Man the ai in this level really screwed me over, the falcon at the beginning refused to land until most of the enemies were gone so I was short on dmr ammo for the whole playthrough. Then it kept spawning in the falcon before I could take down the hunters. Thank you so much for this guide mate.
This was the first LASO I did back for the weekly challenges when the game first came out. The amount of credits after that was so satisfying, fun times.
Many probably know, but just a tip for the flying part, use the overcharge feature of the turret grenade launcher strategically to buy you more time in getting rid of the ground turrets, especially if you had no shields, like I did. I overcharged the wraith and a turret (effectively "killing" them briefly) to buy time to not take damage while killing the other turrets and enemies.
@@yougotaknife no i have the same problem except the hunters destroy the falcon. 3 times over the falcon came early and got blown up. Idk why but it just decides to show up and ruin my day.

So I know i'm two months late to this thread, but the first time i played this mission i accidentally bumped the falcon with the wraith i hijacked, and when it took off it got stuck in a tree and couldn't move, softlocking me haha.
14:40 In the last update, they added cannon elites, plus when you get to the tower, the enemies discover you, so it's more complicated since there are 3 elites and not 1. (the same happens in the last part of the first mission) The way to take them down is to circle the platform outside the tower so you can melee kill enemies from behind.
I got really lucky when it came to dealing with the Hunters. After dealing with all the Jackals and Grunts, Jorge and the Hornet spawned in and landed, which distracted the Hunters and exposed their backs to me. Still, thank you so much for making this video!
If you leave the Revenant up top, drive the hog over to the left pillar. Crouch jump onto the pillar and sprint crouch jump onto the ledge to get back up. Just worked for me.
I do LASO on co-op. And single player and co-op have differences sadly. We and my partner spawned with ARs instead of DMRs so we had to skip the beginning section, hijack an unaware Ghost and hop onto the unattended Ghost nearby to destroy the AA Turrets. We used the knowledge that any weapons can destroy any vehicles so we knew the Ghost projectiles would affect the Turret. We used the Ghost mainly to boost away from most sections until the second AA section, where we took it out from a distance, used the Warthog on the destroyed bridge to be a stationary Turret just out off range fro. The enemy and used a Revenant for extra damage. Past the Falcon section, we followed the guide through the book until we entered the Spire. We had to deal with 3 Elite Ultras. One Sword, two concussions. Many trial and errors until we managed to manipulate their agressions enough to lure one out at a time, back-stabbed the first Concussion elite, the sword came next, didn't want to risk back stabbing him so I used the concussion rifle to fly that asshole off the Spire, the last Elite I had my friend distract him while I took the long way round to back-stab him too. The guide helped a lot when it came to improvising on co-op
7:54 when you finish destroying the cannon take the warthog off the area and hide. Eventually the falcon will come and you can do a dash with the warthog and get in the falcon. Once you do that immediately use the Mac gun on the hunters to stun them. You should be good and you have skipped and you have skip the entire section
@fisher foster Looking at his guide it doesn't look too bad once you get onto the ship. The same box strategy is used constantly once inside to block out enemies and provide cover. During the last part the Pelican can be used for invincibility. Is there something I'm missing?
@@kingja2000 what I found that helps for the initial part is to stay near the bottom and fire rockets at the phantoms when they show up. Before that there is ship wreckage to the left if facing the station. Hanging out inside and under the wreckage should work pretty well if you take your time playing conservatively. For the covenant ship, fly quickly under it and take out as many banshees as you can. Then focus in the engines (carefully dodge cannon fire back there). If you manage your angles well, you should be fine. Then hangout on the side of the friendly ship not in sight of the cruiser. That friendly can literally take out all enemies if you're patient. If not, hang out by it until it takes a good amount out. Hopefully this helps with the space part. Edit: added info for the covenant cruiser section
The needle rifles in the crate by downed falcon made the hunters pretty easy. Jorge had already landed and the hunters were focused on him. Was just able to constantly supercombine them
I run this yesterday in 4 co-op and...took us over 2 h cause we kept having issues in the falcon section (where unfortunately of the two falcons the game gives you only one has grenade launchers) and the big tower at the end (we killed everything, didn't know we had to kill just the sword elite and the grunts inside to press the button so we wasted time and tries killing the other elites). We'll probably wait for you to upload the rest of these guides lol As always, amazing video Silver!!
