Every operation was better than the one before that. But the last three ones were all (except from the cosmetics) a step backwards. So I'm not even sure if I should get excited for a new operation.

The "terror hunt" game mode likely might come out in a wider push for CS2's new game mode coding stuff instead of an operation: we have seen the new coding system's proof of concept in the Arms Race game mode but we are yet to see it's wider integration into the community workshop. How about mini operations with game modes voted in by the community?
Honestly, I don't think this update is bad, we just expected it to be something else. At least this way it seems like they are still tackling issues the game has rather than spoon-feed us another way for them to make money. The operation would have distracted the community for a while, maybe, but that doesn't mean the problems would have just disappeared.

They would probably use this time to create a 2024 Overpass collection. I think danger zone and a new case will release together before shanghai major though

We deserve more, we are supporting and enduring everything in a beta game to which they add animations and nonsense that no one cares about, even... it feels like they think we are idiots, or maybe people didn't know they could download the maps the workshop? Nobody played them and now they won't either. They fill the market with stickers but they hardly ever add new skins, we have been waiting for 1,000 days for an operation that they promised 1 every year. We don't have anticheat, the ranks are garbage, the winning streak and lossing make all games the same (13-5) we don't have maps that people really want like cobble, train, cache... mirage and dust 2 are the same years ago, come on... the one who recommends the following updates at Valve seems like the creator of Valorant wanting to destroy CS.

Riptide ended 21st of February 2022, its been 2 years already valve could at least give us a little something of content to do in game, last case we got was killowatt and was just that a case nothing more and it has been 5 months 4. This update felt like valve saying to us "here take this maps and rejoice", in reality we had more game modes in csgo (like retakes, dangerzone and Flying Scoutsman) they didn't even added a gamemode, the only thing they did this update was update de mvp banners( i mean its cool but no one asked for it LOL).

No one would be as upset as they are if mainstream content creators did not hype this up the way they did. Anomaly, arrow, ohnepixel, and others really did the community dirty by hyping this up and spreading all this questionable info about dates and leaks and stuff that they don’t even really understand. I know that everyone WANTS a big update but keep in mind that CS at its core is the light in the darkness of games with constant battlepass, no trading, no community modding, etc. focus on the positives and consider if you want the negatives that come with a faster content cycle
CS is still the ONLY mainstream competitive FPS with opportunities for independent developers to generate content (skins, maps) AND be fairly compensated for their work. Valorant, rainbow6, COD, etc have NO opportunity for community involvement at this level.

I think, that there arent many great maps on the workshop, so they dont want to "rush" the operation with the little high quality maps that are available. I feel like the Hammer2 editor is more complicated than the original Hammer, so it will take the mappers some time to adapt.
I mean, there isn't even custom logos for the maps.. not even a case 😭 It's either that CS2 is going the TF2 route or they're just working on this with like 4 guys in the team.

There is no operation, because that would involve Valve having to actually work on their products, and that is just not their thing.

Only played the mills map once, but I really liked it. Didn’t like the other one.
mills is playable but boring as fuck, it’s basically another map with 3 lines, it’s the same like dust, mirage but now you have donut on mid
