Bet you could rig that minigun barrel to fire rockets from Munitions, use a projectile override and decrease the damage slightly and it wouldn't be that unbalanced at all.

this is a stretch to ask but how do you create that firing range you have set up? a tutorial would be nice but i would mainly just like to know what mods are being used for it
i'm typically not into gun mods, unless they do something really interesting, which is rare, that missal gun mod looked interesting to me but also a bit overpowered, everything else looked boring to me. i do kind of like gun mods, but not the individual gun mods, i like them in packs because i would rather go to one mod to get all the guns instead of 50 to 100 other mods for the gun choices, but it seams in FO4 it doesn't work like that. that was more of a skyrim thing, and in skyrim there was only one armor weapon mod worth my time, and that was hothtrooper44 "immersive weapons and armor" mod that mod packed so many options of weapons and armors within it i never felt the need to use any other weapon or armor mod simply because it was a large pack in a single downloaded file.

I have no idea why someone would use vanilla guard armors, for example, when something like NordWarUA's Sons of Skyrim exists (assuming they have that option). Larger bundles like that are typically vastly inferior in quality. Modern Firearms (or whatever it's called) for FO4 is a good example of that.

@@Herr_Affe ok so i just looked up sons of skyrim mod, and yeah it came out Original upload 26 May 2022. that's why i have not heard of it, but it's also just guard armor and a few weapons, don't get me wrong it's a nice touch for sure but it still doesn't offer anywhere near what variety immersive weapons and armor mod has in a single pack, but i do like them, i like that they don't make every guard in each hold look too much the same lol, that was always the criticisms in skyrim, every holds guards looked too similar with only one slight change, their colors lol, stormelcoaks were blue and imperials were brown and some had the silver armor but every other city had the same lame whiterun armor variant with diffrent colors and a slight change to their city's icon on their shields or armor.

The reality is that you'll get higher quality by downloading multiple, different mods than from a single, large pack of items in a single mod. Generally, people download mods because they don't like or are tired of vanilla assets, hence my point about NordwarUA's armor mods vs. Immersive Armors. The former adds completely new designs, while the latter reuses vanilla assets while mixing them up with assets from different franchises that have completely different aesthetics. Another example of an armor (well, it's technically an armor and weapon overhaul, divided into 2 parts) pack like that is Old Kingdom, which again adds lots of content, but at a lower quality.

These mods are ok, but when I want to have goofy fun, I play with RIDABLE BOTS...has a little red truck that goes everywhere even on water and the bots are cool as heck to ride, then there's 'LETS DANCEfor the NPC's which is cool cuz you can shoot the bomb one and make all your enemies dance while you shoot them...they still talk shit to you though while you shoot them. Another fun mod is WACKY WEAPONS SEASON PASS, where you go on like a scavenger hunt for some of the wackiest weapons there are...bliliger that fills the world with water which pisses off codsworth...never saw him angry before that, some other really fun weapons, it's worth it or you can drop the note and read it and all the guns show up in your inventory., Then there's DRIVABLES OF THE COMMONWEALTH...huge cats, dogs and Giddy up horses...and a small addition which is a doll house in a home in Concord that makes you small. Then there's COOKIEPALOOSA, when you find a chocolate chip cookie the fun begins, then there the Knome one that is fun...I could go on forever but these to me are the fun mods.

@Rajorn I think there was a mod that changed the game from the start, made into a situation where you didn't make it into the vault and so had to survive the new horrors unleashed by nuclear war....basically turned the game into survival game though. There's not really any mods that try to replace the main story.... there were a few modders here and there that tried but mainly gave up due to the scope of that undertaking alone.
@Rajorn there's a few mods that at least free you from the role of a concerned parent, like Start me up REDUX. Like I said, it's mainly due to the fact it would be a massive undertaking that would take years to do, and that's if you have a team of people dedicated to the cause.
You're asking for too much. There's a reason why there aren't many mods that touch FO4's main questline. Even Skyrim only started getting mods to improve its questlines in the last few years (or at least that's what it feels like, anyway). Some turds are harder to polish than others.

@@dankmemelord414 i disagree, but only on the principle of fixing the game, they left in so much shit that kept their game in a broken state for years and years and only came to give it a try now was a bad idea, but ultimately i want them to fix the game, there should be no fucking excuse to leave any game in that state for that long ever! the major issue with bethesda is they can't seem to do this job without breaking the game and making things worse, i often wonder if they ever really bug test their updates before release, because it often feels like they never do and instead leave all that bug testing to the players. but then you get into conspiracy theory mode and start to think maybe they broke the game on purpose to move ppl over to FO76 or starfield, because how long has it been since they did the FO4 update and broke the game? it was sometime in the spring right? and we haven't heard anything about it ever since, except from people having issues with the update. i of course never updated for myself because i know Bethesda's slow as fuck track record in fixing their games is damn near forever and i don't trust that so i froze steam through the appmanifest to prevent the update from happening. so my mods aren't having any issues because i'm still using last gen and never upgraded.

I only can omagine someone make a warhammer 40k weapon pack to fallout 4, like a pack with a lasgun, a auto gun, a plasma cannon and a bolter and all of them would work on the fallout 4 engine, since most of this weapons have a pistol version that is just short barrel with a pistol grip and maybe a guardsman armor to go...but well is just a mod idea and i dont have a pc or know how to do it... It uses a framework to lessen the Size of the mod, the stooge framework (includes the scopes, muzzles textures) . That itself is 1gb. However if there was alot of demand for it i wouldnt mind making a version of the mod that has the scope and muzzle textures inside the kar mod itself if there was a porter willing to put it into xbox

i of course never updated for myself because i know Bethesda's slow as fuck track record in fixing their games is damn near forever and i don't trust that so i froze steam through the appmanifest to prevent the update from happening.
so my mods aren't having any issues because i'm still using last gen and never upgraded.

I only can omagine someone make a warhammer 40k weapon pack to fallout 4, like a pack with a lasgun, a auto gun, a plasma cannon and a bolter and all of them would work on the fallout 4 engine, since most of this weapons have a pistol version that is just short barrel with a pistol grip and maybe a guardsman armor to go...but well is just a mod idea and i dont have a pc or know how to do it...
And i know there already a bundle out there but is 10 years old and the textures a very ps2😂😂😂😂

Someone port the kar98 to cbox the other one is nearly 200mb way to big
It uses a framework to lessen the Size of the mod, the stooge framework (includes the scopes, muzzles textures) . That itself is 1gb. However if there was alot of demand for it i wouldnt mind making a version of the mod that has the scope and muzzle textures inside the kar mod itself if there was a porter willing to put it into xbox