Useful advice for if you left the revenant up top. Bring the warthog you used to kill the tower, to the beam beside the bridge you jumped off. Reverse the hog and jump on the gun, then onto the concrete pillar
That part where you left the Revenant on the broken bridge with the Warthog. I did the same thing. If this happens you, you can drive the warthog down and there's a pillar right beside the bridge where you left the Revenant. Bring the Warthog right up to the pillar where you can crouch jump onto the pillar, and jump back onto the land right beside it to get the Revenant back.
I took the Hunters out using the warthog, I made sure to stay out of range of the hunters. I was having no luck using the rev... also, my falcon came in early as well...
If anyone had trouble backstabbing the elite at the end like I did, what I did was pop the fuel rod grunt, take the fuel rod and get outside, the elite will come out, blast him with it and stick him, he should get blasted off, then just finish off the grunts and hit the button
Here's a tip I found accidentally: When you board the helicopter thing, board the LEFT side facing the massive battle that is going on in the rail section. It is so much easier. You only encounter 1 Wraith, couple of turrets and some idiot Elites. I did it on my first try
Jorge’s falcon came down when the hunters and wraith were still there and one of the elites HIJACKED the falcon.. I’ve never in my life seen that happen and for that to happen on my first laso play through tops it
If you leave the mini wrath on the bridge and can't get it just stay in the warthog out of sight until the falcon shows up then drive to the side of the falcon the enemies aren't shooting at and enter. The falcon ride opposite of the he took seemed to be a little safer.
Ok, WARNING: If you, like me, encounter enemies at the start who instantly fill those turrets back up, making you spend a lot of DMR ammo, then DONT follow the guide at 4:07. I got myself stuck behind the enemy on that platform there, realised my DMR was empty, and I had only 2 mags assault rifle. Thats a turret and 15 other infantry; If you don't have anything to headshot these guys, you basically have to press escape and restart the level..
MyGreenStang ! Me and three other guys were doing this two nights ago. For whatever reason, our third had to do “chores” at 1 in the morning, we were ten seconds away from completing the mission and he either lagged out or got booted. We could’ve gotten it done quickly if he didn’t go AFK towards the end. There was 3 Elites at the top of the structure we had to kill.
MyGreenStang ! We beaten it, I for some reason made it sound like we didn’t beat it, he was left out from the rest of the runs. Me and another good friend got it all done yesterday night because of our patience and quick thinking of hard encounters while watching Mythic Tyrant, Naked Eli, WofLy(I think it’s how you spell it) and Halo Completionist. Fun but rage enduring over small errors
Make sure you get in the right side of the Falcon. The left side is just impossible because so many elites spawn and you can’t kill them because human weapons do nothing to them
If you take too long at the part with the hunters and wraith (mine didn't kill themselves) Noble team will fly in on the Falcon and be a distraction, which will help in dealing with the remaining enemies
Luke Lyons Found out its cause you are too far away from where it drops down. Gotta walk a little ways back towards the group of enemies for it to land.
So I did the same mistake that Silver did and tried so hard to get the Revenant back, but I couldn't. Turns out that after a certain time period, the next part of the mission will start and the falcon will land for you to board. Just gotta make sure you kill most of the covenant before they kill you.
The one thing I know to be true, if there is something convenient that happens in this game. It will not happen for my playthrough. "Both these wraiths will usually back up off the cliff and we don't need to worry about them" 10/10 never happening for me. lol Both wraith's beating the hell outta me during that whole section. without fail.
So I had no wraith at all in that second AA gun area which was nice. I also found that driving the warthog to fire at the hunters from super far away was way faster at killing the hunters. The falcon with George came way before i killed everyone too so I hope all the damage it took does hurt me for the fly over the canyon I'm about to do...
Hey man. Is there any special spot to stand on or something to trigger the pelican dropping? For me I'm stuck at the beginning of the mission because everytime I kill the two Shade grunts the Elite ultra immediately jumps in and by the time the pelican comes in it just stays in the sky and shoots with its turret making the mission drag on
The turrets need to be empty for the pelican to spawn in then start landing. Headshot grunts as the try to get back in the turrets, but if an elite gets in you can get him to bail out by using an overcharged grenade launcher.
@@HaloCompletionist I've been having issues with the pelican not dropping the hog as well. It's weird, popping the two grunts out of the shades works in a normal Legendary run, but it doesn't seem to drop until almost everything is dead in LASO.
Should've showed us how to get the revanant from up top. I follow the videos section by section so i left the revanant up there and couldn't figure where to put the warthog to get it back.
I was stuck on that pair of hunters for over an hour... and then I managed to hit restart instead of save and quit. In one attempt I hit them with a dozen Revenant shots, both the available plasma launchers, the grenade launcher, and 4 grenades and that didn't seem to do anything to them. In another for some reason Jorge decided to come in while the hunters were still alive. I decided to take the risk on trying to use the falcon to escape, but it just got me killed. Screw these hunters.
