This might be the best video you guys have done. I love the idea of having multiple people throwing the same ball.

Being an old lefty........I like anywhere from 2nd to 3rd arrow out to the 1-5 board and watch her cruise right to 1-2 pocket. This Hammer Effect looks amazing. Now to get the wifey to agree! 😁

Speaking of Arsenals... would really like to see everyone's new arsenal (with drilling included if possible, too) as I really like seeing the change (or lack thereof) every year!
Edit: Yes, love the new style of vid and my starting point is to stand on 27 and aim at board 14 (arrows).

    What is Simoo's layout?

I just bough the Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid. I bowl similar to Simoo with a little more rev. Watching these guys throw this ball... I'm thinking I might have to add this to the lineup!! Great video guys

Effect is def on the list for Ball of the Year imo. I typically play right-side down and in standing around 22 and throwing at 10/12 moving left as needed.

Using the effect? Or just in general?

    • @SgtPhroste
      @SgtPhroste 7 місяців тому +1

@@P.vieRa_YT Effect since it carries down lane really well and has a crazy sharp back end. If I'm throwing something like Widow 3.0 or Extreme Envy, then, then I'm starting a few boards further left.

I am a lefty who throws a similar line like Barks. I consider that zone 2, not straight up the lane and not hooking it a ton like Goots. Great video guys!

I'm a 2 hander, but I love playing straighter. Thane never really worked for me, so I love heavy volumes where I keep my angles straighter. That being said, I'm also a pretty big fan of swinging the lanes, as I've got plently of practice at my home center's stupidly light volume house pattern (I stand on like 40 on the fresh)

I added one of these in 14lbs to my arsenal. So far it's treating me really well. My first two balls were an exotic gem and a storm absolute, and while they worked well, they were 15lbs and actually were introducing hand injuries if I bowled more than 4 games with them. So this was meant to replace those. I'm a fairly low rev rate bowler. Roughly 200-250 rev at 15-18 mph as needed. I tend to find the most success on house shot when sliding my foot into 20 or 21, treeing over the foul line at about the ten. Ball goes out to about the 5 -8 to get the pocket. Obviously I make adjustments from there, but somewhere in there is where I usually find the pocket at the best entry angle and ball energy.

I love my Effect. I just started bowling in January this year. No training (not for lack of searching). I only had a couple of 200+ scores with my old balls for several months. Finally, I got an Effect a couple of months ago and have thrown a dozen 200+ games and many close to it. I'm not sure if I will ever find a ball that comes close to this one.

I don't mind moving in but have trouble with the ball return getting in the way. If I move up or in front, I can't get enough ball speed.

  • @TrandafirRuby

I am very comfortable at 2nd arrow with my normal speed. Funny is that I'm a 2 hander. Bowled on mostly challenge and sport. Got used to playing right and not so deep unless we are on long.

I love when it’s enough oil to stay right but I’m great when it comes to playing the gutter. It’s usually the mid part of transition that I have issues with.

Looked to me that Barks was trying to make the ball play the way he wanted it to instead of playing the ball where the ball plays best. I would really like to hear from him about that.

Also being a lefty. This ball is great in later in the block when we get a little more carrybdown. It does have mid lane hook with continuous backend.

Lefty here, play a similar line as Gootz due to very high friction in my house. Widow 2.0 Hybrid and Envy Tour Pearl in my bag, and Effect is on the way...

question time- depends on what ball i'm using and lane conditions...
My Hustle Ink- this is going anywhere between 12-15 at the arrows out to 7-10 at midlane and break point. On dry lanes or when I have no energy, my knuckleball down 5 board does a great job.
My Hustle RIP- this ball hockey sticks. Normally when people think hockey stick, they like big angles, however i have realised if i send it through 20 at the arrows out to 13 and go deep, it cuts back very well into the pocket. With my knuckleball however, going down 12 board works well.
My Hustle M+M- in between ball. goes wide when i need it to, good arch coming into pocket. also well drilled to over hook and nail brooklyn strikes, and collect anything on the far left hand side to spare. Not good at the knuckleball on this ball

I just bought the effect last week. Did not have a good response on it didn't move enough to the left. I throw ball from the second arrow or a straight shooter getting a lot of hook at the end was crossing over . I shoot my ball a lot likes Simoo but farther to the right from where you were standing in the video, we'll try some practice shots tomorrow, moving to the left and see what kind of results l get

I'm a 17-18mph with 550-570 revs. Which do you think I should look at? Currently have Gem, Track Stealth, Black Widow Ghost, TNT Infused, Ocean Vibe. I was thinking purple Hammer.

I'm old school earl Anthony style ,, with a lot of fingers. The ax has been good, but I leave a lot of 7&10 pins . I have tried the raw, widow they snap to hard at the end, and I leave a lot of 4-7 and 6-7 splits. Yes, I am lefthanded ball speed is 14.5 to 15.25 . What should I try ? I like to stand around 20 board and throw between 2 & 3 dot which = to aound 7 to 5 board .

I'm more comfortable playing deeper in the lane. #teamrevrate but I love my effect so far. For a big shiny asym it's really stable and blends things out really well. Still has plenty of power down lane to cover boards but surprisingly smooth compared to what I expected.
