Hey Ryan, what do you think about just using the chain saw blade attachment on the angle grinder? I use those to take off bark quick and easy. Keep both hands on the grinder and you’ll be pretty safe...
I kinda thought live edge meant that the bark is left on? Could someone cut that shape into the edges of a 3x12 and then call it live edge? Is that a thing? Seems quicker that way? New and curious :)
@@RyanCookCarvin your right, that's a nice live edge, wasn't sure, I learnt more, apparently it's very difficult to keep the bark, it's dries quicker then the rest of the wood, especially with certain types but cutting the tree in winter helps keep the bark longer, wood naturally seals up the bark tighter to it's self for protection in the winter, cool vids man :)

Ryan do you add a clear coat now ? Or is that in the next video, I’m wondering if urethane can go on damp wood . That bench seat looks killer 👍🏻
When it dried its gonna crack. Might make it neater.
Hey Ryan, how do you mill the slab if it's too big for a thickness planer?

I don't have enough saw to make a bench like that. It's ok though, cause I don't have enough wood either.