I should really stop following these vids without watching through the whole thing first, got the revenant stuck on top just like in the vid and took forever to get it down
@@HaloCompletionist is this tactic taken to be despised in the Halo community, by the way? Not that I care if it is despised, but I'm kinda curious Also, really like these videos, they are really helpful
two different things, Challenge LASO and LASO are different. Challenge LASO that was in the challenges to get credits on xbox 360 Reach isnt on PC MCC Reach. Also Challenge LASO is the one with the blind skull not included. normal LASO includes it
Like play without Blind and put blutack over your reticule. Then when youre in laso you know where youre shooting. Some people use tape or draw on their screen but blutacks safer.
Maybe someone allrdy typed this, but when i board the falcon with the grenade part.. I just hop on the othr side, that side is not that difficult.. less turrets and enemies, real fast part here ;)
for some reason the extraction came for me while the hunters were there, they shot up my ride and left it in terrible condition for the next part, luckily it was bugged and did not proceed. got mad and used a mod to get to pass the same part and then removed it to proceed lol
The Pelican RIGHT at the very beginning doesn't drop off the Warthog, it just sits up there shooting until EVERYTHING is dead. That part of the guide is very inconsistent. Even if I completely destroy the turrets it still doesn't land. omfg I went near that last fucking turret and spawned the drones. Had to restart the mission because I was dead upon loading every fucking time. I was so confused because the Hunters were alive and just SHITTING on the hornet. For some reason it just landed even when the enemies were still alive like. fml. Restarting a level is hands down the worst thing for LASO. I cannot believe how fucking tanky they are either, like well over a hundred Revenant shots. What the fuck. 10 stickies too and still not a single one has died. I know they get more health in laso but I didn't even register them as a threat before, like their health wasn't even worth mentioning before. Now they're WAAAY tankier than the fucking buildings behind them I don't know what to do. I've been here for 20 minutes hitting them with this Revenant. The hornets are on fire so I don't know if I'm going to just die in 1 hit as soon as I touch that thing so fuck me. TIP: You can get into the other side of the Hornet that Halo Completionist gets in and its MUCH MUCH easier. Jesus christ finally I DEED EET. This level was worse than Regret for me, holy shit why do some levels just wreck me, Oracle from Halo 2 is another easy one but it was one of the hardest levels for me.
You should have included the steps to getting back up there to get the revenant..... I follow section by section because I cant remember the whole level and I dropped down without the revenant. I ended up taking all the Peons out with DRM, Wraith with my barehands, Hunters and Elite with the Warthog. For anyone struggling with the Gunner part on the Falcon, you have to take out the turrets before you get into range. Once you are in range you are f***ed. Turrets should be #1 priority
Halo Completionist oh it makes sens even if i dont know why lol but thanks i got it anyway im a the end! Just crashed with thé falcon thanks again though:)
Ive been stuck on the checkpoint with the two hunters for over a week now...how you do these levels in one take for the most part is beyond me...fuck LASO, even with your guides its not doable
@@HaloCompletionist its mainly the hunters. It seems like half the time I can kill everything but them and the elite, and the other half I just die instantaneously.
Take the hog and go all the way to the right side of the cliff once you whittle it down to just a few enemies. You can park it over there and annihilate them from afar. Itll take awhile but better than a bunch of restarts.
Halo Completionist Yeah, that’s what I’ve been trying to do. Been at it so long a few times the falcon just came down to pick me up. Learned not to jump in the hard work way. I appreciate the response
Lol yeah it could work getting in early. Sometimes they dont see you and you take off, but other times they take you out. I forget if I had that hog tactic in this video or not.

Should of actually showed us how to get the revenant back, now I’m stuck
A month late, but you can take the warthog down from the ledge and park it to get some extra jump height
Should've showed us how to get the revanant from up top. I follow the videos section by section so i left the revanant up there and couldn't figure where to put the warthog to get it back.
I need help the AA gun doesn't blow up either way plz help
I can't seem to get my shields down when I overheat the plasma pistol
Guys I've just posted a video about the Backtracking at 10:00 if you're having trouble. Just check my comment in the most recent video.
i cant pickup health packs even if i damage myself with a plasma pistol
"Don't leave your revernt up there"
Oh....well fuck
I was stuck on that pair of hunters for over an hour... and then I managed to hit restart instead of save and quit.
