WHAT A MOVIE!! All played their roles PERFECTLY! ❤️❤️❤️
Herbert southern boy got ahold of your fiddle in his country voice so funny 🤣
"What have you been drinking Herbert?"--Like that not everyone at the table were snobs.
Great movie, even better book.
I agree. I really like the book. The way Tom's mother's gourmet cooking is described.....is some of the very best prose I have ever read.
It's crazy that Nick Nolte didn't win an Oscar for this. It's his most outstanding performance ever!.
I'm glad he at least won a Golden Globe for Best Actor in this movie.
YES !
Awesome movie 🎬
Love this movie... And Susan too...
I should re-watch it
LOVE IT!
Perfect scene.
Perfect !
Great movie. Had an impact!!
Nick Nolte he's a tough act.
Had Tom dropped the fiddle, it would have been the biggest humiliation on a cheating husband in cinema history. It would have been Herbert, not Tom, that would have paid the price…plus possibly attorney fees for divorcing Susan. Down And Out In New York.
Tom was a football star. He had it under control.
Had tom dropped the fiddle,he may have killed someone 😢😢😢
It's called a movie. Based on the (Fictional) book by Pat Conroy. It's not REALITY!
I always liked the line in the book better. It was something like, "If I drop it, some whino will be using the strings as dental floss." Though I can see why that line wouldn't have worked cinematically.
To this day there's still a stigma of going to a psychologist or psychiatrist
If you took everyone in Hollywood who went for therapy out of Hollywood, you'd have nobody left. So many of them went or should have gone. Richard Pryor had so many horrible bad things that hurt him growing up he bought it into his relationships.
The good news is: Mostly celebs are the ONLY ones who get to actually see a psychiatrist or psychologist in person anymore. At least in my state. They all, literally, delegate to APRN's or 'mental health counselors' & all the docs do is sign off on the meds. DISGUSTING. What did they bother to go to medical school for?!!
Interesting
2:25 IM SORRY SUSAN
My goodness....a musical instrument worth a million dollars. There's money well-placed, eh!
One of the best scenes in the movie on how a southern boy could react to a social pho par by a northern uperty self involved troglodyte.
