These videos are great and informational. For me I enjoy having all my balls at the most extreme layout with highest hook I can put on the ball I enjoy having to be precise and knowing my lanes from tournament to tournament.
I love the way Steve throws like how I got used to throwing my first storm ball the red thunderstruck as soon as I broke it in and the hook reaction wore down then it was smooth rolling
I'm more a power tweener...always have been since I was 16 and now 48...did bowl my first 300 last year so it's not all bad...I'm too old to change my style ...
Never too old. I’m 49 and added two handing 2 years ago. I actually 1 hand at one house always, and 2 hand at most others, depending on the typical lane condition. Cost is the only downside, but 200+ each way so far.
I grew up bowling traditional when I was 16 and on a high school team. Just now getting back into bowling after a lot of bs, but managed to keep my custom ball all these years. Everywhere I go, all these young guys, hell even little kids/girls are doing this 2 handed throw, I’ve never seen it before. The explosion is insane, you can throw a terrible first ball and get a strike off of it, whereas if I throw off of pocket, I get punished. I’m confused to whether get new inserts for my old ball, get a new ball entirely, or learn to this 2 hand deal. My knees just don’t quite do it like they used to, I drop the ball enough as it is - so I’m a little confused whether it’s my approach, equipment etc. it seems very forgiving & you can pick up spares no problem.
For me personaly it depends on what oilpatterns on the lanes an witch of my six bowlingballs I play with so it can be all from stroker to cranker or both stroker and cranker on the same pattern
I used to be a stroker especially when the lane gets dry and I decide to bowl faster. Now Im more of a tweener. I may also be a cranker depending on the ball and pattern Im dealing with.
Stroker( I think I am closer to power stroker) I am a typical lefty up the boards more speed then revs but I do the yoyo with my elbow and but ALOT of hand in the ball at the bottom.
It would be cool to get a video of Chad explaining how he changes his hand position and how it affects roll. And the science behind it (changing from 6" pin to PAP to 4' pin to PAP, etc)
the word ''Cranker'' is misleading, the high rpm of modern bowler are generated by release technique instead of ''Crank It Up'', however many older generation bowlers used this word.
His thumb comes out first and his fingers rotate around the ball which gives him the revs he has. He doesn’t really cup it too much so he’s not yamming on it, but he obviously has had some success doing it the way he does
Also for anyone wondering, Chayton (me) was right of Chad because my speed is about 2 MPH faster than Chad.
Not going to lie but you’ve got very good technique, keep up the good work brother!
@@jaycewebberGTBA thanks!

To be fair, I have never considered Steve a stroker, more of a power tweener.
He's a stroker, but his rev rate is more of what would be called a power stroker.
He's not a tweener by any stretch.
Great video. Ball looks good. Unfortunately, I'm somewhere between a walker and ramp.

Great video. I'm playing around with layouts right now.

I think most men can identify with Steve the stroker, hahaha 😂😂😂
Cool video talk tech bowling ball storm

There is a video on him and his hand release changes

Shout out to me the now fully accepted and endorsed title of Mr. 9000 RPM from Storm for Chayton. :D :D :D haha love it. 9000 RPM 🔥
gotta give the people what they want

Bowling is not about the Arsenal that bowlers use..is about consistent during every game and the approach ...correct me if im wrong...?
Where can i get the jacket the first guy speaking is wearing
Is bar open ?
It's ridiculous how EFFORTLESS Chad looks when throwing 500+ revs
It looks like Steve's hand has no role in his shot. Will you explain his release.
His thumb comes out first and his fingers rotate around the ball which gives him the revs he has. He doesn’t really cup it too much so he’s not yamming on it, but he obviously has had some success doing it the way he does
Bowling by Jason Belmonte game lol 😂
No thumb falls under what style in your opinion
somewhere in between 2H/Cranker
Is this a good ball for an 8mph bowler?
no. asymmetrical at that speed isnt a good option
First!
and second
However they throw the ball it rolls smoothly regardless I may look more into this one
Where are the female bowlers? 😢
They took the day off ...... and hit "The Road" .....
In the kitchen
Nobody on the pba or the pba50 tour gave the original dna any love. Why is that
Looks like some fouls on last bowler lol