In one attempt I hit them with a dozen Revenant shots, both the available plasma launchers, the grenade launcher, and 4 grenades and that didn't seem to do anything to them.
In another for some reason Jorge decided to come in while the hunters were still alive. I decided to take the risk on trying to use the falcon to escape, but it just got me killed. Screw these hunters.
Followup; I got it with an extremely risky wraith hijack. On to the sword elite!
How do you spawn with a DMR not an AR?
Solo you get a DMR, coop you get ARs apparently. I'd send some charged grenades towards the turrets and EMP them which will get the pilots to bail.
@@HaloCompletionist Thanks for the tip! We managed to get it done in the end
Where the hell did you get a DMR
I should really stop following these vids without watching through the whole thing first, got the revenant stuck on top just like in the vid and took forever to get it down
When I went up the hill at 3:06 there was a golden BOB up there and he killed me lol
*shooting turrets while in falcon*
Pilot stops in front of a wraith as I destroy turret
Wraith kills me
What's the thumbnail
Score -9100 time 53:16. I REALLY hate the blind skull
Just use scotch tape and a sharpie lmao
The begging does not work for me. No matter how many times I restart the mission, the elite jumps in the fuel rod turret.
Shoot whatever turret he gets into with the grenade launcher and emp it, he'll jump back out.
Tried laso on the first mission and after realising I get sent to the beginning I quit
When you die, immediately hit pause, then save and quit. Resume and it'll start you back up at your last checkpoint.
@@HaloCompletionist is this tactic taken to be despised in the Halo community, by the way? Not that I care if it is despised, but I'm kinda curious
Also, really like these videos, they are really helpful
Does any one know if you can customize your spartan for campaign? Or am I grinding Fucking Grif Ball for nothing?
I thought LASO didn't include blind anymore. I remember the LASO challenges in reach and Blind wasnt there
two different things, Challenge LASO and LASO are different. Challenge LASO that was in the challenges to get credits on xbox 360 Reach isnt on PC MCC Reach. Also Challenge LASO is the one with the blind skull not included. normal LASO includes it
TheOfficial323 real laso didn’t. It used to be called a mythic run then 343 fucked that up
how can i avoid the blind skull?
"Back" button on controller or "TAB" key on keyboard to see what weapon you have equiped
You cant. Little blob of blutack in the centre of your screen can act as a reticule if you need.
@@1xoACEox1 What do you mean with blob of blutack?
Like play without Blind and put blutack over your reticule. Then when youre in laso you know where youre shooting. Some people use tape or draw on their screen but blutacks safer.
Yeah I use a square piece of clear scotch tape and trace the sniper reticle onto it while in a custom game.
Maybe someone allrdy typed this, but when i board the falcon with the grenade part.. I just hop on the othr side, that side is not that difficult.. less turrets and enemies, real fast part here ;)

@@ScraggyPls ? wut
dude isnt this method the same as Nak3deli video?
whose idea was it to give hunters a Trillion health?
Playing Halo Reach LASO after Halo 2 LASO is like getting a back massage
Make sure your controller batteries are charged :(
Ty
@@FerscMoses I was literally mid way and my batteries died so it reset me lol. That why I quit halo
Hello I am here
We had the 2 falcons get fucked by dumbass concussion rifles and we had to restart the entire level. So fucking infuriating
for some reason the extraction came for me while the hunters were there, they shot up my ride and left it in terrible condition for the next part, luckily it was bugged and did not proceed. got mad and used a mod to get to pass the same part and then removed it to proceed lol
This level took me an hour an a half idk bout this being one of the easier levels😂
This level was worse than Regret for me, holy shit why do some levels just wreck me, Oracle from Halo 2 is another easy one but it was one of the hardest levels for me.
i need help campain all halo please men
you great
Bro I don’t spawn with a dmr....
Press y
SoftTaco it’s because of you do co-op you get different guns
You should have included the steps to getting back up there to get the revenant..... I follow section by section because I cant remember the whole level and I dropped down without the revenant. I ended up taking all the Peons out with DRM, Wraith with my barehands, Hunters and Elite with the Warthog.
For anyone struggling with the Gunner part on the Falcon, you have to take out the turrets before you get into range. Once you are in range you are f***ed. Turrets should be #1 priority
How thé fuck do you have a dmr in thé begining.. i have an assault riffle..
Someone else asked this. I assume you're playing coop? Apparently in coop everyone gets ARs, but solo you should get a DMR.
Are the hunters giving you the problem at the end, or the whole encounter?
I forget if I had that hog tactic in this video or not.
aye lmao
