Get my drift? Power to each individual!@@EmpoweredPara

    Idk about this things; the bladder could hold too much liquid for such a small piece of absorvent material on the panties; i think the use of absorvent pads seem to be the best solution yet, that could be used together with the absorvent panties to add an extra layer of protection that be comfortable and protects your cushion and clothes.
